February 11, 2006 Roll Call

Thanks atakaratemom, that was helpful. I think after reading that thread i am going to try and talk my DH out of it. I want the day to be enjoyable not hearing" are we their yet, I'm tired, I'm bored." I would like to thank everyone for all the help and advice, I think I would be pulling my hair out if it wasn't for this board :goodvibes

Does anyone know what time the last tender is back to the Magic on Grand Cayman. I have a 1:45-3:45 excursion with Captain Marvin's booked. Is there enough time to get back to the ship, or should I book an earlier excursion?

Which leads me to another question... The excursion we picked on Cozumel is the ATV adventure (not thru DCL). I show that the ship departs Cozumel at 10:15pm, but what time do we need to get back to the ship before that? The adventure starts at noon and takes about 5 hours. I will ask this question as a new thread also. Thanks!

Hello All-

I too got up at the ridiculous hour of 3am to book on-line. Got Palo's for dinner on Thurs 2/16 (at sea). Of course no Valentine's Day. I'm pretty sure those must have gone fast...not bummed out though. Booked a couple's massage that ends 2 hrs before Palos...hope we don't fall asleep in our food. On Valentine'd Day booked the exotic rasul. The body mud, oils sounded ...ahem...fun!

Was hoping to get high tea booked but it wasn't showing up at all. I'm thinking they only allow so many on-line reservations anyway and keep other slots open for people who just don't deal with the internet.

Trying to figure out what excursions to do (if any) at Key West. Also need to decide on Castaway. Cap'n Marvin's and Dolphin Discovery were set quite a while ago (not through Disney).

Anyone up for trying to schedule a chat?

I just found this board last night and have not stopped reading all the great info available! I booked my family on this cruise back in early Oct. and it will be the first cruise for all of us. We are Cat 8 on deck 5. Would love some advise for a family of first timers. I have booked a few excursions but are quite limited to things to do with 4 years olds. Looking forward to getting to know those going on the same cruise!!!!!

Need to learn more about door signs, how the whole meal deal works, etc. Love to hear from all and send some guidance this way. Thanks.

Welcome Nofussruss,
We too are off on our first cruise ever. There is so much things to feel overwhelmed about isn't. Evevryone here is awesome and have made my trip planning sooo much easier. I have a four year old as well and know what you mean. We really wanted to do the stingray tour in Grand Caymen but daughter wasn't able. Lucky for us my mom said you guys go to that and her and I will go to see the butterflies. So it worked out well.

Hi everyone. Just giving our meet thread a bump. A chat sounds great. How would we go about doing that?

Hi All!
Looks like everyone did well with their ressies! Congrats! The Rasul is a blast! My DH and I have done it twice and have it booked for Monday! ;)
Dory, I don't know what you decided about Tulum... we went last time, it was really cool, but it is a long ride and alot of walking. It was also extremely HOT! (we were there in Feb last time too) So, if you have younger ones, it might make for a long day. Although when you're there it's amazing!!
A chat would be fun!! Anyone know how to set it up??

My husband and my nother in law are going to go to the ruins. I'm not sure what to do there. I was thinking of the dolphins but don't know if the kids would be too scared or not. Any suggestions for what to do there with a 4yr old and nine year old? I think a chat would be great but I don't know how to do it either.

I've looked into a chat and I'm not able to post a url here, so just click on my name NoFussRuss on the left in blue, then click on visit NoFussRuss's homepage! and it will take you to this chat room page. (If someone is able to post url's here then please post it for everyone!)

You will need to register and then we can create a public room called Magic.

All we need to do is agree on a date and time.

Leave
default rooms: Make your choice...

Then look to see
public rooms created by users: see if Magic is listed.

I'm sure this is how it works. If not we will figure it out. Hope this works for everyone.

NoFuss

I'm sorry to miss the chat. Everything is so hectic right now with all the holiday preparations. Maybe we can do it again in January.

Sorry I missed it too - likewise - things got too hecktic - Why not set up a date after the 1st of the year. Hopefully by then we only have to worry about packing!

I think I am going to start packing after the holidays! :goodvibes
Since I know that I am not needing hardly any of the clothes that I am taking.
What is everyone taking? I have no idea what the weather will be like. I figured that I would pack a lot of capri pants. Any idea of the weather during this time of year? We have always cruised late May.

In the new year sounds great. The packing situation is going to be interesting. My husband says when we go away for the weekend that I pack like it is for a week, this time we are packing for two weeks, I can't even imagine!! :rotfl: Does anyone know if there are limits as to how much you can bring?
