Feb 7 2010 4 Night Bahamas

It was so fun to meet those of you who were at the meet. I loved getting to put faces with names. I even ran into goodfaerie at the MK after the cruise. Congrats to Tara who won a shipboard credit from DVC--hope you got to spend it on something fun! Kelsiesmommy, were your girls so excited to see you? It was fun to run into you in Nassau.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the FE swap. DD and my niece had so much fun with the gifts and some of them were great bribes to get DD through dinner or the shows. I feel like we got a bit spoiled. There were so many fun ideas, I just love seeing what people come up with.

Hope everyone had a good time and a safe trip home. This was our 6th DCL cruise and the seas were pretty rough that last night. We went to a Castaway Club reception earlier that day and talked with the captain. He mentioned that we were currently sailing South East to help with the wind and waves, but that later in the night we'd have to turn around and it would get rough. He said as we crossed the gulf stream the waves would be around 14 feet so they were trying to do most of the rolling as we were sleeping--sounds like a lot of us felt that. I had a hard time sleeping with all that rocking and rolling, but at least it was just that night and not the whole cruise.

Although I would have preferred warmer weather, the 70s on the islands were nice. It was sure cold as we said goodbye to the Wonder, but it was still better than back home.

I'm hoping to get around to a trip report, but it won't be for a week or two. I noticed that Billinaz has posted a photo trip report over on the trip report section.

What's crazy, is that we didn't think the ship was rocky at all. We've been on 2 other cruises (Carnival and Royal Caribbean) and this cruise was the calmest of all. We slept like babies Wednesday night. I guess what they say is true, the lower your deck the less rocky. Book on Deck 2 next time....we hardly felt a thing.

So, the Disney Dream Ship sets sail next February for 3 and 4 night cruises. What are the chances Disney will offer the Kids Sail Free offer again??? I so want to book again, but can't afford it w/o the discount.

We were on deck 2, aft. It wasn't too bad, but it was a lot more rough that last night compared to the other days of the cruise. As it got later at night, it got more rough.

I wouldn't be surprised if DCL offers Kids Sail Free again in the future, but I definitely wouldn't count on it being offered on the Dream anytime soon. They do it to help fill up the ship and I think that the Dream is going to be in high demand and high capacity for a while. Time will tell.

it was so GREAT to meet everyone! We had such a great time running into people, and the FE gifts were awesome! Was so fun seeing Shauna at MK! (That line for Big Thunder was FOREVER!)

Turned out Meg and Carl were assigned to our table for dinner! That was a very nice surprise! Looking forward to reading trip reports. I have some pics, but can't figure out how to upload them...LOL

I've already booked another Disney vacation at WL with my mom for the fall...just love that mouse!

Hugs to all!

Thanks to all for the wonderful FE gifts. My grandchildren were thrilled with everything and I enjoyed all the gifts as well. Our first Disney cruise went very well and think we might try it again. We booked a cruise for next Feb. on the Dream while we were on-board just for the two of us, but all the kids are begging to go with us!!

We are here at Disney until March 20th and the crowds are wild this week. I hope next week slows down. Still pretty cool, especially for this time of the year, but at least the rain has slowed down. Of course back home in St. Louis, is downright freezing!!

Thanks again for all your help in making this trip so wonderful. Would be great to cruise with you all again.

We had a wonderful first cruise. Already planning the next one, a seven day of course. We really enjoyed participating in the FE exchange. Thank you for all the effort everyone put into it. Look forward to meeting you on the boards.

Shauna-

The girls were happy to have us home, my oldest especially since it was her birthday :) My 5 year old, however, when asked if she missed us replied that she didn't miss us, she was having too much fun! :) LOL

If anyone's interested- I started my trip report and have posted a bit so far :) Pics included!
