I hope you had a great Christmas too! We finally told the kids about the cruise! They were totally surprised and super excited! What a great Christmas! Hope everyone is doing great! It looks like the east coast is going to get slammed with a major snowstorm tomorrow...I am so glad to have this cruise to look forward to!

Now that Christmas is over so looking forward to February!!!!!! DH actually bought me a few things for the cruise - does anyone know what happened to my real husband?

Hey everyone! Is it to late to jump in here, say hi and get to know a few people? I started reading the thread a few months back, but then many computer problems later I just never got back until now. I even signed up for the FE months back, but then realized I had no idea what it was, so I took our names off the list a few days later.

Anyway, I just thought I'd drop in again and read all of the wonderful information everyone has been sharing. I had to start taking notes.

This will be our 2nd Disney cruise. We were on the Wonder back in Nov 2006.

So, I got in a car accident this morning, don't really know what happened, but other then me no one was hurt so that's good. I just have a fat lip and was a little shaken up, but other then that all is well. So now I'm dying for this trip to come

We are really enjoying our Christmas Break but can't wait for February Break!


I am going to try to spend some more time on here so I can get to know everyone before we get on board.

I know I had asked a LONG time ago if anyone had kids interested in being "email" pals before the cruise and then I was away from the Boards for what seemed like forever! Sorry! Things just got crazy here but if there is anyone that has kids interested in emailing either my DS (11) or my DD (8) to get to know each other before the cruise, send me a PM and I will definitely have them reply My son has his own email but my daughter will be using mine.

Hi Everyone...

Those who have cruised before porbably have had "Names" for their DIS groups before so I was wondering if we have one for our group yet?? Some FE gifts that I have gotten on past cruises also use the name on gift ideas, etc. I have been spending some time on the boards today and there is a name for a group that was used back in 2005 that may be good for ours.

The Disney DREAMers or maybe the DCL DayDREAMers or something like that.

Just a thought to get the creativity flowing or if I have missed it somewhere on our thread - please let me know what we are using as I want to add it to my FE gifts

Wow!! Glad you are OK. I hope when you wake up tomorrow morning you don't have any 'post accident' aches and pains!

I can't belive it is almost January which means our cruise is the next month!!!!

I have a family party to go to tomorrow and then after we disassemble the house from all the Christmas stuff, I'll finally be able to spend more time on cruise prep!

As for group name- I'm so not creative but I like the idea of a name and it helps to have had somebody start the brainstorming...how about 'Presidential Cruisers' (since we are going over Pres Day) although it sounds kind of stuffy. Or how about 'Winter DREAMin' or 'DREAMin' Cruisers'...ok, I'll stop...anybody else?

I am so sorry to hear about the car accident. We know about being shaken up over here. To this day, DD still gets nervous when we go through the same intersection. We are thinking about you.
FE. We will go with the group. We were going to make the FE but still have not good thing we still have time. Anyone know the size? We also have no idea what to put in them. for the FE it can be any size really and you can put anything in them pretty much. I think we are going to ship things down before the cruise don't know for sure, only thing we wouldn't mail is the candy

I personally like "DayDREAMers" for a name! Too cute - play on words!

We received our final confirmation for our VR ceremony on the Dream. Looks like it may be held on deck 14 midship which I believe is the Outlook Lounge - but I'm still hoping there may be an outdoor location. I am very disappointed if it is inside... I could have an indoor ceremony here at home...
Waiting for an email back from the wedding planner to clarify... She is pretty bad at getting back to you.

Can't wait for our cruise! The kids are so excited. I am hoping to pack our FE items in our luggage. We are driving down from Massachusetts. If I don't have enough room, I will ship them. This will be our first time participating in the FE exchange. I already ordered & received our FE. I want to get one for my parents as well. Next, I have to start making MAGNETS!!!

FE exchange is for everyone, not just kids. You get small gifts for each stateroom, but there are different ways to do that and here are some examples

-you can get one gift per stateroom. Like on one cruise that was in December someone made a christmas wreath for each cabin

-you can give kids a different gift then you give adults

really it's up too you how you want to do it. I usually try to give a small gift for adults and small gift for kids then a gift for the whole family
