Did I say doubled fisted at 3 pm - I think I might ask one of my kids to hold a third one for me - I'll tell them it's good for me to keep hydrated!!!!

Our drive way has been plowwed (sp) twice and I didn't even know it!

How many "normal" hours does it take to get to Virginia where you'll get on the autotrain?

Luckily they had a cancellation where we stopped and we got a room, we are only 4 hours from the train station, so if the road open up again we will be fine. At least it is a nice hotel with a pool and the kids really enjoyed swimming, some day we will laugh about it.

I just talked to Sue and they are safe and sound in ORLANDO!!!! Hooray!!!

Christine -- Sue was asking about your situation. I updated her with what you posted. Is there any word on 81 South and how soon you'll be able to begin your trek farther southward? What time do you have to get to the autotrain tomorrow?

Let's channel all the pixie dust to Christine. Sue said pixie dust really does work and thanks everyone for sending it to help her out!

We have to be there by 1:00 or 2:00 p.m. I am hoping it is 2, If the roads are clear it is not a problem, otherwise who knows, we do have time to drive to Florida if we miss the train, honestly I have never driven in such bad condition, cars were off the road every miles, we were trying to stay calm for the kids, but it was not easy. I really hope everyone makes it without a problem, I really will be glad once we are out of Pennsylvania.

I haven't had the time to check in to see what was happening with everyone. I just read the last 4 pages and my anxiety level was getting up there. It was like an episode of 24 with Jack Bauer! We are leaving Friday morning (9:30 flight). One last day to work and finish packing up. Does anyone else feel the need to clean the house before vacationing? Just a little stressed out in Michigan....although we had a snow day yesterday which was a huge help

Well we started again at 5:30 a.m. this morning, drove for 20 minutes and all traffice stopped, now I am really ready to cry, we have no idea what is going on, and I can't find any news, thanks to laptop and cell phone I am actually surfing the web......It is so furstrating, it is actually fairly nice out, the roads are snow covered but not that bad, and it is clear.I am still hoping we make the train, but it is not looking good.

Sending you warm thoughts to destress your day. What is is what is . . . you can't change it. You started out early and hopefully things will work out and you'll get to the autotrain on time. In this type of weather, I would imagine there are no shortcuts off the Interstate system.

Most states have a Department of Transportation or State Police website that will list road closings. Try surfing those sites.

We had our coldest day today, 27*. I can't imagine how cold everyone else is.

Yes -- Sue is in Florida. She arrived mid-afternoon yesterday on the very last flight to leave Manchester. They shut down the airport after her plane took off. She said she was pretty nervous with the de-icing of the plane and her plane being the only one on the runway. I was thinking about those same things and knew I would have been nervous had it been me as well. Her story does have a happy ending! She is there in Orlando waiting for the rest of us.

To all: My door will have a dry erase board on it. Feel free to pass by to let me know you've made it if we don't see you at 3 PM at the Mickey Pool.

I'm almost all packed! My neighbor has had my kids for most of the day - playing in the snow with her kids (yes she is an Angel) I have a few things to pick up at target and we'll be out of here 9 am and sitting in the Albany Airport!

I can't wait to meet everyone!

YES, we are on the train, as I am typing, the train was actually late, so we did make it, the driving was absolutely awful, and Bill is a great driver and is used to driving in the snow, we are starting to get that good vacation feeling, I am now sending all of you pixie dust for safe travel, and I will see you at the Mickey pool. We just stated moving.......
