Can someone give some insight about what February 2023 looks like?

I just got back from a Pop solo trip and now my husband and I are looking to go right after Princess Weekend.

Just looking for insight on weather, crowds, ect? Thank you!

Don't go the last week of February. President's day week is one of the busiest times of year to go due to a lot of kids in the US having off from school as well as the Princess Half Marathon. I went that week this year since that's when my birthday is and the entire resort were INSANELY crowded. Not just the parks but Disney Springs and the hotel pool as well. I stayed at Port Orleans Riverside and it was impossible to find a pool chair at the main pool midday.

As for weather, when I went it was in the 90s and I was in a t shirt/shorts. It could also be very chilly. It varies a lot.

My husband and I went the first week of February this year and it was great. No rain at all while we were there) at least that we saw. temps were great too. I wore my leggings and a tee shirt and had my sweatshirt for when I would get cold (since I'm cold natured) and hubby wore his shorts and a tee shirt and was very comfortable (unlike when we went in August and he was sweating so bad his shirt was sopping wet). Our last night there was a cold front and we had to buy him a blanket for his legs because we didn't have time to go back to the resort for him to change into his jeans. I think early february will now be the time we pick to go from now on. The crowds were up a bit from what they had been in the past (at least from what I read since this was our first February trip) but I believe that's because international travel has resumed and people were finally feeling safe enough to travel again.

We made 2 trips earlier this year: one was Feb 27 to March 4 and the other May 20 to 27. The weather in Feb/March was shirtsleeve during the day and sometimes sweatshirt at night - no rain at all. We went to the first days of Flower and Garden. In May only one really bad rainstorm on the 20th in the evening otherwise PERFECT weather. May was a better choice. The plantings and topiaries at Flower and Garden were more mature. The parks were much less crowded and felt more like pre COVID as many more of the restaurants were open. Also, as we are DVC, May was less costly point wise. We will be going back in May in 2023.

We went the first week in February a couple years ago and booked the same week for next year! I think it’s the perfect weather! The only day it got above 80 was the last day. The only down side was getting out of the pool was a little chilly…but I’ll take that over sweating walking around the parks any day. And the crowds weren’t bad at all! Just check the “Crowd Calendar” from undercovertourist.com

Our last visit in the winter was late January 2020. It was chilly and rather dreary most of the week. February can be very nice for those of us from colder climates (example - early February 2017 was quite warm), but can also be chilly and we’ve experienced both. I think it’s a nice time to visit attendance-wise, but we’ve usually done so before the mid-month holiday.

I’m actually booked for mid February 2023 and love the weather at this time of year. It’s warm but not hot (generally) and I escape the northern winter weather for a week. 😊

I went the last week in Feb in 2020. It was cold, like jeans and sweater weather. The crowds were bad because of Mardi Gras. We go in April now to avoid those.

We're booked for NH school vacation week (Friday Feb 24- Friday March 3), we did April break this year and it was too hot to be pushing a double stroller around.

I feel like at this point, I can either deal with heat and crowds, or be comfortable and crowded.

We went in Jan/Feb 2018 and loved the weather. Pool was heated so it was still comfortable even though I don’t think temperature went above 75 or so. It rained one day but just a light on and off rain. Overall we preferred it to our visits in may and September weather wise. I think our early March visit had the best weather (consistently hot enough for swimming while not being scorching hot) although I can remember visiting in mid March once as a kid and there was a cold snap that made things chilly. It’s always variable I guess but I think touring the parks in the 70s is preferable for us to the 90s. But it depends on how much you dislike the heat.

Late February has been our favorite time of year to go and is usually our go to but have not been since 2018 (was supposed to go in may 2020 but ya know……) the weather has always been fantastic for us being from the Midwest, upper 70s-low 80s with no rain. Usually we needed a hoodie for the evenings but could still wear shorts and shirtsleeves during the day. We have also found it to have manageable crowds and never had super long waits. We are going in mid January this year so we are packing for every scenario

End of February to earlly March is our new travel time, since eldest child "spring" break falls that week; and youngest is between sports seasons. We love it. It's a great break from Northern USA winters, but very pretty and little rain in Florida. Crowds and prices also are favorable. We went that same week in 2022 and it was great; have another trip booked for 2/25-3/1 for 2023.

We went in the second week of February this year and it was good. When going in February, you need to be aware of when Mardi Gras is as many will travel to Disney as schools give kids 3 days off.
