Lisa: Thanks for the sad update. I was going to the SWA site too, but you beat me to it. This am, after checking the closings, this is the first place I visited, hoping for good news for all the storm travelers.

Prayers, faith and pixie dust time.

we are leaving in a few minutes, it might take us all day but we will make it.......

I just checked some other flights out of Manchester, and the first flight that was supposed to leave at 7am is just marked "delayed," and Sue's original flight at 2 pm is showing as "on time." The later flights are also labeled "on time," I hope that means something positive.

I just talked to Sue. They are pulling up to the airport right now and will hunker (sp?) down there until they can get on a flight.

According to Southwest's flight info online, the earliest flight not showing delayed between Manchester and Orlando leaves at 4:05 and 4:10 but goes through Baltimore. The direct flight tonight shows on time. I just pray they can get on a flight today.

She'll call later if they get scheduled on flight.

Christine -- when are you leaving for the auto train? The news is showing horror stories on the Interstates throughout the area.

I checked the SWA site and it shows 5 seats available on the 1:40 flight if it goes as well as the 8 PM flight!

Pixie Dust!!!!

Thank you Lisa for the updates. I too was checking to see if everyone was able to make it out. I will keep my fingers crossed.( And I thought Packing was stressful.)

She's booked on a 10:30 flight 801!!!!!!

Let's keep our fingers crossed!!!!!

She said they only have about 4" on the ground. The flight is their original flight but using a plane that was there at the airport instead of the plane they were supposed to leave on that couldn't get in.

Lisa: Thanks for keeping us updated. I'm surprised at how stressed I am for Sue and Christine, and anyone else traveling, hoping everyone gets to their destination ok.

Debbie:

What day do you leave?

We're leaving Friday night by plane -- SWA 2054 out of New Orleans direct to MCO

Lisa

MA DVCer: Yep that's our flight too! We usually fly out of PVD since we're on that side of CT, but when SWA came out with the flights this was the one with room for the 3 of us!

My nightmare is that I drive to PVD on auto pilot. Don and Dan have both been warned to make sure I head to Hartford. Dan is our thin 18 year old, will probably be wearing an Element baseball cap and I'll have at least a WDW tote bag.

This is so bad, everyone here is hoping for a snow day, and I'm going to finish the packing.

We'll see you on the plane! We should be near the front of the plane since my wife is in a wheelchair. We are traveling with our son (age 10) and daughter (age 8).

Also Friday night. We're flying SWA Non-stop from Hartford (BDL) to MCO on flight 504. We leave at 6:55. We pricelined a hotel near MCO and are staying at the Marriott, driving to Canaveral the next am.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

It sounds like it will be one to remember for most. Hope everyone is safe, and arrives on time.

I 've come to the realization that I don't really care for snow.:headache:
The dumb snowfakes are huge and coming down fast. Please everyone be safe!

Great news! :cheer2:

Thanks Lisa

I just got off the phone with Southwest Airliness checking on Sue's flight.

The flight number was actually 8801 but it wasn't showing up anywhere. They called to the airport itself and was able to tell me that Sue is off the ground and in the air!!!!!

She is scheduled to land around 3 PM Central time this afternoon!!!

HOORAY!!!

Let's all celebrate!!!

  :woohoo: :woohoo:

Definitely dancing news -- :cool1:  party:

Thanks for the update Lisa!

We are stuck, we made it 2 hours south of us, it actually took over 4 hours, are stuck at a hilton inn that is completely booked, no rooms available, we are in the lobby with a dozen other people. 81 South is closed, and right now we can't move, we saw at least a dopzen accidents on the way down. Some day we will laugh about it.
I have to say that people at the Hilton Inn are great.
