February 18, 2006 Magic - Who's Onboard? Roll Call post #156

maybe we should move to the hyatt so we can start the cruise off with a pre cruise drink or something ...

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Or we could meet onboard! A DIS-meet!!

that would be great ... this will be our second cruise with DCL and our first 7 day would be nice to sit and shoot the breez for a bit with DISer's. Let me know if something is set up.

We're staying at WDW for a couple of nights before the cruise, wherever I can get the best price. It's a little  because it goes from Value to Regular season Thursday so in some cases it's cheaper to book from Wed even if you're not coming in until Thursday. :scratchin

LOL, you might not be :goodvibes when you see my bill. :teeth: :rotfl:

So what do you all think about the changes that DCL plans to make to the Magic in drydock? The movies screen sounds cool!

I still have not seen a complete list of what they are doing ... I hope we have somewhat warm weather in Feb... a movie on the deck would be nice ... although I like sleeping in the theater .. but its easier to snore outside :)

Triggs, I posted a link to the thread that discussed some of the changes right above here. :sunny:

Hey Guys
njDISNEYnut back online, sorry for the gap, just did not have the time to get on the boards. Unfortunately we will be flying in and out on the DCL air package. Remember Feb is a rough time for me as an accoutant. We are going back on another DCL in July and will do a week in WDW prior to that trip.
In regard to a cruise meet, lets see if we can coordinate something on board. I have the WDW suite, so as long as the DW has no complaint, we can try to do something on a Sea day.

Jimmy

sounds good jimmy you could kill two birds with one stone if you want to have everyone meet at your place then move to one of the rooms on the 3rd deck we curious can have a look and then meet ....

Dave

Thanks for the link!!! I am looking forward to seeing the changes. The new spot for kids sounds great. I wonder if adults can play too.

Jimmy, that sounds great! I would love that!

I am putting together a list of cruisers and I'll post it here when its finished.

Hi Everyone!

This is our first Disney Cruise..me (DD), partner (DP), daughter 11yo (DD), and our daughter's Disney God Parents (DGD and DGM).

We are seasoned WDW travelers, but this is our first time on the cruise. And the closer we get, the more excited we become. The godparents have traveled on the Wonder in the past, and they truly loved it, so we are all really looking forward to going on the 7 day cruise.

We are flying down on Thursday evening after school, and will be staying at Port Orleans French Quarter, so if there is any meeting up in the park by fellow DIS'ers, please let me know.

Our only concern is that our daughter is nervous about going because she doesn't have any friends traveling with us. How many out there have kids around 11yo traveling on the ship?

Eric

This is our 2nd time on the Magic! We had a such a great time last year that we convinced friends of ours to come with us for another trip. They have 2 children and we have 2 children. 1 of my daughters and their 2 children will be in the 5 -7 age group. But, my daughter will be in the 10 - 12 age group. She was little nervous last year about joining the Oceaneer Lab by herself. But, the people that work in the children's area are marvelous. They give the kids lots of things to do. There were times that my husband and I went to pick them up and they didn't want to go.....

So, in other words, she will have a great time! And, my daughter will be in her group!

I am glad to hear that about the Oceaneers Lab.

Maybe we should get our 10-12 year olds writing to each other before they meet on the ship.

Yes, my daughter Samantha is interested in being a penpal to someone else that is going on our trip. She says she is not sure what to say but otherwise okay.

This will be our first cruise and we are very excited! :cool1: It will be DH, DD 7, my DSIL and me. I will keep reading up on all the great tips so that we do not commit any embarassing rookie mistakes! :rotfl:

welcome aboard and dont worry seems like no matter how many times you go you always find something new ... see you boarding day
