Hey Jen thanks for the reply, some of the things I have read I am not sure about. Like do I really need sand pails, shovel etc. for cc. I have a connecting room and I was told to bring bungie cords. Gosh, I have a lot of questions. Bringing water bottles, snacks, and I am getting conflicting stories regarding pop is it free or do you have to buy a mug. Lets start there.

Stepheni, First off, Welcome to our list!
Sand pails and shovels~ I would say that if you think your kids are going to want them, bring them because they don't have any just sitting around on the beaches. My DD Beth just had a blast last year digging in the sand with sticks or whatever she found but I did kind of wish that I had thought about sand toys. Maybe I'll add that to my shopping list.
I've never had adjoining rooms but from what I've read you can use them to hold the 2 doors open. So again, I guess if that's important to you, bring them with.
Snacks, water bottles and sodas~ I was never wanting for food last year. You can get stuff from room service 24 hours a day (don't forget to tip! LOL)and there are many other places to just grab something quick. Believe me, you will not starve on this vacation! LOL Of course if your kids have specific snacks they love, maybe it wouldn't hurt to bring a little something for them. The water at the drink station was very good so unless you want to lug around water bottles all the time, I guess I tend to believe you don't need to bring them. DH works in the water treatment industry and he even liked the water so it must be OK.

As for soda, it is now free at the deck 9 drink station. It's also free in all the sit down restaurants and I believe at the buffet Topsiders. If you want a soda while at a bar, you will need to pay for it. I think I read that they are still selling the soda mug so you could take that to all the bars and get soda without an extra charge. But if I remember right from last year, it was something like $35 for that mug. Now I love soda but there is NO WAY that I could drink enough in a week to make it worth spending that. Plus I didn't want to have to carry the mug all over the ship.
So there's a start to your questions, feel to ask away and we'll all do our best to help you out.
