On another note...in our church we have a time called..."Joys and Concerns" It's really a wonderful way to let people know what's going on in your life...to get support, prayers and be a closer church family.

So, I've expressed my joy...my concern is that the Thursday I get back from the cruise, I go in for cervical cancer surgery. We scheduled it around the cruise since I only found out a couple of weeks ago and the Dr. said a week or so wouldn't make that much difference.

The good news is that after the surgery and a month of recovery I'll be good as new! So, as the latest addition to my large family, I'll ask for your prayers and thoughts on the 24th.

Thanks...I can't wait to meet you all...Nathan is excited about meeting Elizabeth, Capt'n Jack. Don't worry...he's a very honourable and well-mannered young man.

Congrats!!! on your engagement.. Too bad he can not come with us,..

Ok, its time to go Watch the Super Bowl !!!! Football this weekend, Disney Cruise the Next..... Only one thing would make it better........

I bet, like riding on the Harley... Ken wishes we could be doing that..but not enough and still snow and salt on the road..

AMEN to this! And this seems to be a good spot to tell you all something else about me since I'm sure to talk about it on the ship. Because well, I talk alot. LOL

I really do love babies but we just knew that we didn't want more than 2 kids. I knew that we couldn't afford to do the things we wanted with them if we had more. But I still wasn't over loving being pregnant. So Joe and I talked about it and I decided to be a surrogate mom. I worked with an agency that is based in CA. They matched us with a very sweet couple from WI. I've delivered 2 beautiful baby girls for them. The first one will be 4yo in March and the other one is 15 months old. The reason we went on the cruise last year is because they gave it to us as a gift after baby #2 was born. Then of course we had such a good time that here we are again!

So anyway, there's another wacky story about me. Are you all scared of me yet? I got married at the Mall of America and I've had babies for other people.

Wow, wow Jen you are AMAZING!!! my neigbor did that for another neighbor, and my friend had an egg donor.. I think people like you make miracles happen....My friend had a egg donator, her baby is truly a mircle, when she was 5mo preg. they diagnosed the baby with a diaphramic hernia, and told her he would only have a 40% chance of survival. She continued with the preg. and 1 day old (other problems set in) had open heart surgery. He just celebrated his 2nd birthday.. he is a Miracle... and so are people like you are!!!!

Thank you...yes, too bad too, but that's why he wanted me to book for next year...same time same place maybe.

This is actually a cruise for just my son and me. My daughter, Olivia (8) chose Disney World this coming Oct. I like doing one-on-one things with my two children. They are growing up sooo fast, especially my son. He just turned 14 in Dec and is already over 6 feet tall!! He loves being a whole head taller than his mom!

Ok, so I might not get to post anymore after this, just soooo busy this week, so I wanted to say a few things. I have only been on this board for a short period, but feel like I know all of you. All of you seem like wonderful people. Jen- what a good heart you have! Francisca- Congrats! and you are in my thoughts, pretty much my whole family except for me has had breast cancer..we went 2003 Magic "Pink Ribbon Cruise" I wish you a speedy recovery. Bill- the post you did a while back with the flowers and sweet stuff, made me smile that day! I was having a depressing day too and that lifted me up, wanted to tell you THANKS! And forgot the names but HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!( I think its while we are on the ship, right?) OK, I have to go...Hope everyone has a safe trip and see ya soon! BTW, if I forget to tell you, you have to try a BBC, my favorite frozen drink!! Bananas, Baileys and Cream! YUM

Ok, have questions, do I need to bring an unbrella, and if I have vodka will ship supply lemons/limes or should I bring my own garnish? Also, do we need pirate stuff, tropical clothes, or anything fun that I need to be aware of besides
the Formal nite and Semi Formal nite..

Also, anyone know about if we should get sick or get ear aches on the ship, if they have a pharmacy there? Or should I be prepared with that too?
sorry for all the questions but being sick on a ship with little ones scares me a little.

Jen, I did not do the brunch, because I did not want to miss the character breakfast. I would however, love to join you guys another time with cocktails at the lounge or a show. ( Besides the party in your room with the band),LOL

like hats, vodka, wine, beach bag, valentine stuff, etc....bot clothes not yet...

Well my morning wasnt too grand, the refrigator was a 65. I thought something wasnt right yesterday but my mind was on other things. Allison tell me now that her milk was warm yesterday. So before work I threw out everything. Dh has called in the repairman, wont be surprised if we have to replace it. Nothing really last that long anymore. Only 6 years old.
But in 1 week I'll be waking up on the Magic looking forward to a day in the sun. Have a good day Wendy

Wendy, sorry about your fridge! At least it went out before your vacation. Can you imagine how stinky it would have been if it sat all week.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. Being a surrogate mom was one of the most incredible things I have ever been through in my life. I have stayed in contact with the family and get pictures regularly. As a matter of fact, the mom called me last night just to wish us a safe and fun vacation. She said she's sending me more pictures. With any luck I'll get them before the cruise.

I didn't bring an umbrella with. I guess if it rains, I'm either getting wet or staying inside. LOL
Not sure if they'll have lemons or limes for you.
Pirate, tropical stuff is optional. From what I understand, they give you a red bandana. DH and I have kind of tropical shirts but I refuse to go buy pirate stuff.
There isn't a pharmacy but they sell basics in the store. If you like certain meds, bring them with you. There is a medical center on the ship if you have anything major happen.
And that's fine if you don't come to brunch. We'll make sure we get together some other time,

Dont worry around here I'm know as the traveling pharmacy. Try to have my kids meds covered, mine are a bit older but Allison still uses kids stuff.

The suitcases caused me too much stress. I think I'm going to have to either remove stuff or add a suitcase. Well off to finish a couple of things & off to bed. Will just be glad to have cold frig tommarrow am.

FINALLY!!!!!!

Our docs finally came in!! I was beginning to think that we would just have to travel all the way to the ship with just our email confirmations. I like having the actual tickets better.

Went for our second last fake 'n bake and then its off for the "real" thing!

Now just awaiting the contact lens order to arrive in the mail so I can at least see while Im cruisin'. Mailed the same day as the Disney Docs so should be here anytime. Why is it when you are waiting for something to come in the mail from the States it seems like its kazillions of miles away when in fact its only 17 minutes drive???

With this Character breakfast... what time does that usually start?? And Mark, do you plan on doing the character breakie with Laura and the kids then hit the Palos brunch??

I'm going to miss my dogs. If there were a way to sneak them on the ship I would. Our one dog is so clingy that we tease that she should have been named "Velcro". LOL And they know something is going on because they've been very unsettled the last couple days. They'll be happy and well taken care of because my sister is staying here to dog/house sit but I just hate leaving them behind. If I knew how to put pictures on the board, I'd share the picture I have of Heidi (AKA Velcro dog) trying to stowaway in my suitcase when we went to Vegas.

I can't believe that there isn't a single post this morning. You all must be busy trying to finish up everything before we go. I'm so excited that I only have 2 more days at work before we leave. My assistant is driving me nuts right now and I really need to get away from her.
