Ditto to what OTRgal said... I am a BJ's member, and my rate through Alamo keeps going down for 2/7-2/14. I am going to keep checking until the day before we leave to see what the final number will be!!

Love that they include an additional driver (spouse) at no additional charge. Happy with this but will keep looking until it's time to go.

9 day mini-van rental- 2/28 to 3/9. Was able to get it under $300 using Budget and going to Retailmenot as Badamon suggested. I used D464700 & MUGZ165 and was able to get it for $274.56.

The D464700 was the BCD & the MUGZ165 is the coupon code. Forgot to add, this is out of Tampa.

In case anyone is still looking, I just came across an offer for a mid-size weekly rental at Dollar for $204.99 ($277.32 w/ taxes). Use promo code JWKRQ. This seems like a very good deal, especially if you are going for President's Week. I think you can get the same offer from Thirfty usingthe same code.

I'm looking for a 5 day rental 2/26 - 3/3. I usually rent thru Alamo, but the prices are too high right now. I can get a better price thru National, but here's the weird thing - the price is lower if I don't log on with my Emerald Club number first. They list a full size for $222.50/wk using code 5004279 and coupon NFB2699MX (one free day), which comes out to a total of $236.34. Same weekly price when I log in, but on the fianl page it comes to $285. ?????? Anyone had this happen before?

The Visa Coupon Code is AD7394SDJ. It was listed several times on page 4 with the Vroom Vroom code, but never listed as the "Visa" code, so don't worry, it wasn't obvious. ~~

That must be it. I'm looking for PHM weekend and the prices are still crazy high. Glad I'm locked in with the National Rate. Still frustrating that it's alomst 80 dollars more than what I paid last year for the same time period.

Got my National rate down today to $145. for Emerald Isle for 2/20 - 2/23 using the just released one weekend day free. Much better than my $180 for a compact.

I have been checking back every week and continue to get lower rates as we get closer to our trip the end of this month. I have about 6 reservations so far. Should I cancel them all except the last one? They are all with Thrifty as that is who is giving me the best rate on a minivan so far. I'm just afraid the price will go up once I "free up" 5 minivans with my cancelations??? Any advice about this?

Dumb question from a newbie: Is there a penalty for early return? Some of these prices would be far lower for longer periods than what I am paying for three days.

Has anyone ever used the "Puerto Rico Direct" contract ID (211220) with Alamo? I need three one day rentals and this is giving me the best rate. I have been unable to find what the requirements are for the contract ID.

I need a car from
1) MCO to FLL 2/27-2/28
2) FLL to Port Canaveral March 8-8
3) Port Canaveral to MCO March14-15

Using the Puerto Rico Direct ID and the double upgrade coupon, I am getting about $35USD for each of the three days.

Have you found out about the ID code? I just used it to price my rental and the price was really good. I would like to book with it but don't want to get caught with a code that I can't use.

Dollar and Thrifty rates for mini vans down tonight for rentals starting 17th. Budgets 12 pass. vans down also. Check carrentalsavers or their sites.
