That's funny! For me, it's DH I can't get up in the morning. The kids get up but drag along so I end up getting up twice as early to get myself and the kids ready. DH is a night owl and not an early bird. I have given him the "talk." We're going to try the TGM plan so that my 2 (will be 3) year old can get in a nap. I love DW at night so I would hate to have to leave early cuz kids are cranky!

I am one of those for whom the code did not work out! Only standard view at AKL available. I think we will just keep what we have, we have budgeted for no codes anyway. Of course the additional money would have been great, but I don't want to sit on my balcony overlooking a parking lot!

And this February 5 PPP totally confused my schedule. I think the easiest way to get it work again might be to actually attend the party...

my great travel agent managed to find a cast member who performed some Disney magic when she was calling to rebook our stay to a standard view (we finally decided that with the noticeable price difference it just would make so much more sense to give up the view and hope for the best) and now I got the discount for a pool view room!!! For us it really makes a difference as we plan on going to the Adventurers Club and Typhoon Lagoon, so we had the Hopper and Water Park options already.

Since I am not from the US (and don't have a car anyway) AAA discounts aren't possible for me, but they seem a good thing to get!

And finally to answer your question we will be staying January 29 to February 7. It seems that availability at AKL is really getting very low starting February 6 and has been since August (when I first started looking at dates for this trip). I wonder whether some conference blocked lots of rooms? We will really have to look out for each other at the lodge!

I am looking for 3 nites at the end of our vacation 2/22-25 (we will be using DVC points for the first 7 nites) I was hoping to surprise my DS and stay at the Poly for our last three nites,and a discounted price would be VERY helpful!! I was sooooo happy to see that it was the night of the party. We opted not to get park tickets and just P&PP tickets since our flight comes in the afternoon. I hear they will let you in early....here is to hoping!

Is there a thread for the DISers attending? I would love to meet up with some of you guys!

Since you are going from value season to peak season I would suggest you book a split reservation now. Book the part that is currently in value season 2/11-13 to get that savings, then when the next range of discounts come out (if there are any considering it's Prez weekend and will probably be blacked out), then book whatever part of that trip on a second reservation. When you check in tell the CM you have a "continuing" reservation and they will do everything possible to keep you in the same room. This sounds complicated and when they changed the way the room prices are broken down, we knew there would be problems like this. Please be aware that the first part of your trip might be the only discounted part since you are traveling around the holiday, so I would grab whatever discount is out there now, as you may not see any other discounts until after the holiday weekend. post back to let us know what you did.

I considered doing that but we're pretty set on the resort and both POFQ and POR are completely sold out! The ONLY mod available is CBR. I do have the AAA rate which priced out at 1006.00 for a standard view.

The AP rate for the stay priced out at $17 more. What I wanted to do was apply the AP rate for the first 3 nights and kep my AAA rate for the last 3. The CM said I could not do that. If I applied the AP rate I would have to pay rack for the last 3 nights. Does this sound right to you? TIA

We will be there 2/2 for the P&P party also. Maybe someone who is good at keeping track can make a 2/2/08 P&P Party thread and we can plan a mini meet?
We also arrive in afternoon and just got the P&P tickets. I Figure we will arrive about 3 or 4pm and get to MK by about 6, not as early as recommended by TGM but the P&P party is just a kick off for us. Im not expecting to hit all the rides. We want to just walk around dressed up and soak in the atmosphere! Meet the characters and collect pirate booty for the kids. I think we will do like Tom Sawyers Island and stuff like that rather then BTMRR or other "line rides"

We just changed our resort: CS was not abailable with the code. I actually switched to a value, just to save a bit more! This is what I got:

We just changed our resort from Poly to the GF. We also changed our view from MK (Poly) to Garden (GF) with the promo and saved $782. I know we got most of our saving from changing our view at the resort. We've never stayed at the GF, DH has always wanted to. I sure the Garden view is beautiful, I can't wait to go Feb 3-8.

I assume no dining or insurance??

I can tell you that I priced the moderates in every possible configuration (AAA etc) and could not find a better value than the package code so I'm stickin' with that!
