February 12th, 2005 Western. Who's going???

Quick reply to dinner seating question...Nathan and I have 2ND seating...it's pretty good...not as rushed and I almost always take dessert back to the room for breakfast in the morning. :goodvibes

I'd enjoy joining you all for some of the shows or after dinner entertainment since I know Nathan will be scoping out the other teens.

Sorry Jen I don't know why I pm you re: the day. What time are looking to go to brunch. Now how does that work is that also $10 a person for bruch and are able to make a resv. for so many people.
steph

Yes I believe it's $10 per person but it's very much worth it! And I don't know 100% for sure if I'll be able to make those reservations but one of the ladies in our group did it last year. I think they allow it because it's not like I'm asking to go 10 times, I'm just making a reservation so a bunch of couples can go together. And I'm not sure what time I'll be able to get but I think I'm going to shoot for 10:30 or 11:00.

Hey everyone,
Just got back from my business trip to Port Canaveral. Got a look at the Wonder on Thursday morning at about 7:00 am. The fog was too thick to get a pic, but that ghostly form was a great sight. The temps at the port were in the 70's.

Jen, we also have the early seating. Can't wait to find out the rotation.

Ok, Just was at target and got shorts, they had jean shorts, beige, and I think there was pink. I also saw some shorts at the Gap, not cheap.

Kids or womens dept?

Kids dept. I actually did not check the womens, but if the kids came in I am sure the womens did.

Francisca, we have the second seating as well....... Looks like we are divided between 1st and 2nd seating. We can all figure out who's going where once we get on board. My DD and DS will be hanging out with their friends Im sure. NP joining us for shows etc.........

I used the GRITS comment on people in southern Texas.........they had no clue........ LOL !!!!

Jen, Nice Avatar.......... Under the Sea is my fav.......... :cool1:

Some advice on seating preferences.......... If you have young children...1st is usually best. If you do not want to rush from shore excursions and/or have the ability to eat a late lunch, 2nd is best for you. Its a personal choice. If you booked late, like we did, you pretty much get 2nd. The waitlist for 1st gets pretty large. We have found it works for us either way.....

Hey when I'm on the Magic......there are no issues........till I have to get off the ship ..... I figure if we went for a month straight.......That might be about right........

It's weird but it seems like the kids shorts come out before the womens. I found some Tommy Hilfiger shorts today at Marshall Fields but I refuse to pay $40 for a pair of shorts for my 11yo.

We were out shopping today and wandered into Crate and Barrel. I mentioned to DH that I should try to find some plastic martini glasses to bring on the ship. Guess what they had there! I didn't buy them but I might go back and get some before we leave. Drinking something like an Appeltini just isn't the same out of a plastic cup. You definately need to glass to make the drink look nice. :rotfl2:

Hello to all you fellow DIS'rs

I have decided to create a user name for myself and begin to provide my input because Kyydd2000 :cat: {Julia} is getting way too excited for me to sit by and just let things unfold.

I must admit, having never taken a cruise before - let alone a Disney Cruise, it has become quite an event for Julia and I. We went to Nassau, Bahamas last year and it was awsum to say the least. I some how get a warm feeling come over me when I think of the "bathtub warm" water we were exposed to during that trip. Being as it was an All-Inclusive and the food was excellent, I have come to think that we are in for somewhat the same in a couple weeks. However, the way you "experienced cruisers" :worship: are explaining, I think that this up and coming trip will show us a time like we have never had.

I look forward to meeting most if not all of you. I hope that with the kids occupied doing their thing that some of us adults can let our hair down and just have a blast ... :cool1:

Had to go shopping today for a new cell phone. Old one kinda gave up the ghost. You guessed it........It had to have Disney Ringtones with Mickey Wallpaper. And of course, Capt. Jack Sparrow........ What would a cell phone be without Pirates of the Caribbean !!! pirate:

Hey Mr. Bill, Welcome to the World of Disney Crusing. Life will never be the same !!! If you loved the Bahama's........Grand Cayman and Cozumel will raise it up a notch.
So what part of Ontario is Welland in ??? Near any major cities ???

The first thing you must realize about a Disney Cruise is that everybody onboard should and most probably will have fun.
The second thing is that the Cast Members (CM's) spoil the crap out of you. Service and attention to detail is first rate. They really care that you have an experience of a lifetime. Thats why Disney has sooooo many repeat cruisers. We went the first time for the kids, now we go for all of us ...... Ok, mostly for me......... But that's another story best left for the ship. :rotfl:

So, Welcome Aboard......and let Julia have all the fun she wants getting excited........trust me........its catchy Mark

Bill, one other thing...........since you will already know about 50 people or so before we get on the ship.... 'Letting your hair down' shouldnt be an issue any of us will have !!!

Good Luck seeing your children at any time other than dinner......Once they get in the Kids Clubs and meet friends.....Mickey makes them disappear........ ::MickeyMo

Two weeks from now my happy, Disney lovin soul will be on its way to Key West........ Yo Ho, Yo Ho A Pirates life For Me !!!!! pirate:

One other nice aspect of Dinner on a Disney Cruise......... If your children are old enough to check themselfs in and out of the Kids clubs ....... Once they finish dinner (Children usually get their food first), they head back to the clubs......... leaving you to contemplate which dessert to eat. Just look confused at your server's........they will bring you them all.......Yep that's right........at least one of each. Did I say that right Fairy Godmother ???
