Good Morning all!! Thanks for the help. We were debating wether to bring our own towels or not.I would rather use theirs and not worry about it!
My son is off school today YEAH!!! But I an't get any packing done with him home:) We are doing the tram thingy in St. Thomas in the afternoon. I would like to do some serious shopping on both islands.
We have a Macy's here, and I thought about going there but after a great find at Pennys I decided what I don't know won't hurt me!!
By the way its 22 here, but winter is finally here. Its supposed to stay in the teens and snow a bit!

I don't have a great reason...I hear it is less crowded and not as naked as Orient....It was recommended by someone here...Tracy I think?? and my dentist (as she finished up my gazillion dollar root canal and crown!!)
Off to work! Don't have too much fun without me!..
Someone should be hitting our 1000th post sometime today!!

Morning Dora!!

We are planning on going to Le Galion beach with the kids, they're 5 & 3. It's on the french side, but great for preschoolers. I found out about it on cruisecritic.

Sorry I've been away for so long but I spent last night trying to find my driveway and sidewalk under over a foot of snow. We had a couple of bad multiple car pile-ups on I-79 and I-90.

We're docking at Phillipsburg, gmark2000.

I changed my signature to include us in this group of free spirits!:hippie:

Way to go on the 2000th post. TJ!!! (My new nickname for you.)

I ordered wrist bands early last week and because of weather problems they say my order was delayed and I should get them no later than next Wednesday!!!:sad2: Can someone who has extras hold a couple for us just in case? I promise to post as soon as they get here.

Thanks in advance!!!:thumbsup2

I just got off the phone with Shirley from theperfectgift.cc - I'm getting the kids a basket each with sand pails/toys and disney themed towels and balloons. I think it will be a nice treat for when they get to the room.

Hey Gary and Gail - I was thinking of you when I saw the 50 car pile-up on I90 in the paper this morning. Glad to hear you are safe and sound - even if you are buried in snow. We used to live in Western NY...all too familiar w/ the joy of winter around there!! Stay warm!

those are going to be great treats.. for the kiddos..

So I want to see the airplanes up close, my wife wants to go shopping and the kids... heck, probably go to one of the beaches. Oh well, we'll figure it out.

BTW, top part of the island is St. Martin (French) and the bottom half is St. Maarten (Dutch/Netherlands). Here is a brief history: http://www.st-maarten.com/introduction.htm

Q: Did anyone find one of those cheap over the door shoe pockets for the cruise??? None of the dollar stores up here has them... I only found a $13 vinyl one.

Q: Did you you read that there's no unlimited internet option in the internet café now?? How many of you are bringing a laptop?

Just ckecking in to say hey. Hey. A week from today, at this very moment, we will be driving to the airport.

As I posted earlier, we are thinking about the eastbound repo. Posted over there, got taken in by a bunch of pirates pirate: pirate: pirate: and haven't been able to get out to check on the Happy and Laid Back group. Figured it was best to give a shout out here before checking to see how many pages they added since I left work last night--I am a little scared. :scared1:

I can't wait to meet you all in just a few short days. Looking forward to a Happy and Laid Back cruise.

Nicholas

P.S.--Jackie, congratulations on 1,000. :cheer2:

Congrats on your documents, vic! We're in the home stretch now.

Nicholas - that eastbound repo thread is crazy! I was lurking there while we're considering booking, but I'm scared to post for fear I'll never get out. I figure I'm better concentrating on one cruise and thread at a time - or I'll never get packed!

gmark - our dollar store has some (or it did a while ago!). I'll be out tomorrow and can look if they still have one, if you need it. Let me know.

I'm off to volunteer at the kids' school library. Read you all after school!

I hadn't read about the internet cafe. I have taken my laptop in the past and will do so this time--can't stop from at least checking emails in the morning. I have used the ship's wireless and other than making sure you actually sign off each time (shutting down the computer does not log you out!!) it worked really well. I would much rather be sitting up on 9 or 10 checking emails and finding out just how cold it is back home :rotfl2: than being in the internet cafe.

I can understand, however, if you are going to spend quite a bit of time on the internet that the unlimited option would be great. KI think there is a post in here somewhere that might have the wireless packages listed--can't remember if there is an unlimited wireless option.

It was just posted in the main forum that the Wonder stopped unlimited Internet access this week and apparently according to the staff the magic stops this weekend. The largest package is 250 minutes at $75.

Okay, whoever can get me one of those clear plastic over the door shoe organizers from a dollar store, I will be indebted!

I'll get it off of you at the 3pm meet.

Our 1$ store had some the other day. Holds 8 sets. If anyone needs some let me know.
DCL- Katrina destroyed the place we got married in NO:sad1:
And everywhere we ever lived or worked or played in Biloxi gone:sad1:
I have family that still lives there, north of I-10.
They hardly ever go to the HWY90 area, it's starting to come back but is still
basically destroyed.
Its really sad, it took a long time to come back from Camille, and then here comes Katrina. But I am sure they will come back faster this time:goodvibes
