My DH is bringing his tux and as an anniversary gift I bought him Mickey cufflinks, a mickey cumberbun/bow tie and a mickey vest/bow tie. They are too cute. I can't wait to see him in it.

We stay in also- we make all kinds of fun finger foods and play games. We bought the Dread Pirate game at WDW last May. Stashed it away till Christmas. We have a fiend and her son coming tonight for a pj party.
We are going to play this game!!! It looks very involved I hope the boys can hang in there!!

31 days till we fly out!!!

Hello everyone!

We're a party of five from Maryland, myself, DH, DD 11, DD 8, and DD 6. This is our second Disney Cruise. Did the Western two years ago thinking it would be a "once in a lifetime" and were instantly addicted! We're flying down Saturday and should make it to ship by 12pm.

I'm interested in having my girls make friends pre-cruise. Especially my oldest, Olivia, who will have just turned 11 at cruise time. My youngest, who's 6, is the extremely shy and separation-anxiety ridden type and is already balking at the prospect of going to the kids club without knowing anybody (DH and I have both Palo and spa reservations so at least twice she will have no choice). I'm considering signing the 8-y-o, Beth, up for the younger age kids club to keep them together. Oh, what to do, what to do.....

TripleL, like your daughter, during our last cruise my daughter wasn't at all interested in hanging at the clubs b/c she felt like she didn't know anybody. Perhaps we could have our girls exchange them emails?

Tjeagle, good to see another Marylander will be onboard! We're from Westminster near the PA border. Are you guys by any chance Ravens fans? We're huge fans and pretty excited at the prospect of possibly having them make it all the way to the SuperBowl and getting to watch the game on the new Jumbotron.

Funny to read many others do the big reveal as an Xmas surprise. We did the same. Hardest thing I ever did was keep my mouth shut!! (Almost blew it on several occasions.) I bought us all different colored, matching Disney t-shirts and saved them for the very last present, which we opened at the same time. My oldest DD was so happy she actually cried!! I think it will go down in history as their best surprise ever.

I can't believe we're only a month away!

Well it is a beautiful new years day here in Nor CAL. I'm not a heavy college football fan, so DD and I are taking down the christmas lights from out side while the weather is nice. Then going shopping for cruise wear and a very warm coat, hmm you say a warm coat something that both are going to hard to find. Well read forward if you have the time, if not HAVE a HAPPY NEW YEAR and see you in a little over a month



Although my 2006 went out very sorrowfully an older friend that was sort of like a second mother to me and grandmother to my DD They lived next door to me for the 1st 16 years of my DD life and their family lived in a small farming community in southern MN so she didn't get to see her grandchildren must she has over dozen. She and her husband then returned back to MN about 6 years ago. Well, I awoke yesterday at 5am to a phone call that she had past away as they were preparing to go to a MN Viking game.

So yesterday was very busy getting a flight out at a resonable price. For some reason it is very expensive to get a flight from Sac CA to Minni. MN. it was looking like $1K oh gosh that was a lot, but with playing with the dates to leave and return I got one for $260 to go see the family, never have I gotten one so cheap. I have a longer flight because I have to go though Dallas, because NW straight though flight as $800. I couldn't afford that because of our pending DCL trip.

So I will be leaving sunny CA to go to very cold and snowy now, MN on Wednesday. Mind you. where I live we rarely get snow in the central valley maybe every 5 to 6 years and it barely last a few hours, but don't get me wrong we do get below freezing here, but it just doesn't snow. So I am very worried about having to drive in the snowy areas. Last night they said they had 4in of snow and the wind was blowing it all over. The forcasts say that its not supposed to snow while I'm there for the 6 days this week.

So I will really be ready for our vacation on a very warm cruise and some wonderful relaxation.

Well, I better get to helping my DD get the light down so we can go shopping for cruisewear and a very warm winter coat, I don't have one that will work for the temps of the teens only a short leather motorcycle coat as all my other coats can deal with the low 40's well wish me luck.

We ordered our green wrist bands. hope to get them in a couple days, thanks for the link. We will be meeting the rest of you at Captian Mickey on Deck 3 @ 3


Look out DCL here we come only 33 days left. Hey to 33's deck 3 @ 3 in 33 days that is a sign 33 does anyone know what disney item I am refering to? anyone?

Vic....we all have Pirate T-shirts and eye patches. I bought DH a "puffy" shirt at Walmart at Halloween, but he has put his foot down and refuses to wear it (but I am sure if I pack it and play "but it's my birthday" game, I may get him to put it on......well, maybe not, but a girls gotta try!!
Welcome LisaPisa! We are in Easton MD on the Eastern Shore. We'd love to watch the Ravens on the ship! Not big football fans most of the year...but we love the Superbowl....especially if the Ravens are playing! My DD is 8, PM me if you'd like to have the girls email!

We also have pirate tshirts and hoodies depending on the weather. Eye patches also. I can't believe it's only 33 days away. I have been buying so much Disney stuff and throwing it in a bin, that I don't even know what I have anymore. I think my next move is to inventory. I'm just so excited, I can't help myself.

Anybody with plans to have a gift in the room If so, what are your ideas? Also, is anyone making magnet signs for the stateroom door? If so, how do you do it. I think I'd like to try, but I'm not very computer literate.

Hi LisaPisa!

We are also going on the Feb 3rd cruise and we live in Ellicott City. My daughter will be almost 11 when we cruise. Our last DCL adventure was in April 06 and my little one threw up during the lifeboat drill all over her life jacket and then her friend from the kids club started bad mouthing her to the other girls about 4 days into the cruise. Safe to say she didn't have the vacation of her dreams. She is really looking forward to this trip.
My other daughter is 12 and is can't wait to get back on board. This will be our 3rd Disney cruise, the second time for the Eastern itinerary.
My parents have cruised with us each time and we were looking forward to having my brother and his family join us but they backed out right before final payment was due. But we are looking forward to a great time.

Just read on the Forum that someone talked to a CM who told them the rest of 2008 dates will be opening in 3 weeks...BEFORE our trip! Good news (or rumor as it may) for anyone thinking of re booking!! Gotta think ahead! I figure if I have another cruise to look forward to, I won't crash into DCL withdrawal after this one!
