Didn't get a chance to read through the thread yet but I will be on the Feb 14 cruise with my 13 year old son (Brett) and his 14 year old friend (Frank). This will be our 4th Disney Cruise and my son's friends first cruise.

Don't know if there will be a meet but we'd be up for that.

I just got off the Dream this past weekend. It says the last night is Semi formal optional. I wore a skirt and most people were in nice pants or a skirt. There were a few in semi formal clothing, but it wasn't required nor the popular option.

Hi Scott - I have a 13yo as well, but I am leaving him behind. Just my 2 girs this trip. We had a Facebook page with the last Dream trip I took (Nov 29-Dec2) but there wasn't a meet. Not sure about this group if there is a meet set up.

We had a meet in the Tube on the Fantasy cruise earlier this year. The Evolution is in the same place on the Dream, all the way aft on Deck 4. We used the meet to pass out any last-minute changes to the FE lists (we had 3 separate FE lists!) and maps for the FE participants to find all the cabins.

We had a HUGE group where someone made t-shirts and lanyards specific to our group. The logo in my signature is from that group.

That is a great reason if nothing else. About half the people on the list don't have their cabin numbers and may not until very close to sailing.

About 9 weeks until we sail and things are starting to come together for us. Planning a couple days before going to WDW with my in-laws. They are staying in Daytona for the month but aren't coming on the cruise. Will take them to Epcot, to the parades and fireworks. Since I get military tickets I can get a 4-day for less than the cost of two 1-days. Hope I can get them to go back for three of the days we are there.

Okay, got the list.... Now the newbie question is, what do we do with it? Cruise ship rookies here so not clear on how it works. Any veterans able to explain?

Basically you get gifts together. Either one for the cabin or one for each person. Than sometime during the cruise you place them in their FE. That's it!

It is like a constant Christmas! You will always be checking the FE every time you come back to your cabin. Since we have a smallish list and we only have three days I don't think we need to divide the list.

As people get their cabin numbers I will add them to the list. I will send it out again when I get everyone or a couple weeks before so I'm not bombarding you all with constant emails for each up date. Big thing is the count right now.

Hopefully we will do the meet and that way we can pass out any cabin changes. My last cruise people left notes at their old cabin with their new number.

Great way to check out the ship, doors and people's work on their FE. Still not sure if we are going to reuse our last one or make a new one.
