February 11, 2012 Eastern Caribbean on the Disney Magic***

Welcome all!

I went to HS in Annapolis!! And my name is Cathy too! :goodvibes

How was the MR?

That's Cool.:cool1: We live in Hillsmere right now, but we did live off Riva rd for years.

Dave and I enjoyed the MR. Had a great DIS group. My first FE was alot of fun. We did not have alot of time in Cobo so I hope they fix that.

Yay!! New cruise peeps :) Welcome everyone--just a little over a year 'til we sail

We were on the same cruise last week :rotfl:how funny. We booked this trip on board as well. I waited for over an hour on Saturday to book. That's what I get for waiting until the last minute.

I have to confess, when we walked by the future bookings desk Friday evening and Saturday, I was REALLY glad that we had booked earlier in th week! We were travelling with my parents and my bro, sil and niece and have booked a total of 5 rooms on the Eastern.

Hi all - we just put down the deposit for this cruise. This will be the first cruise ever for us - me, husband, and 2 sons (6 and 4 yrs. old at cast off). My parents-in-law are coming as well and it's their first cruise too. Even though it is one year away, we are already excited and talking about what clothes to bring... I hope to meet some of you on board!!

Hello!
We are paying our deposit tomorrow for this cruise!
It will be our first Disney Cruise, but not our first cruise ever.
It will be me, dh, and 2 daughters (6 and 4 when sailing). We also are surprising my mom and bringing her along.

I'm very excited to start the planning and learning process. We just returned from 10 days at Disney after Christmas and I'm already going through withdrawal.

Yay!! We just got off the Magic this morning. Drove home and have been resting on my couch since 10:00.

Thrilled to share that we booking this cruise on board! So excited to be BACK on the Magic in 363 days. We had the Western Itinerary and it was amazing, can't wait to do Eastern next.

Our FE exchange was small, but nice because it was easy to manage. Look forward to participating on this one also!!

We are the Valentine's Day Cruisers , wonder how quickly Palo will book for that night :surfweb: I will be online as soon as it opens for us!

Cruising with my DH and our DD (5 at sail time) and DS (almost 2 at sail time). :yay:

We also just got off the Magic this morning. We have 5 days in WDW before reality hits agian

We just got off the Magic this morning and I cried like a baby! Lol we had so much fun!! We rebooked for the same exact cruise next year. DH, John, thinks we are going to push it back after more dates are released but I'm set on going next year! :) my kids will be 6, 3, and 2. We booked connecting rooms and thinking about inviting my parents. We went with my inlaws and sister in law and her family this time and had lots of fun! This is a great itinerary for little kids and I loved that there are 3 sea days. We did the FE too and had lots of fun!

Just got off the 2/13 Mexican Riviera cruise on Wonder and wanted to do another Valentine's Day cruise so rebooked this one on board. We are going on the Dream in June for my daughter's high school graduation celebration, but will be sans kids for this eastern itinerary. We've done the eastern once before, then were supposed to be doing it a second time but morning of the cruise it got changed to a western itinerary due to weather threats somewhere in the Caribbean. This will be Disney cruise #14 for us...just one non DCL cruise (on NCL) to Alaska. Obviously, we have an addiction problem.

Our dinner companions on our MR cruise (who we met on Disboards in a cruise meet thread just like this one) booked this one as well, so we're excited to know we'll see them again! I'm sure Purplejewel will be turning up here soon, once the laundry is done. :-)

Laundry is done SkyLynx :rotfl:and I'm happy to finally be posting on the meet thread for our next cruise with you. I'm so excited about this next cruise:cloud9:. It certainly made getting off the ship on Sunday easier to bear knowing that we already have this one booked. We may end up paying cash for more cruises like we did for the first time with our cruise next February instead of using our DVC points since the discount offered if you booked while on board was great. Or, doing a combination of DVC points and cash if we take all the kids. I returned to work yesterday and, I kid you not, I had 350 emails to answer :scared1:. It's been 2 days and I am still working on answering all of them. Boy, do I ever wish I was back on the cruise ship now:laughing:.

Have to mention that I loved the Mexican Riveira and hope to one day do that cruise again.

We are taking our four daughters on their 1st Disney Cruise this November on the Dream so when we take the Eastern Caribbean Cruise next February, it will be our 6th cruise which makes us GOLD status DCL members - YEAH:yay:. We have awhile to go before we are PLATINUM status but the way my DH and I love cruising, coupled with the almost guarantee that once our daughters take their first cruise they will be begging us to take them on more, we will be PLATINUM status in no time.

Can't wait to correspond with other DISers who book this cruise. I'm thinking about doing the FE if someone organizes one for this cruise since our kids will be with us and I think they would enjoy it.

Hi we booked for Feb 11th 2012 :cheer2: while on the Disney Dream (2/13 and 2/17) B2B.

Can't wait to go on the MAGIC again, before it leaves Cape Canaveral :sad2:

I'm calling in the morning to book this one  So excited!!!

Our Cast of Characters:

Me - Debbie - I can be found on the Creative Community board in real life
DH - Ed - not on the DIS

We will be driving down from Delaware. This will be our 7th Disney Cruise.

Can't wait to "meet" everyone! :teeth:

Hi Cheryl :wave2:

 We are booked!!

Stateroom 7572 Late dining :teeth:

Hi Deb :)

We're in stateroom 6044 and have early dining. We're contemplating changing to late dining. I think late dining might be quieter?????

Hi Deb :)

We prefer late dining, and we did it when the kids were younger too. It gave time for a nap if needed (I took several naps on our last cruise... the sun and Senior Frogs got me :rotfl2:)

We get a snack around 5ish and have cocktails, then dinner at 830. I do think it's quieter. There are still kids melting down at late dinner, but not as many, and a bunch fall asleep right at the table, which my DH gets a big kick out of. :confused3

The only thing is you have to go to the early show in the theater. But we tend to skip them most days anyway.

DH and I talked about it and I'm gonna call the TA and see if we can change to late dining, I like naps when I'm on vacation ;)

Oh cool! They should be able to change it no prob. Maybe we will be on the same dining rotation :teeth:
