Feb 5th - 12th 2012 Mexican Riviera on the Disney Wonder

:) Thank you sooooo very much for all of your help with the FE stuff... I'd care to say you're a much better leader at it than I have been. :flower3: But I do TRULY appreciate your help with all of it!!!! :thumbsup2

You're welcome :) But you get them on the ship, ha ha :-p and get to figure out what time and where we're doing the official meet-up.

I can do the print outs too, but you get to figure out all the room changes at our FE meet :rotfl: I'll print in a box to fill in with any room changes made.

thats great! ive never cruised before, what is the best way to meet up with people on the ship? i am a little uncomfortable giving out personal info on a website....sorry im totally new at this.

You should probably attend our FE/DIS meets regardless of whether or not you decide to participate. Since we'll all be gathered there, you'll have an opportunity to meet us all.

Also, add us on facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/310530365654573/

Question of the Day: Monday, January 23

Who is going overboard for pirate night?

We definitely are. We were planning going simpler, but once DH decided to buy a Jack Sparrow costume with boots and a wig?! DD and I had to go full steam ahead as well. She'll be a wee little pirate captain (I bought her a parrot to sit on her shoulders) and I will be slightly scandalous by Disney standards pirate. Though, honestly, with how short I am, that costume will probably fall at the knees. That's what happens when you put a 5' high person in a 5' 7" person's costume.

We are dressing up for pirate night!!:)

we cant wait either!!! We are on deck 6. are you a single mom for this trip? my sister (traveling with my husband and i) is a single mom travelling with her 2 boys.....maybe we can meet up.

My DH is staying home for this trip. :sad2: Instead our friend Lori (msttfn) is sharing the cabin with us. :woohoo:

We can all meet up to swap room info & such when the group meets on board ship (time/location to be determined yet). :cool1:

Hey

I am really sorry but I am almost done my FE stuff and I am working right up to when we leave so wont be able to add anyone else to the original list.:guilty:

So i have a questions some of you veterens may be able to help me with! I'm leaving from Bakersfield, CA on Sunday morning the 5th. How exactly do I get to the Parking for Disney? How do I pay for it? What do I do when I get to the Terminal? If someone could walk me through these steps it would be much appreciated!

I have to say sorry for that post. I just realized how badly I spelled everything! Whoops!

Welcome to all the newcomers!!!

QotD: We will enjoy the party, but will not be going all out. Typically just tatoos and some black/red/white clothes. We really enjoy everyone that does dress up tho, cant wait to see all the costumes!

Today's Trivia of the Day:

Can you name Disney Characters A-Z?

Again, NO Google!

Lets do it like this......Someone start with A, give as many as you can that start with letter A. Next person gets B, and so on. (There is only one letter that you will not find a character for, and that is X)

Let's give EODSasquatch a big welcome! He's joining us from the Cruise Critic roll call board (that is like crickets over there). Congratulations on the honeymoon cruise!

I have never ever cruised so I'm not the best person to answer this. Here's my attempt:

http://www.portoflosangeles.org/recreation/cruises.asp

has driving directions and parking rates and information. I believe you pay when you pull up to the attendant and they take credit card (although some people can't remember if American Express is taken, it may not be)

Just wanted to introduce myself! This is my family's 2nd Disney Cruise. We Cruised the Wonder last January on its maiden voyage thru the Panama Canal to Los Angeles. It only took one cruise to get us hooked on Disney.

I'll be bringing my wife and 2 kids (Nathan-9 1/2 and Natalie-8) and my wife's family. Please include us in the meet party. It would be great for the kids to meet some new friends.

A couple of things that we're doing different this time is bringing a couple of small pieces of luggage (since we're flying from CO) inside of luggage for our beverages. San Pedro has plenty of liquor stores for this. It's way easier to wrap the bottles with towels or shirts and put them in the checked bags.

You can drop your bags at the terminal and then get parked. You will go thru and x-ray screening station as you enter the terminal. It says no alcohol but I've heard that they don't enforce it. We just check the bags so there are no worries.

As for water, last cruise we bought a 24 pack of 16 oz. bottles. Each room has a fridge in it next to the make up vanity. Remember to turn down the thermostat so the drinks are cold. Last time we didn't see the thermostat till almost the end of the cruise.

There really is no need for that many bottles of water, since there is a filtered (R.O) water tap in the workout room to fill your bottles with. It is really good water! I only went thru a couple bottles and kept refilling at the fitness room.
