It was so fun to meet those of you who were at the meet. I loved getting to put faces with names. I even ran into goodfaerie at the MK after the cruise. Congrats to Tara who won a shipboard credit from DVC--hope you got to spend it on something fun! Kelsiesmommy, were your girls so excited to see you? It was fun to run into you in Nassau.
Thanks to everyone who participated in the FE swap. DD and my niece had so much fun with the gifts and some of them were great bribes to get DD through dinner or the shows. I feel like we got a bit spoiled. There were so many fun ideas, I just love seeing what people come up with.
Hope everyone had a good time and a safe trip home. This was our 6th DCL cruise and the seas were pretty rough that last night. We went to a Castaway Club reception earlier that day and talked with the captain. He mentioned that we were currently sailing South East to help with the wind and waves, but that later in the night we'd have to turn around and it would get rough. He said as we crossed the gulf stream the waves would be around 14 feet so they were trying to do most of the rolling as we were sleeping--sounds like a lot of us felt that. I had a hard time sleeping with all that rocking and rolling, but at least it was just that night and not the whole cruise.
Although I would have preferred warmer weather, the 70s on the islands were nice. It was sure cold as we said goodbye to the Wonder, but it was still better than back home.
I'm hoping to get around to a trip report, but it won't be for a week or two. I noticed that Billinaz has posted a photo trip report over on the trip report section.
What's crazy, is that we didn't think the ship was rocky at all. We've been on 2 other cruises (Carnival and Royal Caribbean) and this cruise was the calmest of all. We slept like babies Wednesday night. I guess what they say is true, the lower your deck the less rocky. Book on Deck 2 next time....we hardly felt a thing.
