February 2010

Is the train much cheaper? I haven't booked my airfare yet but from Long Island, New York the cheapest I have found is $399 into Tampa (I have a family function on 2/14). I guess I really have to decide and book Disney. Does it actually sell out or do they run out of discounts? I will only be there Monday - Thursday.

The fares can go up as you get closer to the date. We only take the autotrain. It leaves out of Virginia and arrives about an hour outside of Orlando. You put your car on the train so no need to rent one. We are going in coach which means you sleep in your seat and don't have a bed. You have to be at the station by around 1pm to leave and as long as the train is on time you arrive in Orlando before lunch the next day. Compared to flying it is still time consuming but I got the 4 of us and our car r/t for $750. With flying being so outrageous my presidents week dates this really works out for us even though it adds 2 extra days of travel time.

I just read Crystal Palace will be closed January (?)- February 13th.... We will not be able to go and my son had his heart set on it for his Birthday meal. BUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:headache: Not to mention that is our place for getting in MK before it opens... I am so sad!!!!!!!!

There is always CRT... my DS is 16 and he loves eating in the castle... he loves the stuffed french toast....I actually made it the other day.... it was so yummy!!!

Anyone else book 4/3 for Feb? I booked Feb 15-22 at PO Riverside standard view with Quickservice and 7 day base tickets. For 1 adult and 2 children my total was $1920. It's not as good as last year, no gift certificate but it may be the best I'm going to get. I so wish we weren't traveling during peak season, we've never paid these prices! Oh well I guess it's better than taking the kids out of school for a whole week. Again! It was only $150 more to book a mod than a value so even though we like POP a lot we're trying PO Riverside.

February break at Disney YAY!:cloud9:

I did! I booked WL std 5 nights 2 adults, 2 teens with PH, no ins., no dining for $2264.64. We can only stay 5 nights (kids will only miss 2 days of school this way), so I'm kinda hoping for a room only discount... this one only saves us 11%...not complaining, mind you! It's better than rack rate, just not as good as free dining would have been, or a deeper room discount. But we are going to Disney!!!:woohoo:

I booked the new deal today for Feb. 21 -28. 1 bedroom at Bay Lake Towers for 2 adults, 2 kids over 10 and a 4 year old with hopper, no water parks or dining. I had to go with the Bay Lake view because there weren't any standard views available for this deal. $4274.09 is much better than the $6264. for the standard view I had originally booked!

We changed our room only ressie for Feb 3-10. We originally were booked for CSR, but now we are booked for AKL Savannah room!:cool1: 3 adults and 1 child (4years) 7 day MYW no hoppers no insurance, no meal--$2519.77. Not bad I guess! This is our first time, so I am thrilled that we got a deal!

I changed my ressie to day to Feb 20-28. We had been going the week of Feb 13-21, but DH works schedule changed. We are 2 adults 2 kids standard room at POP, 8 day MYW with park hopper option, reg dining, no insurance. It was originally over 3500, but got it down to 3006 with the 5/2 deal. Then when I called today and switched the dates, it went down to 2985. I love to save and will take what I can get, but still have fingers crossed for free dining or a really deep room discount....

We are all booked for POFQ 2/14-2/20 with quick service and 7 day tickets. A little over $2000 I believe was the final total. Can't wait to go back!

We rebooked yesterday and went from Pop to CBR with a pirate room for my boys. We will be there Jan 31- Feb 7. The trip is a Christmas gift but the pirate room will be the surprise once we get there! i cannot wait.

We just changed our reservations yesterday to get the 4 for 7 deal. Bay Lake was not available during our stay so we went with Kidani Village. Now we will be there Feb 13 - 20th in a 1 bedroom.

Finally booked our first trip. Staying at the CSR from Feb. 6-13th. I don't know how I'm gonna stand myself for the next 4 months! :cool1:

We are going to WL Jan 31 to Feb 5!!!! We are two adults, 1 jr, 1 child, with QSDP and Woods View (cheapest available) for 3141.00! We might have been able to do better dining wise on our own, but it will be nice to pay it ahead..
