Just wanted to try out my new signature as part of the laid back group. I'm going to JC Penny tommorow. To try and find something. Quenby I'm with you. Nothing fits, so now it's time to buy more. I have also been buying more and more for my son and DH. Tommorow it's my turn.

DH and I are just discussing whether or not to bring our own wine. THe wine list is pretty good and the prices are not too bad, but we have so much at home and it almost seems a shame to not bring what we already have.

It sounds like we will have many meets during this cruise and I am looking forward to all of them. Can't wait to meet you all.

Ok, that's just gross lol i really don't know how they can determine if a corkscrew is in your checked baggage.the girl at disney told me they xray it before it goes onto the ship.i'd read the same thing that gmark had read.. but, then it was posted that you can indeed bring cork screws.. or get one from your room steward... methinks $$$ talks..doesn't it always!!

Question......or two or three.....I know you can have your clothes pressed once on board but how long does it take to get them back? Is it same day service? How much is it?

Can you tell I don't want to iron???????

I'm not sure of the cost.. but, i think it's same service.. i think the cost is reasonable.. i usually take the downy wrinkle release.. and we have a portable steamer..

djarhansen::: I sent my formal dresses for pressing on our 1st cruise we got them the next day just before dinner, was a little close but that year formal night was Sunday night. This year because of Superbowl I believe that it is going to be Monday night. At least that is what they did on our 1st Superbowl sunday cruise we took 2 years ago. Any way the cost was about 7-8 dollars each. Kinds of high for needing something just steam pressed. They didn't dry clean the. The price for drycleaning was nearly the same.

WeloveDCL:::As for the portable steamer, where did you get one and how big is it?

FYI, my dd and I are all packet and the bags are setting in the living room ready to go. Well we ended up with 1 - 28inch pullman(not all the way full but almost mine with both our formal and semi formal dresses plus my regular clothing) 1- 25inch pullman DD stuff; 1- 22 inch pullman that has 4 pairs of shoes, blow dryer(don't like the ones on the ship) curling iron for me, hair straightner from my daughter, I know, I have straight hair and she has curly hair are we never pleased. So it is kind of emty. Oh yeah it also has my magic bullet blender the most important part . It will probably become our day bag. We have only one carry on that has my laptop, have to bring it to download all our pictures and my camera and our pocket books. So we are heavery than planned but much lighter than in past years for a 12 day vacation and different weather levels. Florida in the cool with potential rain and Carribean in the warm cycle.

Hey you need to check out Macy if you have one in the area. I got my two formal and semi formal dresses there. Formal retailed at 188.00 got it for 49.00 Black and white beaded top semiformal 129.00 got it for 25.00 short simple black crepe back satin. So check out Macy too if you don't find anything at JCPenny. Good luck, sometimes the best things come last min.


Can't wait on the blue diamonds in St Thomas.

For previouse DCL travelers, are they still having the CC cocktail party? Will it be an invitation? I went through DVC and booked with points and they didn't ask about my CC number. If anyone knows anything let me know.

1 week from today we will be getting ready to head to the airport!!

We have all cruise prep activities this weekend (in between 2 hockey games and gymnastics of course!!)...pedicure...shopping ...and finally, I will move the piles of clothing and stuff into the suitcases!!!

For some reason I have the craving to got to JCPennys and Kohls.....don't know why!! (and I do know Belk!! We lived on the Outer Banks of NC for 4 years)

So I am off to start my day......it is 9 degrees here! I think I heard the wind chill is close to 0 degrees.......brrr!

ANYONE ELSE CELEBRATING A BIRTHDAY OR EVENT?? I HAVE HEARD FROM A FEW, I NEED THE INFO FOR THE WED. NIGHT BIRTHDAY BASH!!

Vic, just in case you didn't get an answer, yes they have towels available to take ashore. Actually, Disney is great about this. I just did Carnival last month and you have to use your sign and sail card to use a towel, even at the pool. If you don't return it by midnight or whenever you get charged like $24.99. I spent half my trip worrid about my towel!
Disney has tons of towels up by the pools, just grab some before you get off the boat. When you get back on they have big laundry carts at the door, you just drop off your towel, no carrying around wet towels!

it is a balmy 27 degrees in Tupelo, Mississippi..

yay, at least you've heard of belks.. i think they are in the same family of Macy's (someone is always buying someone).. i just need another pair of jean capri thingys and i'd like another swimsuit.. i'm done with dd.. got her cinderella dress in the mail yesterday.. her pirate costume should arrive today or tomorrow.. and she is set.

dh is set.. and i have to get a pedicure.. thinking about a spray on tan.. so i won't be so flaming white.. and i've been too lazy to crank up the ole tanning bed.. i'm really blinding white right now.. i'm doing this for y'all..

so my question of the day.. besides hitting up joksters jewelry store.. what is everyone doing on St. Marteen? we can't get an answer back from shoretrips.com and even if that doesn't fall through.. we'll still have some time to kill.

Good morning from NY where it is a whopping 4 degrees (feels like -15 outside with the windchill). Winter took a long while to get here this year, but it's definitely arrived. SOOOO looking forward to soaking up some sun next week!!

In St. Maarten we are either going to A) take a taxi to Little Divi Bay Beach if the weather is nice or 2) Stay on the ship and enjoy the day with fewer people (if weather isn't great).

I have been using a "tan in a can" if you will! It is a white lotion, forget the brand. It is working nicely! The only problem is that my palms have a orange tint to them (I missed the part of the directions that stressed washing hands well after applying ) Being in the health care field...my co workers have been trying to diagnose my orange palm illness, they think they are cute!...Diagnose away I say!! I'll be taking my orange palms on a cruise in 8 days!!!!

I don't have a great reason...I hear it is less crowded and not as naked as Orient....It was recommended by someone here...Tracy I think?? and my dentist (as she finished up my gazillion dollar root canal and crown!!)
