Feb.4,2006. Who else is sailing?

I sure hope not.

It depends, I think, on how crowded the ship is -- if they reached maximum Club capacity, then we're in trouble!
From what I was told they will be evaluated by the staff at the club and its up to them if they will let them in and depending on how crowded they are too will make a diference of course. Let's keep our fingers crossed!!!!

When we were on our first cruise, they let one of our kids into the next age group.

The only thing they ask is that you dont move the child back and forth to the different age groups.

Thanks for the info! If my daughter gets into the club I will be sure to keep her there. She is enrolled in preschool and they moved her up to the 3 & 4 year olds in Sept. and is doing great. I don't think she will have any problems in the club.

We're in the same boat. (No pun intended. :earsboy: ) Which is why I think that availability will be much more of a factor than age, here.

Either way, lots of fairy dust to both of us for getting the girls into the club! Ihave to admit that I would be very disappointed if she couldn't go -- it's ALL she talks about nowadays:

me: What do you want to do today, honey?
Abbie: I want to go on Mickey's Boat.
me: Well, that's not for another month or so.
Abbie: I want to see Mickey. And get a princess birthday cake. On Mickey's Boat.

That is so funny! My daughter keeps saying "We are going to see Mickey Mouse now" I think I may have jumped the gun a little early by telling her about our vacation. They have no concept of time and I have told the kids that we are going after Santa arrives. Now how am I going to make them understand there is another month to go??? Well if we luck out on the club situation that I guess we will have to consider Flounder's Nursery to get some grown up time. Hopefully our girls will bond and make friends so that would have each other.

Usually Im looking forward to Christmas this time of year....

But all I can think about is a little more than a month away! I can really use the relaxation!

I agree, plus all my money is going toward the cruise, which will make it smaller Christmas than usual. Merry Christmas everyone.

And our little girl is in the same category - not quite 3, but potty trained, so hopefully availability is not going to be a problem. Pixie dust for all of us... :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

We are in the same shape. We are spending alot on the cruise, and there are less presents under the tree than I would like..... but the kids dont seem to mind.. especially after seeing that we are on the way to Florida.

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it!

We too, have scaled back our Christmas this year. We always tend to go a little nuts when it comes to the kids (which was kept under control this year), but Johnna and I agreed not to get anything for each other this year, saving our money for drinks with umbrellas in them when we're on board.

I hope that everyone has a terrific holiday this year -- and just think -- in a little over a month, we'll all be in the lap of luxury on the Disney Cruise Line!!

Wooohooooo!!

Mark

Hi everyone,

I've finally come out of "just looking" mode. I've used these boards for several years. We had an awesome trip to Disney in 2003 thanks to many great suggestions by folks on this board.

We're cruising on our first Disney Cruise Feb. 4, 2006 Eastern. We have two kids DD who will be nine in January and DS who will be six two days before cruise.

Our kids are both very friendly and our daughter especially loves making new friends everywhere we go. If anyone has a daughter around her age who will be in the clubs with her we'd love to become email pals to get acquainted prior.

Anxiously awaiting warmer weather:sunny:,

Hello. This is Debi. I have posted before on this thread. However, I could not recoup my password and had to register again with another name. I was ufcabear and am now YachtSea (which happens to be the name of our so cute black and white toy poodle.) I have been reading the posts almost daily and thought I probably should post some things before the cruise so I could get to know some of you. My DH (Cal) and I are celebrating our 30th anniversary, therefore there are no children coming with us. I noticed our names listed on the list of Feb. 4th cruisers that was posted a few days ago.

Anyway, just as the rest of you are, we are getting very excited. I can't believe it is only a bit more than a month away. We booked last February, so... the wait has been a long one.

There have been so many things that I have learned by reading posts. I have a question that I thought I would ask instead of going back and trying to find the previous threads. What are people talking about when mentioning a secret area that people can go to on deck 7? I would appreciate your help on this. I have been on three Disney cruises but only on the Wonder. This will be our first Magic cruise. (We have also cruised on Royal Caribbean and Carnival.)

We are staying (using points) at the Holiday Inn Express close to the port. We stayed there last year also and it was very accomodating.

Check out the DIS meet thread on Feb 4 as well.

At the rear of the ship on deck 7 is a rarely used overlook that has some deck chairs.

There is also a stairway that goes to deck 8 and then up to Beach Blanket Buffet....

Thanks for writing back so quickly. How do you get to this secret area on deck 7?

Hello Everyone!! Merry belated Christmas! Well Santa arrived at our house and now the kids are asking when we are leaving for the Mickey boat! Not soon enough! I am sooooo looking forward to the cruise! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!

We would like to wish everyone a wonderful and safe holiday!

We too are getting very excited about the cruise!

Just yesterday, we went to a dive shop and purchased a diving mask and snorkel for our two children to share. My DS normally takes a shower, but last night took a bath instead so he could practice using the diving mask and snorkel underwater!

Steven

That is great about the snorkel. I have been trying to put aside some of our "cruise" items. I got my husband's snorkel out and ready. I have tried to keep calm about the cruise until Christmas is over. Well, it is over. Ha Ha. We are ready to cruise.

Due to some financial concerns we booked a gty category 12 last Feb. for this cruise. I am anxious to see what cabin we will receive. I go online and check each day. I know that it is a bit early but it never hurts to look.

I have not really kept up with the thread on this cruise, so I do not really know anyone that is going other than seeing their names. Are there any others that have the early dinner seating? I checked Palo and by the time I decided to book it for brunch all were filled. What does anyone think the chances are that I might be able to book onboard?

Eager to cruise and looking forward to hear from someone from this thread.

Debi :goodvibes
