Can you swim in February or is it too cold?

Swimming in February totally depends. I've been there when it was 80, two weeks after I was wearing mittens at the parks at night. You never know.

We never go in Feb without our fleece jackets and gloves. And what ever we have scheduled we carefully watch the weather forcast and which ever day is forcasted to be the warmest is the day we do BB or TL or a pool day at our resort.

One trip it was clear the only 80 degree day would be our first so we chucked our plans and went to BB. Good thing we did because the weather cooled off and we wouldn't have done a waterpark any other day that week. So be flexible.

Well, at least they are predicting an El Nino winter so it may be more mild than non El Nino year!

Of course I can't decide if I should be happy it will be possibly warmer or brace myself for all the incorrect Global Warming talk.. lol!

Coming from CT, it is definitely not too cold! I make sure I get in the pool at least once when I go over winter, but admittedly it can be chilly in February.

We are going 2/5 to 2/9. Haven't booked yet. Looking at ASMu in a suite. If they do 4 for 3 are suites included?

Yes, they were included last year.

We're looking at Feb 5-12 ONLY IF the 4/3 deal comes out. We just got back from an August trip, and originally thought we'd wait until March, but those peak prices - We're used to going value so I can't justify an extra $1,000 to go a month later.

Love the ASMu suite - stayed there last January and will do so again in February if we can.

EDIT - decided to go deluxe. We're booked in a Boardwalk 1BR Villa.

When the deals are released, they'll have a code. You call reservations and tell them you want to apply the code to your existing reservation. Assuming that code is available for your dates and hotel (there'll be a limited number of deals at that rate), they'll give you your new total and e-mail you a new invoice.

Yep - that's why you have to read these boards EVERY DAY! You usually know the code is coming out the day before at the very least, so you can be on the phone at 7 the next morning.

WIth four months yet until our vacation...I need some code rumors people!!! There was some talk on the Jan thread that some people saw a 4/3 banner on the Disney website. Seemed like it was up by accident??? Also heard the "4/3 but more complicated this year" rumor. Not sure how you can complicate that.

too... it is gonna be a loonnngggg month because I think the very earliest we will hear is after free dining window ends on Sept 26.. but just to torture us they will probably just extend that window and make us wait..

The 4/3 deal came out the first week of November, so in the back of my mind, I've been telling myself to stay patient until November.

(so far, that's not working for me!! )

My stomach is in knots every day and I gotta wait till maybe November?!?

We are being responsible and possibly not going if we don't get a good discount, so that is gonna kill me waiting that long to know!

Sounds like it will be November before we hear of any promotions and we need to book dining on October 27th.... (with the rest of the world) BUT so many things will be decided if there is no promo!

With the 4/3 we will want deluxe.... but I have to book the ADR's October 27 and with no good promo that will change our ADR's big time- I think to the regular dining plan!!

Also where we stay- We want and have a deposit on Contemporary but with no promo that will not happen and we will want to get CBR.

It stinks that we basically plan our entire trip all year on hope that a good promo is going to be released and then 8 weeks before the trip if nothing good is released I need to change all my plans!!! UGH!

My first day is actually Jan 31, but since the bulk is Feb.. My dates are Jan 31 - Feb 8th.

If there is no 4/3 deal...I'm booked at POR.
If there IS a 4/3 deal I'm moving to the Wilderness Lodge!

My dates start 1/31, too. We're there until the following Sat - 2/6. I've booked flights...now we wait. Since my son is 10 now, I'm hoping for free dining. Saves me more money than the 4/3. We're at Pop no matter what - no deal would make me considering upgrading, so free hotel nights aren't worth that much to me.

I will hope right along with you! I have the same dates.. but I havent seen free dining that time of year offered.. We can always hope though!

Free dining deal ends on Saturday (date you have to book by). Hopefully a Jan/Feb special won't be long now!!! I can't believe in this age of computers and information that nothing has leaked yet!
