Hello to anyone sailing on the Feb. 12 2005 Western cruise. We just got back from the Feb. 7th sailing and we loved it so much that we booked again for next year. :Pinkbounc

I know for sure that 2 other couple that were on that sailing also booked for next year so why not get the list started and make it a busy one! I guess I'll get started with introducing myself and my family. I'm Jen and my dh is Joe. We have 2 girls. Kaela will be 11yo when we sail and Beth will be 8yo. We're from the freezing tundra otherwise known as Minnesota.

We met GenGang last week on the Magic and will be sailing with her and her family again next year. We are actually booked for a back to back for the first two weeks of February 2005.

I (Jami) am traveling with my DH (Scott) and DD (Jazmyn) who will be 8 when we cruise again.

Hello all, we will be joining you unless by some miracle we get a spot on the "not yet released" summer 2005 Magic out of California!

It will be me, DH Dan, DS 11 Ryan, DS 11 Aaron and DS 8 Colin.

I was talking to a friend of mine tonight and I just kinda threw out in the converstation that she should go on the Feb. 12th cruise and she just said something like "exactly!" I thought it was kind of a weird response so I said something about that being when we were going on our next cruise and as it turns out, she was already booked on this cruise!!! So I'm going to know someone else on the ship. I'm not sure if I'll get her to visit the board or not but just in case she does, "HI CHERYL!" LOL

I just thought I'd bump our thread up since I know Annie and Randy should be home soon so hopefully they'll find us!

Hey guys! I want to sail on this cruise too!! But, I'm really curious how the weather is during this time of year? We went at the first of December and it was quite chilly. (We literally froze in the parks!)

Do they do anything special for Valentine's Day? My dh just surprised me over the last V-D with a vow renewal, so I think it would be neat to cruise during our 1st "anniversary", which would really be the year of our real 10th anniversary! ;)

Would love any info. so I can try to talk him into it!! :teeth:

I don't know what the weather will be like on the western cruise but we were just on the 2/7 eastern and the weather was GREAT! Nice and warm but not hot. I'm guessing that the western will be about the same.

Hello!

We just got home today from our first Magic cruise and liked it so much that we booked onboard for this cruise! It made it a lot easier to get off the ship today knowing that we will be back next year!

We were on the Eastern itinerary for the cruise we just took so we are looking forward to the Western itinerary. By the way, the weather was absolutely perfect - sunny skies and 85 degrees everyday. Except for yesterday at Castaway Cay, where it was very windy and kind of cool.

We met a very nice group of DISers on our cruise. In fact, a group of 12 of us ate dinner together every night. That was a lot fun because it gave us a chance to talk about our days and also not have to eat with strangers!

My family includes me (41), my dh (41), my dd who will be 13 next February, and my ds who will be 10.

P.S.

I have to figure out to change our countdown clock!

I just thought I'd drop in and say "hi".... We booked the Feb. 12th as well. Myself, DH and DD who will be 11... When we were on the Jan. 31 western the weather was great - very similar to the eastern ...

Hi Annie! How was your stay in WDW? I hope the weather was nice after having 2 wonderful weeks on the Magic. Was it hard coming home to the cold?::MinnieMo

Hi Jen - It was fairly cool in Orlando for the first few days... we had to wear a sweater or jacket... but we chose those days to do inside things and still had a great time... We stayed at the Royal Palms and they had the most beautiful pool (actually it's at the Mariott World Centre) but they had a free shuttle that took us to the pool so once it warmed up we spent lots of time there... we also went to Blizzard Beach for the first time since it's always been closed when we have been in Orlando. It was okay and I'm glad we saw it but we really prefer Typhoon Lagoon - probably because we see enough snow at home! It was actually pretty nice out when we got home so we were able to ease back into winter - now it's getting cold again... How are you all doing?

We're doing good but I'd rather be on another cruise rigt now. Weather has actually been great here but I just want to escape from work and school already. LOL Since you're gone for 3 weeks, how much school does your dd miss? I thought I saw in another thread that you do this trip when she's on a school break but is it for the whole time?

This is our first cruise ever!!! We have 2 boys ages 4 and 10 (at the date going) Just found this site and I have become ADDICTED!!!!!Can't wait

Welcome 5boysplus,

We returned from our first cruise (the Eastern cruise on 2/21) and had a fabulous time! We booked this Western cruise in order to see new places and go on the Magic again! I got addicted to the DIS boards too! We met some very nice people from the DIS boards on our cruise and had a great time with them.

WELCOME!!! You're going to love the cruise and so will your kids. It's the most incredible vacation.

We had already figured that we'd leave MN a few days before the cruise and thought we'd go visit NASA. I was fine with that because I went to NASA when I was 16, thought it was cool and that it would be neat to see again. But then last night I was flipping through the channels and came across Emeril on the food network. He just opened a new restaurant at Universal Studio and I wanna go!!! Only problem is that I think dh has his mind made up that he wants to go to NASA so how do I get him to change his mind? LOL

Jen,

You have almost a year to work on your dh! I have to work on convincing my dh that we can afford this cruise! By my calculations, we have about 10 months to pay it off. I think we will manage! Good luck!

I am bumping up our thread and getting a weather check from all of you. I think most of us have snow again. Ugh! I love snow, but by the time March comes, I am tired of it! My poor tulips look so sad coming up in the snow. I don't know why I worry about them - this happens every year and they still manage to bloom in May!

Stay warm!
