How busy is WDW Feb 6-12? I just changed my dates. I heard that people go there for Mardi Gras. Is this true? We went last year Feb 1-7 th last year and it was slow. Is it going to be real busy 6-12th? AHHHHH!

We will be there Feb 4th to the 12th. Many schools in La. are out during the week of Feb 7th through Feb 11th. Fat Tuesday is Feb 8th. There are a lot of us escaping to WDW.

Were going Feb 6-10 and I heard those days are really good and slow times too. I heard it's after that week when Presidents week is. Now I'm confused and worried too?
Any other ideas about this time of year?

I'll be there February 6-13th. I'm expecting it to be a bit more crowded than that week last year because of Mardi Gras, but I still think it will be much less crowded than many other times of year. Early February still won't be the "week of choice" for most people to vacation I don't think, and with the exception of Louisiana there aren't any other school vacations then. We'll be fine! I'm looking forward to hearing all those Louisiana accents...or will it be ME with the accent? LOL :teeth:

We're going Feb 6-11th and have heard a lot about the Louisiana crowds. But I figure these are the people looking to avoid the crazy drunkeness of New Orleans Mardi Gras and just getting away with the family. I mean if you really wanted to celebrate Mardi Gras I would stay in Louisiana KWIM. I'm not too worried. I'd be more concerned with avoiding the cheerleaders!!!

Not that there's anything wrong with cheerleaders but in mass quantities :Pinkbounc :hyper: :Pinkbounc :hyper: :Pinkbounc :hyper: :Pinkbounc

We were there at the same time last year, and though the Mardi Gras "escapees" weren't there, the cheerleaders were. We never had a problem with them. We did see them in large groups in the parks sometimes, but they were well-behaved...just wouldn't want to end up in line behind so many people, lol. ;)

Hi, there! My family has gone to WDW the last few times the 1st & 2nd weeks of February and there have never been crowds--it was great! At EPCOT and the Magic Kingdom we were allowed to stay on rides like Test Track & Big Thunder Mountain and go around and around as many times as we liked without disembarking!!! The kids loved it!! FastPass was not necessary! At the Animal Kingdom we did grab a FastPass at the Kilimanjaro Safari and then got in the regular line--took less than 10 minutes to get on the ride!! When we got off it was our FastPass time and just walked on and took the ride again!!

We love this time of year in Florida and are going back on the 9th of February--highly recommend this time of year (we're coming from Maine where it's well, well, well below zero and even if it's in the 60s in Florida is a tropical paradise for us!!! (February 2004 the weather was in the 80s!!!) We totally lucked out!

Hope this info helps with your decision!!
