FEB 3, 2008 ABROAD DISNEY WONDER--Who else??

As many people that participate, that's how many treats we make. And only once (so NOT times each of the 4 days). We'll just deliver on different days.

How about this-
I'll deliver mine on that Monday. Who wants Sun, Tues, and Wed?
Let's start with that and if more than 4 people are interested, we'll just have more than one person delivering per day.

As far as what's in them, I say generic. Candy, disney trinkets, whatever. I know I am as likely to use a Mickey or Nemo pencil as DD6 :earsgirl: And if it's candy, well... my DDs better hope they find it first! :rotfl2:

Tara, on a different note, I am very sorry to her about your DD. I will keep your family in our thoughts. Here's to a speedy recovery.

Tara- We'll keep you and Jade in our thoughts and prayers. As you said if it had to happen, better now than later. Hopefully she will be healthy by the time we leave.

I will take 2 days for the exchange. One for our room and one for DF's who my oldest DD is staying with.

....I

So it made me think, what about seeing who would be willing to take a night to put a small treat in the fish extenders for the kids instead of doing the Dirty Tink for them?
That is what we did on the Panama Cruise. Some people were really creative and brought things that referenced the cruise, notepads, magnets, pencils, candy bars. It's been a while so I can't remember everything. I am creatively challenged so I just bought some things from Oriental Trading...a great catalog where you can buy stuff (some would call it junk) by the gross! We just delivered on any night we could, no schedule. For the things not marked who they were from, it was fun trying to figure out who it was from. I kind of like the anonymous, deliver when you can approach. Mainly because we get so sucked into all the activities on the ship and could fit the delivery in when we could.

I in no matter how we go about it. Just need to know a number of participants.

WOW! If you can get a teenage boy to spend "quality" time with his Mom, especialy when "cool stuff" becons:cool2: , you are truly the uber-parent.

I appreciate the compliment, but it isn't me. There's just no "World of Warcraft" or Wii around to take DS's attention away.

He isn't quite a teen yet. Just turned 12 in December. I think he'd love to go to the teen club instead of the Lab, but that's a year out yet. If his twin brother were going with us, I'd never see him like you said. Once he meets a few other kids, that's probably going to be the case anyway.

Yes I am up!!!! Can't sleep...I guess I should have stayed at the hospital not bret.

We want Tuesday....Mardi Gras Day!!!!!

Tara

My DH loves WOW...that warcraft game. He has become addicted since he has mastered Diablo.

BOYS and their toys.

TaraMarie- You and your family are definitely in my prayers. My son was hospitalized for 8 days this summer and there is nothing worse than having your baby in the hospital (no matter how big your baby is). I hope she has a very quick recovery and we get to meet you soon! Good thing you are so far ahead of all of us in your planning!

We will make some goodie bags too! I have really been trying to get away with not making a fish extender though- it just looks to be beyond my capabilities. I'll think of something:confused3

This will be great...

So far it looks like:
me (Lovemydisneycats)
TaraMarie
Princessdaisy
PixiePrincessMom (x 2 rooms)
MomPotz
Juli
DizneyPhan

So we are up to needing 8 things to deliver. Or I guess it'd only be 7, if we are not delivering one to ourselves. I'll have to wait and see what I come up with....I may have to deliver to myself too :goodvibes

Sorry to be difficult tonight it has been a LOOOOOONNNNNNGGGGG day. I had to put my oldest daughter *the one with CP* in the hospital today
Tara

Dear, dear, T.M.

Soooo sorry to hear about little Jade. I get freaked out when I just think too much about what-ifs with Aaron. I can only imagine how hard it is to see your baby so pittiful.

Don't worry about the trip for now, or the boards. You concentrate on Jade, and your family, and school. We'll all still be here when your life isn't so interesting.

We only have the one DS(14), so I don't have personal experience in this, but for those families with more than one child, will the kidles be satisfied sharing one goodie bag between them, or should we be thinking about one-bag-per-child. :confused3

Again, I'm no expert, so if this is a non-issue, just say so.

I vote for 1 bag per family. I have no problem making the kids share. If there is something the insist on fighting over, it belongs to me:thumbsup2

Since its just me and my sis cruising...I think we will go ahead and just stick to the magnet exchange only.:)

Hi all,

I'm up for magnets. Though, rather than walking the halls each day to deliver them to peoples doors, could I foist them to another person to distribute? ;)

We're doing cheap and cheerful, right?

BTW, I finally booked hotel and we're staying off-site this time (no moderate resort rooms left) and calculating the cost of MCO and DCL transfers, it was cheaper to rent an SUV for nine days even if four days were sitting in the PC parking lot! Things are coming together.

Now to put away the Christmas decorations!

Now to put away the Christmas decorations!

I can't get myself to take down my tree:sad2: We have been out of town visiting family and I feel like I hardly had a chance to enjoy it. My hubby decorated it in an under the sea theme like the ones at the Beach Club resort in WDW...it looks so pretty with the seahorse, sea schells & fish deocrations. Shhhhh, don't tell hubby that I let you all know that he is the decorater of the family. We call him Steven Stewart:rolleyes1 ;) :lmao:

Okay, I can't find my original post and I can't reply to private messages so I'll have to respond this way...

I'm not agreeing to participating in magnet exchange, etc :sad2: because I have too many other obligations! This started as a cruise with my fam and the in laws but has turned into a circus! Now it's cousins, aunts, friends, their cousins and aunts and then their friends etc :scared1: lol There's so many of us I have lost count!

It should be lots of fun though...but I have too many other things I'm doing w/ family members...

I should be at the wine tasting though! We did it last time and had a blast...

I'm getting so excited...it's coming quick!!! :cheer2:

I may have to do some ducking and running :rolleyes1 but I'll figure it out...

One treat/bag per room (I say). Depending on what I go with, I may end up throwing enough of each thing in so all can enjoy.

MomPotz, I'm with you- if the kiddies can't share, I'll have some fun things ALL FOR ME!! :goodvibes

Quarterman- Good Luck- that's all I have to say!!!:lmao: Oh yeah, and better you than me (sorry for the lack of support there;) ) Just kidding, I'm sending you lots of happy thoughts. :grouphug:
