February 12th, 2005 Western. Who's going???

Just realized...........One week from tonight.....We will be driving to MickeyVille...... :cool1:

Anybody bringing aboard a toddler. I'm sure my 2 yr old daughter (will be 3 in May) would love to meet a playmate!

oh yeah, My Newport-news order came today. So one suit will work the other goes back as soon as I can hit the post office. YUCK!!!!!

Can anyone say HUGE cover-up required!!!

I got my one suit today and it just looked weird on on me. So I guess this means I'm going to have to buy that Miraclesuit. Oh well, it did a pretty good job of smooshing the baby blubber that I've never lost so I guess it's worth the money!

Since Mark mentioned the Magic's horn, if any of you are interested in hearing it, let me know and I can e-mail it to you. A couple we were with last year managed to capture it on their camera.

Re: In Laws
They wanted to go someplace warm this winter and couldn't agree on what to do. Tossed around different ideas including a 14 day Hawaiian cruise, but they would be gone over Easter. Easter is a big deal for MIL, she has a huge Easter egg hunt in her yard, about 25 kids (relatives and neighbors). She didn't want to be gone then. Also, FIL who usually goes to Alaska fishing every yr, couldn't find anyone to go with him. So they were looking for a trip, and decided to join ours. If it were me, I'd go back to a Hawaii in a heartbeat and tell everyone to do their own egg hunt. But that's me.
DH tells me we will still have "alone time" while on this cruise. So if you see us quickly sneaking away from IL's, clear a path ;)

Anne, I think you're being a very good sport about your IL's coming. If it were me and I found out my MIL was cruising with us, I'd either cancel or jump ship. LOL

Thanks Jen, definately thought about those options. But, then would have to explain to the kids why I threw their grandparents over :guilty:
The brunch will be a nice get away also, probably won't tell them about it until you confirm the date and time. That way they shouldn't be able to get ressies. Is that too mean :scratchin ? hmmm, guess it is, but I will still
do it :rotfl2:

Hey, this is your vacation and you deserve some time away from them! It's not like they asked you if they could come with. We'll just have to get you some extra champagne at brunch so you won't mind being with them afterward. :rotfl2:

:rose: That ... is for all you ladies who are feeling a bit down right now about the sort of things which most women are self consious about.

:flower2: That ... is for all of you ladies who are feeling a bit stressed about how things are unfolding just days away from the boat pulling away from the dock.

:flower3: That ... is for the balance of you ladies who think you have nothing to worry about because you are this close to getting on the ship and nothing has happened to you as described by all those other ladies.

:rotfl2: That ... is for all us guys who know we will be sitting on the deck topside, drinking multiples of ice-cold frozen drinks one after another while all you women sit and share stories :hyper2: about everything that could have gone wrong, going wrong !!

pirate: Capt'n Jack, we need another refill :drinking1

Nighty night everyone. Or I suppose I should say Good Morning since most of you are reading this in the AM. I was just thinking that this time next week I'll be all packed and ready to go. After work next Wednesday I have all my appointments to make myself pretty. Nails, hair cut and color and of course (look away men!) the essential waxing. :rotfl2: My own family won't be able to recognize me when I come home!

I'm getting so excited that I think I'm starting to drive my assistant cook crazy. And of course I keep rubbing it in to all the kids as I serve them lunch that they're going to be in school while I'm soaking up the sun. I was reminded today that I do have to come back home after the cruise but I just told that mom that maybe I'd just find a reason to stay on one of the islands. Now I just need to come up with some idea to be able to do just that.

Hmmm some ideas. How about the sun :sunny: , the rum :drinking1 , the peace and quiet :cloud9: , the slower lifestyle :goodvibes , did I mention the rum?

I think I will just stay. :sunny: :sunny:

okay,

I don't know how to copy someones post. I really messed that last one up. The first part was part of Jen's post.

LOL, I figured out what saying. I think all the ideas sound wonderful. Now if I can just convince DH that we should stay. LOL

I don't think i would have any trouble talking Mark into staying. We get a Island magazine and the pictures are awesome. Just this side of heaven. We always look at the pictures and imagine our home being there. Maybe someday. Or course I would need a lot more than my magic wand to get us there.

:wizard:

Jen how do you do keep going with your late nights? I used to be able to stay up later but now if I'm not in bed by 1030, I fall asleep sitting up @ work. I do better on weekends where I dont have to sit all day.
Ok now I'm going to start with the questions--how much cash do you think would be nessary. We usually charge what we can. Is this a problem in Grand caymen or Cozumel? I know this one is off the wall but--can you pack those disposable cameras in your checked luggage? I have about 8 of them for kids & waterp ones.
Guess thats it for now. Thanks for all your help :wave2:

I have no idea how I manage with so little sleep. It probably helps that I don't sit from the minute I get to work until I get home. Also, caffine is my friend! LOL I tried to negotiate daily coffee from a local coffee shop into my contract for this school year but it didn't work,

Money is just a personal thing. It's going to depend on how much you think you'll buy. Some people go crazy and others are so reserved. I think most of the shops would take CC's but I would just be careful and only use them in more reputable shops. I've heard of not so nice shops keeping CC #'s and using them. :sad2:
Cameras will be fine in your checked bag BEFORE you use them. After they are used, I would put them in your carry on because the x-rays they are using for checked bags is super strong.

Let the packing begin.......... Have to get the info ready for taxes.......... Time to haul the suitcases out of the closet and start to fill them up !!!!

As for staying in the islands........ Just wave to me and say goodbye. Cayman would be my first choice from the Western, St John from the Eastern. Either way, its all good !!!!
