February 16, 2014 DREAMing!

Yay! I found you! We are booked this cruise before we disembarked our Feb 2013 3 day cruise!
Staying starboard Deck 7 in a Family Verandah. CAN NOT WAIT!

We just left the travel agency and we are down for cabin 7184...has a verandah :) does anyone know if its a good location?

We had a very similar room on the Fantasy. We loved it! Very quiet! Only people in those cabins use the hallway!
Easy to the District, AP, and Cabanas. Bit of a walk to forward sections

Sorry I have been missing for a while, but Tom and I just took a short trip to Disneyland Paris to get away from real life for a while. :goodvibes

I am going to update the list right away!
Can't comment on the location, as this will be the first time we will stay in that area. We will be one deck above you! :goodvibes

When in February did you cruise? We were on the Feb 17 cruise.
I am sure this is going to be such a fun cruise! :goodvibes

We were on the one right after that, the 21st??

My son cannot wait to eat at Animators Palette.
We watched a video on the travel channel about the DCL before we even made solid plans. He was talking about it nonstop :)

It is a lot of fun, especially for kids. But it can get pretty loud in that dining room. ;)

We are without our kids for this cruise and our last one in February. I agree it is probably our least favorite. I think having the kids there make it more fun in AP! Still loved it though!

Yes it was definitely the best themed, but I didn't like the menu choices there as much as others !!!

I returned from another Disney Fantasy cruise on Saturday and am SO ready for yet another DCL cruise. A 4-night Dream will do nicely! :goodvibes

I agree about AP. Not my fave on the new ships. I think I'll find a way to skip that one this time. ;)

So once again, LET's GET THIS PARTY STARTED!!! :rockband: party: :dancer:

Hello everyone!

It's been really quiet so I thought I'd drop by and liven things up. I'd been busy as I recently moved. Just a short distance but wow moving is a huge undertaking.

But now that I'm done with that I can get back to focusing on fun things, like this cruise. BTW, my Pal Mickey keeps telling me he wants to go on this cruise! (and he so wants Christiaan as the CD...:rotfl2:)

Karin and Tom, by the way I may be getting to go to DLP. Not until after this cruise. Considering adding on a Paris visit before the western bound transatlantic in 2014. I've done both Disneyland in California and Walt Disney World in Florida. Would be interesting to see the differences.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. It's a long weekend here in the States.

In 2011 we were with friends with two kids 6 and 8 and had a blast there. On our other cruises it was just the two of us and we were not all that happy at AP. If it would not have been for our favourite server Ana, we would not have returned this February. ;)

Yes, it is nicely themed, but I loved AP on the Wonder more. The colour change on the walls, the outfits of the servers that was changed during the meal, much more my thing.
Oh, and I quite like the food there. ;) The veal dish is awesome. :goodvibes

Lucky girl, having been on another cruise again. :thumbsup2

I guess since we don't have any servers we "need" to follow this time, we might just pop into Cabanas that night. We had such excellent service there one night and the food was really good.
Need to save Palo for Pirate night. :rotfl2:

And since you are the girl "in the know" ...... I hope you don't mind me asking a question (or two).
Isn't Captain Tom due for vacation these days?
Any idea if he will be back for our Fantasy sailings in the summer? I would LOVE to meet another one of the awesome captains of the DCL fleet. Captain John was soooooooo nice and I LOVE Captain Gus (because he loves his Mickey whistles :rotfl2:), Captain Henry, well, he is Captain Henry! :rotfl: I would love to meet Captain Tom.

:woohoo: I love a lively thread! Thanks for bumping it up again. :goodvibes

Moving can be so stressful and such a lot of work. Glad you got it behind yourself. :woohoo: Congratulations on your new "living quarters".

Tom and I have been busy too ...... travelling that is. We went to DLRP at the end of April and have been to Italy (Venice) last week. We both went back to work the day after we returned home and even though it has been vacation, it was pretty hard to get into the swing of things again.

Guess what, I "talked" to my Pal Mickeys about going on a cruise and all three of them were in for it. :rotfl2:
I guess they would be pleased to meet Christiaan too! :rotfl:

And, if you decide to do DLRP, let me know and I can give you some tips on how to tour and what is different there. You should definitely plan on at least two days to see and do it all. :thumbsup2
Okay, and I might just add that I so envy you the WBTA! Can't wait for my retirement (still too many years to count down) when we will be able to go on a cruise outside my school holidays. :cloud9:

Enjoy your holiday weekend! We'll have a holiday Thursday next week and luckily us teachers get Friday off too! :yay:

He just stepped off the Fantasy for his vacation TODAY. I'm not sure yet exactly when he returns, but I'm guessing around August 3rd. :goodvibes

Thank you so much for the quick reply! :goodvibes
I didn't know he started his vacation today, all I had heard was that he would go on vacation in early summer.
And I soooooo hope he gets back on the Fantasy by early August. We are cruising on the Fantasy on the August 10 and August 17 sailings. Fingers crossed we will get lucky to meet him. :woohoo:

Unless something comes up to change it, he should definitely be back aboard by then. It will most likely be August 3rd. ;)

Could you shoot some pics of him for me? I need them for the Captain Tom Forberg Fans page on FB. I only managed about a dozen this time because my hubby was with me. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

I don't have a FB account (school doesn't allow it), but I am sure I can figure out a way to get them to you (PM comes to mind! :thumbsup2)
