The count down has started....you signed up at the perfect time!

I'm so looking forward to some warmer weather...this cold is so depressing!

Today I have my son looking for our 2-way radios. And hopefully by the end of the week, I will all done packing and finalizing my shopping list.

I think the most part I'm looking forward to is shopping duty free!!!

Haven't started PACKING?! WHAT?! I began weeks ago!

Since I know my DH and I won't have any use for warm weather clothes here in Ohio anytime soon (yes, MickeyMagic, we're getting some of that blizzard-like weather here too this week) I've already started putting shorts, tank tops, swim suits in the luggage. Obsessive...yes that's me!

Nice one. You not that excited, isn't it? Good for you.

Ok, ya'll - I am getting VERY annoyed!!!

All this SNOW and blizzard warnings and below zero temps are really making me FRUSTRATED! Mostly because I need to make a quick trip to Micheal's for the supplies I need for my FE gifts. The closest Micheal's is a 45 minute drive to Toledo from where I live out in what-used-to-be cornfields - but are now snowmobile highways - farmin' country Ohio.

I continually look at pics of Castaway Cay and lay in front of my fireplace and close my eyes to pretent I'm lying in the sun on the beach...but that's just not working for me right now!

If I could at least start my FE gifts that would help me out of my funk...

(And this goll darned sinus infection isn't helping either!)

What's a girl to do?!

We are counting down the days. Sorry that everyones weather is so bad. The weather here in Florida has been great just some rain today but we needed it.The cold is coming down from the north. But soon we will all be sitting in the sun..... I wanted to ask if any could tell me how to make the magnets for the doors or where to have them made. This is also our first Disney cruise but not our frist cruise.I booked a shore excursion for Nassau and think we will rest at castaway cay we will see.Just keep thinking about having a great time and warm weather...... D&A

Checked my res online and still assigned cat 12 GTY. I read a thread where someone got upgraded to a Cat 9 and then got reassigned again to cat 12 GTY (although since then they have again been upgraded to Cat 9). I would really be bummed if I saw an upgrade and then had it taken away again!

Well, it's been below zero since Monday and will stay there until at least Friday. Tonight is the coldest yet. I think it is supposed to get down to 21 below zero with windchill warnings from -35 to -45 degrees. And I get to stand at the bus stop in the morning. Yikes!! I suppose all this weather will be going to the East after this, so get prepared for some bone-chilling cold! We are supposed to get a break over the weekend and then up to 30 above next week. That will seem like a heat wave!!

So, time to start concentrating on the cruise. I did my online check-in today. But, my printer ran out of ink so I still need to print the docs.

Did we get a final tally for FE?

It's freezing here too! Did my docs today....but I needed a hand holding from Wendy....I'm too dense for this stuff. I'm hoping mom is done with my FE...I'm dying to look at it!

Hey cruise family!

Ok, I'm officially out of my winter-blues-slump. I think it might have had to do with those cursed three letters that tend to come around on a regular basis...catch my drift?!

Wendy, you received a postcard from Mickey? I am so jealous!

One ray of hope that helped me out of my slump is that tomorrow I actually have time after class to stop in at JoAnne's and pick up my supplies for my FE!

Now I just need to get on the ball about all ya'll's FE gifts!

Coming out of the deep freeze... we may get above zero today after being there since Monday. Wahoo! By next week, the weatherman tells me it will feel about 70 degrees warmer than it has the last two mornings. Temp -21 and windchills of -42. We are supposed to hit the 30's (above zero!) next week, so barring any big windchills with the 30's, it should feel like a heat wave!!!

This means I have to get out this weekend and do some cruise-related things! I need to see if my DD wants to make the FE (she is much more creative than I am). If she does, we'd better get some supplies so she can get started. She has Monday off for MLK holiday, so that would probably work well.

I should start thinking about buying things to put in the FE, but I don't know how many to buy. Do we have a rough estimate yet?

I might just have to look and see if any spring clothes are showing up in the stores yet. I need a pair of comfortable dress shoes, but I haven't found any yet. I really don't want to spend much on them because I would wear them so rarely. Although, I might be better just buying some good ones and having them. Instead, I seem to buy a new pair every cruise because the pair from the previous cruise hurt my feet.

No docs or room assignment for me yet.

5 weeks from today, I will be leaving for WDW and our cruise!!!! I want the next couple weeks to fly by and at least get me into February. Then the days get noticably longer (as far as daylight) and the sun starts feeling warmer!!

Anyone done the Nature Hike and Kayak excursion in Castaway Cay? We are thinking about it, but we have never kayaked. Is it hard to do? A leisurely day at the beach might be a good alternative! Or maybe we will bring our snorkelling gear and go look for that hidden Mickey, or I think it is Minnie now?

I'm waiting for the heatwave too! 22 degrees ABOVE zero tomorrow!!! WHEW!!

Sue should be bringing me my FE tomorrow...I hope! I want to see what it looks like. I have no idea (kinda) what i want to give out as gifts.

Tomorrow is printing out the door signs, making/filling the goodie bags.

We are at 22 participants in the FE exchange.
I am going to send out the updated list.

Anyone done the Nature Hike and Kayak excursion in Castaway Cay? We are thinking about it, but we have never kayaked. Is it hard to do? A leisurely day at the beach might be a good alternative! Ha- finally something I know about!!! As this is our first cruise...ever...I've just been taking in all the info!

Although I obviously haven't done the Castaway Cay Nature Hike/Kayak excursion- I have kayaked and it is very easy and fun. A great way to get a different perspective...and quiet too! No smelly, noisy boat engine.

I was contemplating doing that excursion too but decided since this is our first time at Castaway Cay- I didn't want to be locked into a specific time commitment. We might do the bike rental to go out to the tower for something different but we can do that on our own time rather than being confined to the excursion. That does sound like a fun one though!

Oh...and as for cold....it was -20 at our house this morning!!!!! No more please!!!!

Still need names on the fish extender (which is cute as heck!)
and signs for our door.
And put together the bags with our Mardi Gras goodies.
I really should start packing soon...or least start finding the stuff!

I'm waiting for hubby (the photoshop expert) to wake up so I can put him to work on the door signs.

In the meantime, I'm scrapbooking more pics from our last trip in October. I wanted to get them all done before the next trip, but that's not going to happen...not when I take 100's of pics!

Spending the day scrapbooking, doing laundry and directing hubby on the door signs...all while dreaming of lying on the beach...hard to do when there is a foot of snow right outside my door!

disneydarling07 - you have been very busy!!! I talked to DD and she is too busy with school and her Girl Scout Gold award project to have time to make the FE, so I went ahead and ordered one on e-bay. Right after that, I found a thread about how some of the FE's are being stolen or torn down! Oh gosh, I sure hope that doesn't happen to my new FE!!!

I did start a list of what types of clothes I would need for each day of my trip. From there, I can figure out how many of each thing I need. But that's as far as I got on that.

Does anyone know offhand which night of our cruise will be formal (or dress up) night and which one will be Pirate night? We requested the late dinner for this cruise as it seems to work best for us.

Who is staying at WDW before the cruise? Right now we are staying at BWV. I am trying to change to BCV, but no luck so far. I am toying with the idea of changing to the Poly. I guess I better decide pretty soon, so I can get it straight with DCL where I will be. I don't want to miss the bus to port!!! Does anyone know what time the hotel pick-ups are? At one time, I think they offered a pick up at AKL so that you could spend the morning in the park. Anyone know anything about that?

With every passing day, we are a little closer to our WONDERful cruise!!!

We are staying at the Poly before the cruise. We arrive on the 19th.
NOt sure exactly which resorts have bus pickup.
Pirate night is the same day we go to Castaway Cay.
That's about all I know for sure.

I really want to finish up our door signs today, but this darn laundry is getting in the way! lol
