Should we make a February 2008 thread that is not about codes any more. I figure after Christmas and holidays, we will be "talking" more often!! Or maybe too busy starting to pack!!! I , for one, am looking forward to taking down my Chrsitmas decor b/c that means I can actually take down our suitcases and start the packing!!! I pack for like 2 weeks or more for vacations!! I wash and don't want the kids to wear it so we don't have to re-wash days before going . I know you do this tooooooo, come'on, I know you do!

I know!!! I got a little planning/welcome back thing today too! I snatched out of my husband's hand before he even realized what it was. He said, "What do you have - Disney radar?" Yeah, I do!

Ok, I was hoping I wasn't the only one, but I took the suitcases out last month and started adding things I pick up at the stores here and there.

So, how cool is my family, yesterday for my birthday, besides suprising the hell out of me with a dinner, they gave me Disneyland Passporters, for me and the kids.. So I am up at the crack of dawn today and heading down right now!!

Hey Everyone!!! How are you guys doing?? All here is good, boy I wish Christmas would just hurry up.................. LOL

I've been so busy ~ I have not yet managed to burn the house down with the baking though.......... so, that 's a plus!!!

I don't have my suitcase out just yet, but I do have BAGS upon BAGS of stuff in my closet - you might find a family living in there if you looked hard enough..........

It is really cold here today........... brrrrr I hope we all have nice weather for our trips!!

I already started packing, too: ponchos, pop-up laundry basket, sunscreen,...
Next week we'll pull out bathing suits, shorts and short sleeve tops. Have to wait a bit for the heavier clothes, though .

It was 29degrees here last night!!! It is 31degrees now and it is 9am. Finally some cold days....last week I had to break out my capri pants again. Which sucked because I had to shave...AGAIN!!!! LOL

Hi, all. Can't wait for this trip. Like Lori celebrating her DD's leukemia-free 5 year mark, we too are celebrating Rees' health and recovery. I think it is just wha t we all need!

YAY!!!! I am happy Rees is doing better and cannot wait to celebrate with you!

BTW- here is the way it seems to work with leukemia(ALL in kids):
She has been in "remission" for a little over 7 years(since 10/14/00) b/c they did not SEE any cancer cells under thier microscope in the tiny little drop of marrow they took from her. BUT they continue to treat for another 2.5 years b/c they KNOW there are some left in her body and if we stopped treatment it would be inevitable that she would have it again. SO after 2.5 years of chemo and many many bone marrow aspirates and spinal taps(with chemo) that come out clear, they say "okay, you're done"-"see ya!" and then you go from every week or more to once a month-then after a few years every other month, and so on-after 5 years of not having chemo and having no recurrence of cancer- your are "supposedly" considered "cured" and have as much a chance of getting it as any other kid(not so sure of that one). BUT they will never tell you this b/c of the lawsuit induced world we live in-if they told me she is "cured" and then it recurs, I guess they fear a lawsuit-crazy! Protocols call it EFS(even free survival) and say if you are 5 years since chemo, you can call yourself cured. Whatever.

Well, that was the unwarranted, unwanted lesson in childhood ALL(acute lymphocytic leukemia) that I gave you!

She is HEALED, I like that word better anyway!!! It is more permanent.
