February 10, 2007 7-Day Western Who's coming?

OK...just so I can have someone to celebrate with...

My little sister called yesterday from Key West to tell me 1. That many of the guests on board the magic right now were drunk out of their minds by the lifeboat drill. One lady was making some kind of crazy scene at her station and then began high fiving everyone....yes, everyone...once it was over. Anyway, she said that they were then all off the ship in Key West getting MORE drunk yesterday. Must have been an interesting time come midnight!! I guess there are many people still sleeping it off in staterooms as I type this! LOL. BUT...MORE IMPORTANTLY...she got back the final confirmation that I am on the ship as her guest! WooHoo. I mean, we knew it was not going to be a problem, but it is still great to get the "official" word that I am on the list!! Now I just wait to find out if I get upgraded to a stateroom (which I am sure will happen as I don't think this sailing is going to sell out completely!)

Anyway, hope everyone is having a Happy New Year! It's almost time!!

...which reminds me, I better get back to listing stuff on ebay so I have some extra cash!!

Swimming suit? UGG! Put mine on tonight . . . what a scary sight . . . oh well. :confused3 I'll just have to stay in the water, right . . . no one can see when you are in the water?

Can't believe it is in a month . . .! Hope the shorts still fit :rolleyes1 Way to many cookies have made it past my mouth last month!

I'm starting to clean out the closet and put aside some things for the cruise. Wasn't planning on starting yet, but my side of the closet fell down on Christmas Eve! We suddenly heard a loud crash upstairs . . . When we went up to check it out, we found my side of the closet almost on the floor and a couple of nice holes in the wall where the wall anchors use to be . . . DH was not pleased . . . This will be the second time he has had to fix it . . . Seems to think I need to purge some of my clothes . . . :rolleyes1 Don't know why he would think that! Though as the good husband he is, he ran to Lowes and bought the strongest system they have for closets . . . Hopefully this one will work!

Have a great day everyone . . .

Well we are down to 30 days, to board. Hope everyone had a safe & happy holiday. :cheer2:

John - Don't scare me like that . . . . . . I forgot you are leaving before the rest of us . . . Not that seven more days it that much, but I'm going to need every minute to get everything in order . . . ! :)

When I was at the mall yesterday I bought the cutest grey flannels and blue blazers for my boys!! They look so cute in them... now I just need to sweettalk my MIL to hem them for me ;) Domestic Goddess I am not

Ofcourse that's the easy part.. next up - shopping for me. That's when I'll need all your support. Especially the bathing suit day :scared1:

Isn't it cute dressing the boys up . . . I found a vest and tie for DS. . . Hoping he will wear it . . . I can barely get a polo shirt on him for church as it is . . . though he picked out a tie for christmas day and wore it! (of course he had to wear it with his black micro fleece pants . . . couldn't get the dress pants on him . . . . though I think he just wanted to impress his uncle by dressing like him . . . :) Still hoping I can get him in a polo for dinner every night . . . . Something about the buttons . . . he dosn't like them!

Ok ladies . . . how many outfits do you plan to bring . . . what are you going to wear to dinner? I think I have something for formal and semi-formal, and possibly something for pirate night (thanks yankeegal64 for the idea about the ruffled shirt and gouchos . . . though I may just do black pants . . . ) If it is a dressier outfit, can I do a tank top for dinner? How cool is it for meals? Will I want sleeves?

Does anyone remember when the stores start putting out shorts . . .? DD went through her shorts and capri's over the weekend and has 1 pair of shorts that will fit and 2 capri's that fit . . . Maybe a few tops . . . . I'm almost afraid to buy anything she seems to be growing so fast . . . and at this point . . . on-line shopping for her is no good . . . she really needs to try things on . . .

:lmao: That's a funny story. At my house, that is more likely to happen to my DH though! I'm always cleaning out my closet - maybe it's because I buy the silliest trends that don't stand the test of time or that I keep growing:scared:
DH is pretty well the same size he was in high school so that adds up to about 20 years of collecting!!

Silly, trendy clothes - that reminds me of a big puffy ruffle shirt I wore in the early nineties! It cost me a fortune so it might be packed in a box downstairs. I'm going to look for that tonight - it would be perfect for Pirate Night! (although you'll probably all laugh at me to think I wore it with a straight face at some point of time!!)pirate:

LOL! One of mine spent a year wearing his socks inside out; something about the seam at the toe bugging him! argh! The other has a hole on the back neck of almost every shirt he owns because he has removed the tag (and the shirt) with a pair of scissors. Honestly, it's like a perfect square cut right out! I know - these are the things we will laught about one day.

I'm interested in responses here too.(For the grown ups and the kids) I should have taken advantage of the Boxing week sales for the formal wear but I keep kidding myself that I will be at least a size or two smaller by Feb 10th. Also I spent all my free time on this board!

I thought about online too - but same deal - My older DS really needs to try things on.

Congrats YenSid!! I imagine when the docs arrive, we'll have the same 'It's Really Happening!" feeling too.

Sens play Buffalo tonight!! I know there's the whole Sens/Leafs thing. But my absolute FAV team to play is Buffalo!! Goes back to the first year Sens made playoffs with Buffalo (and beat 'em, I think - sorry not a stat. girl).. Let's just say I want to remember we beat 'em) Anyway, it was all about Peca!! Man, I love to hate that guy!! He's great (if he's on your team, that is) Is he still in the NHL, do you know?

Oh yeah, he's still in the NHL. In fact he happens to play for the Leafs!! :rotfl: Unfortunately, and I really mean unfortunately, :sad1: he was injured a week or so ago and is out for a few months with broken bones in his leg. The Leafs are really missing him--he brought something to the team not many others in the Leafs organization can.

Should be a good game tonight. Sens have beaten the Sabres in all their meetings this year to date, something like 3 of the Sabres 7 losses. I have a feeling it will be a whole other game tonight!!!

That is hilarious!! :lmao: I have not been following hockey closely this (or last) year at all!! You must have thought I was joking or something!! (I wasn't) [looking for embarrassed smiley but can't find it]

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I just can't believe he plays for the leafs!! Since when?

Ouch..that game hurt. The Sabres have only lost 8 games this season--4 of them were against the Sens! What's up with that??!!?:confused3

LOL - both of my kids went through a stage where they would throw a fit when putting on socks . . . it was always the seam! Never thought of turning them inside out:rolleyes: . . . I just drove myself crazy trying to find socks without seams!!

They keep us hopping!

Boy can I relate to that . . . though I have been pretty good at encouraging him to purge things that he hasn't worn in several years! Oh course that doesn't work with me . . .you never know when that size will fit again . .. :upsidedow

My counter says 36 days . . . Doesn't seem real! To many things going on this month . . . Hardly a day without something going on . . . Can't seem to make it to the gym . . . What happened to all those great ideas? Oh well . . .

:cool1: I just love being able to say "We'll be cruising next month!!":cool1:

Just can't believe it.:scared1: I need to go back to the gym and fast. I want to buy myself a new bathing suit and I don't think anything is going to look good on me right now :sad2:. I usually like to be organized a few weeks in advance. This year besides Palo reservations nothing is done. I have to begin planning excursions and clothes very soon. The fun begins ....

I'm also a big hockey fan (even though I haven't been watching it a lot this year). Being from the Montreal area my team is and always has been the Montreal Canadians. The're doing great this season :thumbsup2 Hope it continues :goodvibes
