February 12th, 2005 Western. Who's going???

I know what you mean about tiny shorts. Megan (9) tried on a bathing suit, 2 pc, and the bottoms were so tiny that they were like daisy dukes. DD is slender (DH side of family), so that's not the problem. The bigger size was too big in the waist and on top. It looked very inappropriate for a young girl. And I KNOW I'm getting old.

Good Morning all;

Jen do your girls do the Character Breakfasts?-I we have it on Monday I'm sure my DF will handle the kiddies.
Has anyone checked on the movies?
We went last time so I'm not sure if they'll want to do it again or not. I hope so because I thought it was pretty fun myself. It we have it Monday and I get brunch reservations, I'll have to see if they want to go by themselves. We saw kids doing that last year.

Speaking of books, what are you bringing to read? Would love to trade romance novels with someone, so I don't have to bring too many. I read romance novels for escape and fun, started in undergrad to counter all the technical reading I had to do for school. D-SIL not a big romance reader, D-MIL reads mostly murder, sci-fi or intrigue. DH, D-BIL and D-FIL aren't big readers except for newspapers, hunting, gambling or investing books/magazines. So, if anyone wants to trade books on board, let me know.
I plan on spending time relaxing and reading on this vacation.

I'll have some to trade with you. I'm not sure what I'll bring with me but it'll be some sort of trashy romance novel. I even have a few here that I've already read that I'll bring along incase you want them.

Thanks Jen. So far packed Love Overboard (originally published as Ivan Takes a Wife?) by Janet Evanovich and Islands by Anne Rivers Siddons.

Jen & Anne--you guys must be better time managers than me. I cant remember the last time I read a book. In fact I just threw some December magizines that I never read. Now I'm looking @ jan, feb & even a March.
Think I'll bring some of those. My mom gave me some books this summer, wonder where they went?
Anyway off to the bookstore & then I think maybe a run. Not as sunny here today. Although about 45.
Wendy

Romance Novels..........Oh Please......Laura will fit right in. Me, I'll be at the pool soakin up the rays.......Drinkin a Fozen Muslide........Jammin with my IPOD to some Classic Rock, Jimmy Buffett, or some rockin Country tunes......

If I'm reading a book............It will be Dan Brown, Tom Clancy, or John Grisham.

Has anyone been as busy as me??? :Pinkbounc Trying to pack for a family of 5 is something else! Especially a baby...Now Dh wants to spend the evening watching the Super Bowl!! Sorry, not for me. My mind is racing with what I need to get done. Have anyone ever paked boxes for the cruise? Seems like I read some where that some one put stuff in boxes. I have a nebulizer, breast pump, bag of diapers and wipes that I would like to put in a box. Good Idea? If so, do I tape one of our luggage tags on it? Where is the meet again? 3 o'clock? I tell you if we make it to that ship w/o nothing big happening or anything getting lost....as soon as they announce us I swear I'll kneal down and kiss the floor :earboy2: Well got to go pack away! :wave2:

That's one of the things I do late at night when I'm up. Throw a load of laundry in, read a few chapters, throw it in the dryer, read a little more. Go to bed with dry clothes in dryer and then have to iron everything because it's so wrinkled. :rotfl2:

Hope this isn't double posted....
Kim, We are meeting at Studio Sea on deck 4.
Wendy, you should see my house, not spotless......lived in look.
Jen, I do the exact same thing. If I am reading a good book, I can stay up
most of the night.

Goodness, I go away for a weekend and come back to another 50+ posts! :)

Can we say EXCITED??

Jen/Joe Congrats on the anniversary...sorry it's belated, just back from NC....where....my sweetie asked me to marry him! Go figure!!! :) We're being very casual about the whole thing because we've been close friends for 25 years and started dating a few months ago, but it's really wonderful to finally marry your best friend. :)

We were in the car coming back from dinner and he looked over at me and said, "If I asked you to marry me would you?" I said, "Yes." Then he said something that made me smile...he said to himself, "I asked her to marry me and she said 'Yes.'" He got a big grin on his face and simply held my hand while we were driving. It was really sweet, especially since this will be his first (my second).

OK, so I'm glowing a bit...but the best thing is...he gave me money for a DEPOSIT on our next DISNEY CRUISE today...whooo hooo!! :) (OK, maybe not the best thing, but we are a little fanatical here and I knew you'd understand! :) )

On another note...in our church we have a time called..."Joys and Concerns" It's really a wonderful way to let people know what's going on in your life...to get support, prayers and be a closer church family.

So, I've expressed my joy...my concern is that the Thursday I get back from the cruise, I go in for cervical cancer surgery. We scheduled it around the cruise since I only found out a couple of weeks ago and the Dr. said a week or so wouldn't make that much difference.

The good news is that after the surgery and a month of recovery I'll be good as new! :) So, as the latest addition to my large family, I'll ask for your prayers and thoughts on the 24th.

Thanks...I can't wait to meet you all...Nathan is excited about meeting Elizabeth, Capt'n Jack. :) Don't worry...he's a very honourable and well-mannered young man. :)

We will be happy to include you in our prayers. Our church does the same..... Helps us realize how vulnerable we all are. You have such a positive attitude. As for Nathan, If he takes after his mother..........he would honourable indeed.

Elizabeth makes friends quickly........Tell Nathan there should be a bunch of Teens on the cruise, and from the last cruise..........they hang out together all the time.

Oh, and BTW..........I AM PACKED !!!!!!!! :cool1: Done....Finished.....Ready to GO !!!!!
