February 2014

Thanks for the add, I'm excited about this trip, its all girls, none of the guy family members :)

An all girls"s trip sounds like a lot of fun. I a gained lots of laughter and lots of energy with the ages of the girls!

We've just never been to Whispering Canyon and it is right in the lodge where we're staying so we thought we should give it a try.

The Signatures we're doing in February include one new to us, California Grill. I've read some mixed reviews of it since reopening earlier this month but figure we've got to eat there at least once for the Wishes view alone. We're returning to our favorites of Flying Fish Cafe and Jiko.

I am going to have to read up on Whispering Canyon. I had read about California Grill reopening and had thought that it would be a nice dining experience but we only have so much time at WDW and I am trying not to over schedule.

This will be my second trip with them; I skipped last year because my DH couldn't get off work and I would have had to get a room alone with my at the time 3 year old who likes to unlock doors.

Oof! I had one of those clever 3 yr olds...they can be quite a handful, can't they! ;)

You can add us to the list. :goodvibes Now that our kids are both through with college, we're not tied to academic schedules anymore - whew! Hoping the last week of February will provide low crowds with decent weather. We're not booked yet (waiting for special promotion), but depending on RO discounts, we'll either be at the CR for the first time, or else the lovely POR.

So will the kids be coming with you as well? oh...and Welcome! :)

Hello everyone!
Just found out we have enough money to do a trip in February instead of waiting another year. So excited! We're going February 22 - March 2 :)

My fiance and I are planning on going 2/8-2/15. We plan on getting married and starting a family next year so It will be our last big vacation for a few years at least.

Posting to add myself.

Dh, myself and the three girls will be there Feb 22-March 1staying at POR. We're super excited. :)

Step! Great to have you aboard! :yay: A trip you weren't expecting is great! Where do you think you will be staying? Is this an all adults trip, a family trip or even an extended family trip?

Heathermgc :bride: It will be a nice time for the two of you to have some fun. Let me know where you will be staying and I will add it to the list. Have you set a date yet for your wedding?

3Gsandme - :dance3:Hi and Welcome! I used the dancing faces since it sounds like your trip will be filled with lots of energy! How old are the girls going with you? Have they been before? Where do you think you will eat?

When I added you to the list on page 1, I noticed that you are going on the same week and will be staying at POR the same time esmee1sttip will be going. :thumbsup2

And Step who just joined will be going the same week as well! Cool!

:dance3:Thanks to a Diser posting on the February Discounts and Codes thread, I got the Disney Visa discount today! It just opened today and is not even even posted on Disney's website and it is not on the Disney Visa site so I would never had tried today to get it except i heard it from someone on the Dis!

You have to ask for it specifically because the reps cannot tell you about it. SO make sure you ask for it!

I got the S/P/D offer at POR French Quarter! :tink:And I will be there President's Day weekend! WOW! WOO! HOO! :cool1:

Thanks again to those Disers who posted the deal today! I saved over 400.00 dollars!

Call today and get your discount! popcorn::IF you don't have a Disney Visa card, I think this is a great sign that a discount for the general public will follow, probably next week. pixiedust:

I got 35% off at WL! :cool1:

Great! It is a very magical day today! :woohoo:

I expect I will be changing a lot of listings on the first page with many people upgrading to a different resort with the discounts.

Let them roll in! I am ready! Woo Hoo!:cool1:

And Dreams came true today! It's official POFQ Feb 1-8 can't wait.

Was truly thinking we would need to switch to POR for discounts. Shocked when not only did we get FQ we were able to keep our standard room.

Can you please add us to the list? We booked a few weeks ago for our first ever family trip. I was at Disney when I was 4, but Dh and the kids have never been.

We'll be at POR in a preferred, staying Feb 3-10. I'm hoping to apply the SPD discount in a few days :) We were planning to pay OOP for meals, but I can't turn down SPD if we can get it.

My kids will be just a few days shy of 10, 7, and almost 4 when we travel.

We were originally looking at December, but I think our total with free dining was the same as room prices were higher in mid Dec vs. Feb. We decided to push back to Feb and do a scavenger hunt for the kids as part of their Christmas present. However, I will miss seeing all of those beautiful decorations.

The weather in Feb makes me a smidge nervous. A friend who is a frequent disney-goer had one trip in Feb where it was in the 40s for most of the week. That would not be ideal! Crossing fingers it will be a mix of warmer and cooler, or better yet...just plain warmer ;)

We set up some ADRs before we even officially booked, as this was kind of last minute for us, and I was worried about what would be available. I keep tweaking them :) We booked the Wishes Dessert Party at TT for Feb 4th yesterday, thanks to the great heads up from the Disboards.

Welcome to our thread! :dance3:How exciting your first family trip! Your kids are at great ages for their first time! :cool1:

My biggest tip for you is to take advantage of the early hour entry into the parks for resort guests. That one hour will really make a difference in Magic Kingdom's Fantasyland! I was amazed at how much we were able to do in that one hour before the rest of the public started making their way into Fantasyland. And with your kids' ages, Fantasyland will be a huge draw!

So, what ADRs do you have planned?

We just came home a few days ago from a wonderful 10 day stay at WL CL. My husband asked me to look into a few days in February (we are still going in Sept 2014). So this morning I called and booked a 4 night stay at WL CL again. I am so excited but dont want to get to excited as we arent 100% sure we are going to be able as we are talking about going somewhere else too. But at least I can start planning something.

We will be going the 13-17. It will be for our 20th wedding anniversary. It will be myself, DH and dd (9).

Please add us to February 2014
We booked at POR preferred for Feb 3-10. Our first time at POR. It will be me, dh, and 5 year old grandson(oops will be 6 then!) booked the Disney Visa deal. My app for Days to Go says 121 days!!!
