Lisa-I should have that list to you by the end of today. :goodvibes I'm not working, kids are at school and not at work, karate or on the baseball field. This weekend was exhausting! (Good luck Wednesday, I'll be thinking of you!)

We aren't sure yet about excursions, but are starting to think about them. $$ will be tight because we have to replace our ceptic system (uggh), but I think we will definitely plan at least one snorkel one. My DS 15 wants to SCUBA so badly, but won't be able to because neither my DH nor myself are certified, and he is not 18. He's so upset because he is fully certified and has plenty of experience, but DCL won't allow under 18 on excursions alone, and I just can't pay full price for me to sit on the boat!

I am definitely up for a mini meet at the Residence Inn. I don't know what time we will get there though. We are going to Universal, and staying at the HRH on the 14th and 15th. We'll stay at the park 'till closing (not sure of time yet), then head down to the hotel. We may want to start thinking bout a few meets on the cruise as well. :woohoo:

I am paying off my $52.00 balance this Thursday!! It's actually higher, but I am using a boatload of Disney Reward Dollars. I can't wait to see the $0 balance!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

If everyone could send me your e-mail adress, it would be easier to send the list out, than to PM everyone individually. If you would rather I PM you, just let me know. Thanks!

I just found this thread since we just booked our cruise yesterday! Wow, it looks like some of you booked about a year ago-I feel so behind! Anyway, we have only been on one Disney cruise, a 4 night for our honeymoon in 6/04. So we're looking forward to going back in February!

Off to read through this thread!

Lisa-
Good luck tomorrow!! Here's some pixiedust: for you!
Just think, in only 4 months, where will we all be?? :cool1: party:

Seriously, though--here's to a speedy recovery!! :wizard:

Sue:

Thanks so much for the well wishes!

I am second case tomorrow so I have to be at the hospital for 7 AM and am scheduled for 9 AM for 130 minutes OR time. With any luck, I'll be in a room around 12:30 - just in time to sleep through The Bold & the Beautiful. I'll be lost without my computer!

Welcome Mom to Madison & Henry! Are both of your little ones cruising with you as well? I'm sure you're looking forward to a little rest & relaxation and if the babies are coming too, some great memorymaking especially with Madison! Be sure to send Sue your information so that she can include your info in the database.

If you have any questions, ask away . . . . I'll try to help as much as possible as I'm sure the other vets will too.

Thinking about you today Lisa :grouphug:
Let us know how you are doing when you are back on line.

I JUST MADE THE FINAL PAYMENT ON OUR CRUISE!!!!!
:Pinkbounc  :thumbsup2 :teeth: :cheer2: :cloud9: :woohoo: :bitelip: :yay: :bounce: ::yes:: :hyper: party: :jumping1: :jumping3:

(I am just a tad excited!!!)

Who knows what the date is for us to book excursions?

I am waiting until close to the last minute, good for you.....
I think if you are a CC member the date is November 19...

Thanks for the welcome. Lisa, I read about your surgery and I hope things went well for you yesterday. Lots of wishes for a speedy and easy recovery! :wizard: :grouphug: Oh, and it seems that our daughter's birthday are very close-Madison will be 3yo 9 days after we board!

Yes, the munchkins are coming with us. They were actually the #1 reason we chose to go on DCL. My husband has 2 weeks off then and we were thinking through many options but realized that DCL is the only place we can go as a family where we can also get a small break to eat a meal by ourselves while they spend some time in Flounder's Reef. On our last DCL cruise we ate at Palo's one night and put Madison in FR and she seemed to like it. (Yes, she was there for the honeymoon.) She was only 3 months old but a very nice woman was rocking her and she actually cried when I picked her up cause I guess she was happy and comfortable rocking. ;) So we're hoping to get to Palo's 1 night this trip too since that was pretty much the last meal we ate kid-free! :teeth: I'm just hoping they'll both stay there while we eat.

We're also flying down on the 14th, around 6am I think, and plan to stay somewhere in Orlando till the 17th. We have WDW APs but they expire 12/26 so we don't want to buy new WDW tickets so we won't be going to the parks, but are thinking about staying at AKL or renting points to stay at a DVC resort (which would be considerably cheaper). We're planning to do one of those Prince and Princess parties at the MK actually, I think that's the night of the 15th, and then go to Sea World for a day. (Gotta get the Disney fix in!) I looked into Universal but my husband thinks since our kids are so young there wouldn't be much for them to do there. I had initally thought we'd stay at a Universal hotel and spend 2 days there and a day at Sea World, but then my husband brought up AKL and that's hard for me to resist. What do you guys think?

Also, we have the 2nd dinner seating but how do we know what rotation it is? On our last cruise we ate at AP first, PC the 2nd night, KT, the 3rd night and then Palo's the last night. I think I've read it's got something to do with your kids ages, but not sure if that's right. At the time we had a 3 month old if that helps at all, and this time we'll have a 6 month old, so would we be APL? When do we find that stuff out?

Well I've got a hungry boy asking to be fed now!

Hello everyone!

I'm back online and home from the hospital. My surgery was far more involved than the doctor expected thus having me all filled with gas and under general anesthesia that had its own side effects.

I'm just glad to be back home and in my own bed. The doc said it may take 4-6 weeks recovery time since he had to remove enough tissue to be the equivalent of being about 5 months pregnant.

I can't wait until I get the staples out on Monday and then return on next Thursday for my post-op visit. I want to see if my clothes fit better!!!

Justthat . . . I looked the other day to see the likelihood of what ages put you in a certain rotation and I couldn't find what I was looking for. I think but am not sure that you'd have APL rotation since your children are so young.

My grandson LOVED Flounders last February. It was a great relief that he didn't have any qualms about going there to give my daughter a break.

Glad to hear you're home and on the way to mending. :tink: for you! DH and I just got back from our long weekend for F&W and MNSSHP. A little WDW is always good for the soul. DD23 has gotten engaged and is planning a wedding sometime this April or May on Cape Cod. She wants to keep it tiny but hasn't looked into any reception places yet. So in addition to keeping the cruise online, I'll be hoping to help plan the wedding reception. Busy times ahead. Hope DS's HS graduation doesn't get lost in the shuffle.

It does sound like busy days are ahead for you!! Enjoy the ride . . . it only happens once in a lifetime!

Lisa good to hear you are home, just think you will be feeling so good by the time we embark.
Debbie congratulations to your daughter, I am wondering if you and I have been at Forth Wilderness at the same time, we generally go he first 2 weeks in August, love it there. We just bought a new motorhome and brought it home yesterday, as it was snowing, I want to go camping so badly right now, so this week-end I feel like a kid playing with a new toy, I am getting my motorhome ready.
My older DD (11) had her first dance last night in Middle school, and both of my kids had 1 friend for a sleepover, at 3:30 a.m. they were still going strong :)

Christine:

Sounds like you'll be looking for a nap midafternoon today!

I am feeling much better today. It is getting easier to manuever around.

What was depressing was getting home, stepping on the scale and discovering TEN extra pounds that I didn't have when I entered the hospital! Its not temporary up to this point . . . as of this morning, they are still there!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

It's probably just retention from swelling...

Christine--Did you say SNOW!!?? Yuk! I guess winter is really coming. It's beautiful here today--about 57 and :sunny: I am going to take advantage of the weather and get rid of the million leaves that covered my yard in a wind storm yesterday.
Have a terrific weekend all!

Its a humid 75 degrees here today. For now, the sun is shining but that should change before nightfall. We have a front coming through and the temps should fall to low 70's by Monday!

PhotoLisa: keep on mending. For other New Englanders, everything except the Norwegian Maple leaves are coming down. And the furnace is turning itself on, too. As I get older I just don't revel in winter the way I used to. Both of my boys DS17 almost 18 and 26 have passes to Wachusetts in MA, and are starting to talk about snowboarding. BRRRR!
