Feb. 7, 2008 3 night wonder...Anyone???

I have made bags of the goodies, so I can give them out all at once...It just takes too long otherwise! I really don't have a preference when to give them out, but I would say dont wait until the last night because then the kids wont have much time to enjoy...and your bags have to be packed and outside your door by 11pm...So I would say delivery them on day 1 and 2..and the 3rd night don't...also most people pull magnets and fish extenders off the doors at that point also!

I agree with the plan but then also agree with Tinks - there are quite a few of us trading gifts and as long as some of us do it the first night the kids should be cool!!! Having to take down by 11pm on the last night kinda of puts a stop to that one.
So how about we will do our 'gift giving' on the first night to help start that one off . . .

Good point abt the last night....ok..next time book a 4 night cruise !!!lol

I would like to be first night too, so I will have more "room" in my room! lol

We'll take Thursday.

to London Couple - have a safe trip! Hope to see you Saturday...less than a week - can you believe it????

Sounds like first night is a winner. As long as the stuff we ordered comes in on time. (I'm sure it will. Think positive.) We can do mostly first night as well. When is Pirate night?? (Argh!)

Like everyone else, I'd like to clean out our room as well. We'll just be getting stuff from the rest of you to fill it back up!! Should be a lot of fun!:woohoo:

Jon

Wellllll it sounds like everyone is doing first night! So maybe we should do second? You guys just tell me what to do.
Isn't the 2nd night pirate night?

Well out of 6 of us that are doing Fish Extenders 5 have put down for the 1st night. In order to make sure the balance is not too far one way we will move to the 2nd night and I will attempt to talk DisneyBride into moving to the 2nd night as well!!!
That way we have 3 doing the 1st night and 3 doing the second night!!!

Does that sound ok to everyone??

Ladies..(ok men too if you want to play)

How many shoes are you bringing??

Who will win the Imelda Marcos award for this cruise?! lol

My count is at 5...
*Dressy sandal/slide
*casual slide (sport/water/beach)

Dh says too many...
*flip flops
*tennis shoes
*top siders

However...I will be wearing one pair of shoes during travel, so technically, its only 4!!

tinks....was it you....or someone offered to get water for us? Our thread is way too long now to go looking.....anyway, Marge from wegoshop is delivering some items for us the day before:)
*we dont need water anymore, thanks*

And most importantly our Captain Morgan Rum and limes:)

so what night am I doing F.E.D.?

First I'm sorry but we won't do fish extenders - first because I don't really understand them but secondly, I know I don't have time. I have to work M-W-F this week and am babysitting T-Th. We leave Sat. A.M. to travel to Omaha, NE where we will fy out Sun. morning early.
A little bit more about us:
My husband, Dan, 56, is a redhead with a beard (turning white but don't tell him I said that). He works as a manager of a glass shop. I (Teresa) am 52, a blonde, and I work as a dietitian. Our two DD who are coming with us are Anne (18) who is a Filipina so she is a brunette, and Callie (15 almost 16!) who is a red head. We always joke that not many men (Dan) get to have a blonde, brunette , and redhead in their life. This is a first trip to Disneyworld and first cruise for the girls. We have two grown boys (Jon-25 who is in major seminary to be a Catholic priest) and (Nate -23 who is a recent graduate of the Air Force Academy and is now serving as a 2nd Lt./Physicist at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque.)
I have been having great fun using the Unofficial Guide and the Passporter to plan our trip. We have lots of fun ahead. The last time we were there was when Jon and Nate were 8 and 10 and we had a land/sea on the Big Red Boat (Premiere line)
Hopefully we will run into some of you on the ship if not before!
Safe travels everyone!

Okay- need a little clarification.....are you suppose to deliver the goodies late so that they are in the pocket and there when you wake up? Or just randomly throughout the day?

My and DH are a couple of "weenies" when it comes to staying up late.....rarely awake past 10pm! (lame, I know) We do stretch it out a bit while on vacation, but I don't know that I can outlast everyone to try to sneak it in when you are sleeping!

And now that I have said I would take Thurs (when I meant Fri) and have confused everyone - I would like to deliver my stuff Friday during the day....we're not leaving the ship and I thought that would be a good time to go hunting the staterooms.:thumbsup2

Does anyone have a spreadsheet with the days on it?? JUST KIDDING!:rotfl:

I definitely WON'T win this one! I absolutely HATE shoe shopping and will wear a pair until they fall apart while I am walking!

I'll have a pair of tennis shoes (mainly for WDW), a pair of casual sandals I can wear on the ship and the beach and one pair of dressier shoes for my Palo night, although I haven't decided what I am going to wear yet.

I only enjoy shoe shopping online:)
LOL! Have found the best site, sierratradingpost.com...
Have fun at Palo and everyone else who gets to go!!!

My daughter will probably win. she has shoes for every outfit it seems, casual, & princess. :rotfl:

Eight more days, eight more days, Eight more days, till we leave, sorry i have to keep reminding myself. Yesterday was a balmy 40 and warm now it is -13 with a wind chill of -40, all i can do is tell myself 8 more days. Speaking of shoes i had to go with my DW around to several stores to buy her some new shoes for the cruise, I really should not complain she never buys shoes(how can i be so lucky).
I know a lot of people are leaving in the next few days, so drive safe, have a good flight or be safe however you get to florida, and don't forget the few of us not able to be there with you right away. We will hopefully see all at some point, and have a great night remember only 8 more days :yay:  :woohoo: :cheer2:
