Sue:

It was pretty cool -- while I was awake! We ate breakfast and then we went back to bed. Rodolpho didn't wake us up -- just let us sleep. We got up around 10:15 and walked around to crew members working busily preparing for the next cruise. You wouldn't believe how hard the work is for the stateroom hosts!

We peeked in 8600 --- cat 3 --- AWESOME!!! OMG!!!!

We returned to our stateroom around 12:30 and hung out there watching all the activity on the dock. We saw the IDS trucks and the loading of the boxes and gift baskets.

So far this week, we've had a fruit plate delivered to the room and robes with the Disney Fairytale Weddings logo embroidered on them.

Well we finally got home to BDL after midnight last night and home about 2:36 am give or take a minute! We flew out of TPA for the first time, had over an hour delay due to where plane was flying from, and watched lightening in the distance while in the air for a long time. It took over an hour to get our bags at BDL, as the carosel was full of bags from BWI that came on a later flight than their owners! We had to wait for the baggage folk to remove those bags to put the ones from our flight on! Dan moved about 15 bags, thinking it would speed things along. I'm sure going to try to stick to PVD in the future.

Dan's already been online and on cell phone talking to kids he met at the Stack. Both he and Don had a snow day today, and the College didn't cancel until late, and I didn't hear about it until I arrived here. I'm heading home as soon as I finish this post.

I want to do a Western, and since Dan is no longer Stack material after this year, I'm pretty sure we'll do a Royal Carribean cruise in a Voyager class vessel. When we cruised Hawaii this summer on the Pride of Hawaii (NCL) it was its inaugural summer and it was an amazing ship. Guess I'm ready for other new experiences.

I really enjoyed meeting you in ways other than the internet and too felt great running into people around the ship. One burning question for Sue -- did the boys get to see sea turtles?

Best wishes to all, and for Lisa, enjoy that vow renewal.

Kara didn't like the clubs either. I found they didn't have enough schedule activities for the 5-7 group, too much free time. I think they need to do more outdoor activities with them. She loved it when they went out to the sports deck.

We arrived back in Massachusetts Sunday afternoon. We visited Kennedy Space Center for the first time on Saturday after we left the ship. Wow, what a shock going to KSC and the lack of Disney service.

We woke up this morning to a two hour snow delay. Probably a good way for the kids to ease back into school reality but not a good way to be welcomed back to winter in MA.

We both thought our kids would have used the Oceaneer Clubs more often. Brandon thought they were too restrictive, you had to do whatever activity that was currently going on. He's not into art projects so if that was the activity he would get bored. Rebecca was too shy to get to warm up to anyone and make friends so she wasn't excited to go back to the kids club. They both had an awesome time however.

Sue, Brandon really enjoyed spending time with Chris. In fact one morning we set our phone for a 6:00 AM wake up call and Brandon leaped and fell out of bed trying to get to the phone thinking it was Chris calling him. :rotfl2:

I have a picture I took of Brandon, Chris, and Garret out on our verandah that I'll have to send you.

We are booked on Royal Carribbean's Liberty of the Seas for next April's school vacation. We'll have to compare ships and decide which to choose if we want to cruise after 2008.

Hey everyone!! I'm glad to see everyone had a great cruise. I enjoyed meeting some of you at the meet. We had to check out sort of abruptly cause Madison told me she had to use the potty and hadn't gone all day so that constitutes an emergency in our family!

We rebooked for the 9/1/08 cruise and got a cat 2!! Of course, no 10% discount, but at least we got the room and the on board credit.

Madison hated the Club, at least alone, so she failed the observation test. She cried like heck, but I told them they should reconsider how they do the test cause they had me take her in, stay for part of the activity, then go hide, so she just turned around and I was gone. Talk about a shock to a 2yo. She would have been okay if I could have told her I was leaving, but that did her in for the cruise and she refused to stay there alone after that. She loved Flounder's though and we had to take Henry there anyway so it worked out well to have them together. The Flounder's CMs told us Madison loved entertaining him so I guess it was better that way.

Lisa - I can't believe that happened to Courtney. I hope she's okay now. And your granddaughter too!

My son is letting me know he's ready to get out of the exersaucer so time to go.

OH --- Courtney had a seizure in the emergency room of the hospital yesterday.
Lisa

Lisa, I am so sorry to hear about Courtney, how lucky that she was in the ER when it happened, and that her sister was there. I am hoping that somehow it was just due to stress or cruising...
How is your granddaughter?

I do agree that no one can top Space ship earth, and I will never go on that ride without thinking about that couple.
I do hope that your weather gets better, let us know all about the wedding renewal.
What excursions are you doing?

My girls never really used the club either, they just did not like to be restricted for activities either, and I can't blame them, they did really enjoy Ocena Quest and whished they could have spend more time there.

It is snowing here, and it is tough to get used to being back at work, we did not get home until 6:00 p.m. last night, so we have no food, and no fresh fruit, I thought my kids were going to cry eating their cereal this morning.

Hi everyone. Thanks to everyone we meet. We had a wonderful time...
We booked another one while on board too.... We are planning to do the western in 02/09 as well. That would be great, if we are on the same ship again...:rotfl2:

Saturday was a long day for us. We didn't get home until 1 am MST. Couple that with the 6 am custom's call on the ship. We were barely functioning yesterday. Still haven't finished all our laundry...

It is snowing today, it is hard to be back at work again...

Lisa, I hope Courtney is ok? I was wondering how she made out getting home. We had a 6:30am breakfast and were off the ship before 8 am. Hope it warms up for you...

Sue, the boys had a great time as well. Jason, cann't stop talking about the sand castle or I mean sand boat they made at Castaway Cay....

Chris (and Mikey) did the same thing any time the phone would ring. It was really funny. I guess Brandon and Chris have continued e-mailing. Chris was so jealous you guys had a delay this AM.

Got it, Thanks-I'll be sending some to you as well.

I wish I hadn't let Chris see this post. He's now determined to get on that ship too:rotfl:

Last night was Match Your Mate and I know you would all agree with me that no couple could top last week's "Spaceship Earth" couple! Trent kept saying to the three couples . . . . "in 5 days you'll never see these people again!" and I kept thinking about how unhappy that poor guy from last week looked all week after his introduction to the rest of the cruisers in MYM!
Spaceship Earth will just never be the same again! :rotfl2: And I just adored the older couple--remember the husband's long winded answers? too cute!

It just wasn't the same walking into Rockin Bar D last night and none of you were there to sit with.
Missing you guys tremendously!
miss you all too..It was so nice to bump into people we felt we knew. It made the trip so much more personal.

OH --- Courtney had a seizure in the emergency room of the hospital yesterday.
OMG!! I hope she and your granddaughter are OK. Please keep us posted!

Mikey would be thrilled if you guys were on the same trip--DJ would too.
If you have any good pictures of the boys with the sand boat, could you please forward me a copy? I took 1, but it isn't that great. Maybe we could send 1 to DCL--talk about a great picture for a brochure!! Mikey keeps talking about how much fun he had building it with Jason and Bob(?), as well as how much fun he had with Jason in general.

Getting back to reality stinks. I had planned to get all unpacked, but our furnace wasn't working, so I spent a lot of time with the plumber figuring it out--to a nice fat bill, of course. Chris' MP3 player wasn't working, and after 3 hour on line, I called--30 minutes later I was told to send it to be checked out and repaired (uggh).

The biggest bummer is cooking and cleaning. I actually enjoy cooking, but I was so thoroughly spoiled last week. I think I was born to be served;)

I hope everyone is adjusting to reality!
Lisa-it will be really hard for you:rolleyes1

Take care all, must go back to :laundy:

I agree, Brandon really enjoyed dodgeball and probably would have enjoyed the kids club more if there were more outdoor sports-type activities.

I am really going to miss chatting with you folks on a regular basis. Lisa, any more word on Courtney? Our oldest son had a seizure disorder he's outgrown, but it was scary when he was younger.

Sue still awaiting word of sea turtle sightings!

Did anyone run into Debbie (Bride2007), I wondered how her wedding went. Boy, sounds like we missed out on a funny Match your mate show. I remember one cruise we were on and they played a game like the Newlywed game and one question was where is the most unusual place you and your partner have ever made whoopie? The honeymoon couple said "...in the limo, on the way to the port..." Yuck!

Switch the answer to "Spaceship Earth" ...!!:rotfl2:

My DS has febrile seizures until he was 4 years old-very scary. Lisa, be sure to update us on Courtney!

Debbie-Yes! We saw turtles. :) It was so cool. The guide told us they pretty much stay on the bottom eating turtle grass for about 15 minutes, then come up for a breath or two. Mikey Chris and I were watching a big one eat, and were fortunate to see him come up right next to us to breath. I hope the pictures came out! We also saw some others eating and swimming about. The two older boys free dove down near them so we could take pictures. There were also fish, barracuda (yikes-scary fish!) and stingrays. And the speedboat ride to the site was so fun--about 40 MPH on the waves.

We had a wonderful time in WDW with the kids, family and extended family. The wedding was short and sweet and if I could figure out how to post pictures I would. What I loved most about the wedding was that everybody listened to me about what & what colors I wanted them to wear and we all looked sharp in our red, white and black. We had our reception dinner at the "Blue Zoo" at the Dolphin Resort and the food and service were awsome. We had a private room and all I had to do was take the decorations to them, they set it all up and it looked beautiful. After dinner we wanted to go to "Jelly Rolls" & the Dance Hall at the Boardwalk, but by the time dinner was over it was 11:30 and we were all exhausted as well as a little tipsy.

We missed the dis-meet due to a late night taking care of a drunk child. We needed a nap badly. From what I am hearing, there were several of us in the same place on several occasions. I loved the Match Your Mate game. It was funny but the couple who made "whoopie" on Spaceship Earth didn't even seem to like each other. Maybe there is only one thing keeping them together and we know what that is!

We have rebooked for 12/27/08 New Years Eve, Western cruise. I hope the weather will be good. We reserved stateroom 5024 which is the partialy obstructed window for an inside cabin rate. We are taking my Stepson who will be 17 and I'm hoping I can talk my boys into booking as well.

Your wedding sounds like it was just beautiful, I am so sorry that we did not get to meet. We kept running in the spaceship earth couple everywhere we went, it was just too funny, and I agree that they did not seem that crazy about each other, or crazy enough to do such a thing....

...they probably rehearsed their answers to "probable" questions, LOL.
I bet there are a lot of cameras in Spaceship Earth!!

We saw them all over the ship too--Dave always picked them out. All he had to say was "spaceship Earth" and I knew exactly what he was talking about.

We also saw the honeymoon couple from MYM all around. The didn't seem to be typical honeymooners--not too happy. I guess he tried too hard to plan out every minute. (Remember that comment? LOL!!)

Debbie-I'd love to see some photos! Glad to hear your wedding was enjoyable!

Speaking of weddings...is Lisa's renewal today? or Thursday?

Hey guys!

Courtney went to the doctor yesterday and he didn't find anything obvious wrong after blood tests so my mind is at ease until I get back on Saturday.

Our vow renewal is Thursday.

Today was GLORIOUS and the tendering in Grand Cayman was easy as pie!

We did a private waverunner excursion where we took waverunners to stingray city and then to rum point. It was AWESOME. I really think it was the best excursion we've done. $90 per person if you were on your own jetski and we were gone for 2 1/2 hours. It was choppy and that made it even more fun.

Missing all of you.

I'll check the entire thread when we get home.

Lisa
