thanks! it looks like i am too late to join, thats ok. i am really just looking for friends for my daughter (3) and nephews (7 and 9). i am excited, and just hope the kids have fun and play with other kids......so we can have fun too!

hi, we are from canada too, and traveling with a 3 year old girl, 7 year old boy and 9 year old boy. we are flying in on the 4th and staying at lax, then taking the bus in the morning.

Small world we are flying in from Saskatchewan. My son would be ecstatic to have some friends to meet up with! I have to finalize the flights and then I will book the hotel, do you mind me asking where you picked? When I quickly googled I think the radisson was the first to come up. Like I said I have lots to do yet, lol. Is there anything right attached to the airport like orlando? Have you cruised before?

We have main (early) dining. DS would not last for later dining!

This is our first cruise so can't wait.

RULES/FACTOIDS REVIEW

• Hawky7 is our official group leader
• you have to go to the fe meet-up (because we will compile any room changes at this time and hand out the finalized room information to all participants)
• do not deliver fe gifts until after the official meet-up on the ship
• there is no minimum or maximum on cost
• you can do one gift per family or per person
• you may want to bring zip ties and secure your fish extender to the fish. Unfortunately, there have been cases of vandalism and theft.

I can't emphasize enough, send me your information pronto, you can even post it on the board if you can't get to 10 posts quickly. I will check the boards vigilantly in the next couple of days. We are staying at the embassy suites at lax, about 10 min from airport. no we have not cruised before. what deck are you on?

thats great! ive never cruised before, what is the best way to meet up with people on the ship? i am a little uncomfortable giving out personal info on a website....sorry im totally new at this.

When you get onboard you have an opportunity to book a future cruise at a discount.

You are able to reschedule that future cruise while retaining the discount. So if you don't know if/when you can really sail, you just pick a cruise way out in the future and book it to lock in the discount. This becomes your placeholder/dummy cruise. Then you can reschedule it later while retaining the discount.

While we were last onboard, I did two at once. We booked this MR cruise which I had all intentions on taking, and an additional placeholder in December on the Magic. Since the possiblity of taking that cruise looks less and less likely, I will probably reschedule it when a Kids Sail Free offer appears.

I actually told the DCL rep onboard that cruise was a placeholder - he thanked me for telling him and told me he was putting all placeholders on one specific sailing so their reservations system didn't have placeholders all over the place. If that has been the case all along, someone may actually want to sail on that one, you may have the ship to yourself!
