Subscribing. Looking to go Mardi Gras weekend also. Kinda bummed the kids aren't out for Wednesday next year also, but we decided we would let them miss school the Friday before instead. Last time we went during Mardi Gras it was awesome. No lines for anything. I remember riding Test Track and the CMs just told us we could stay on the ride because nobody was in line because 1. the fireworks were starting soon and 2. The Super Bowl was taking place. This year the Super Bowl is the week before Mardi Gras in New Orleans of all places. I expect plenty of New Orleans people getting out of there for those two weeks. Unless of course, the Saints are playing.

Our school system changed the Mardi Gras schedule this year, to my advantage. For the last 8 years, my kids have only had off Monday through Wednesday. This year they have off Monday through Friday of Mardi Gras week. Both of my kids said that more than half of the kids in their classes were gone. I think the system finally figured out that people are going to leave/take vacation that week, so they gave in. That is unless there is a hurricane evacuation ... I think evacuation make-up days include part of that week.

We are also going for Mardi Gras week our school is out the entire week and we are checking that on Saturday 2/9/2012...I am wating no so patiently for Disney to announce Free Dining or room discounts for that time since we change to peak season starting 2/14/2012!!:

I wouldn't be surprised if we hear about a discount before the end of the month. Patiently waiting to save some cash.

Thanks from me as well. I've been going to WDW since I was a boy. Now as a father of a family of 4 watching the budget matters. I've always known and preferred off peak season but only ever knew general times. Your help with specific events has been invaluable.

It would be so cool if this were to take place while we are there! Do you know how many days after the game the parade actually takes place? We will be checking in Feb. 6th, Wednesday after the game.

The parade is the very next day.
I was there last year..... didn't expect it...just happen to be at MK that day.

We got a pinned offer last year for February 2012 and we are hoping for something similar this year. We would rather have the percentage than the FD. Hoping it comes soon. Just got a pin today for through December 2012 so 2013 offers have to be getting close!!

And I'm rooting for Matt Stafford for Superbowl MVP!! Go Lions!!
