2 weeks from today and we'll be cruisin'!!! I can't wait to meet everyone!! I'm finishing up my FE gifts today and doing my final misc. shopping. We booked this cruise almost a year ago, doesn't seem like it! Time is flying by and that's okay for now, but when we get on the ship, I demand that it stop!!

I am getting my FE gifts done today. It will be nice to have them done so I can concentrate on packing. I know I am going to overpack.

Is anyone staying at the Raddison? We will be staying there Saturday night and taking the shuttle over at 10:30.

Angie, do you live in Orlando? I live near Atlanta and we got 4 inches of snow Friday and are expected to get 1-2 inches again tonight. This vacation can't come too early for me. We are driving to the port and staying over night on Saturday. Hope we have good driving weather because it will be a very long ride. Not as long as some, but longer than others.

Nope, I live about 20 minutes from the Port and 45 minutes east of Orlando. Our favorite beach is at the Port so it has been torture for the girls to see the cruise boats pull out without them every week. DD6 keeps asking "why we can't be on that boat" as they leave. I guess the good thing about it being so cold here is that we haven't been to the beach in about 2 months

Ok Angie - that's just TOO cold - please start dance to the weather gods for warmer weather and NO winds. Sorry to hear about your plants

Believe me, we have been doing every weather dance we can do I keep wanting to replant the flowers and trim back the trees but then we get another cold system coming through. We have been here 15 years and I can't remember another winter that lasted so long. Maybe it is because I have been counting the days to the cruise and warmer weather.

We are staying at the Radission on Sat. night. Our shuttle time isn't until 11:00 AM. Glad we can park our car there for no additional charge.

By the way, I haven't asked "can we arrange for the hotel to pick us up on Thurs. AM and get us back to our car?" That question is open to anyone.

I have not even started packing. I have made a list of things I have to purchase for the trip. My daughter-in-law said they packed way too many clothes. She and my son have 3 kids (DD 21, DD 13, and a DS 19) and they went on a 5 day cruise last summer.

I have been looking at all the lists of things to take or pack and I'm not sure I'll have enough room in 2 suitcases. Some things it seems like they should have on the ship (i.e. first aid kit; hair dryer, soap in a plastic container; shampoo, etc.). Any suggestions????

We are going to the Magic Kingdom on Saturday and will be spending the night at the Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista Saturday night and then will drive to the port Sunday morning!!

I have been looking at all the lists of things to take or pack and I'm not sure I'll have enough room in 2 suitcases. Some things it seems like they should have on the ship (i.e. first aid kit; hair dryer, soap in a plastic container; shampoo, etc.). Any suggestions????

They will supply you with great quality shampoo, conditioner and soap in your stateroom,so no need to pack that if you don't want (we save ours daily to bring home to remind us of the cruise later). The staterooms also have hair dryers, but the power is not very strong - if you have very long hair, it might take some time to dry. There is a medical center on board as well, I'm sure you can get band aids there. I know they also have dramamine type medicine available outside their office for free.

Try to coordinate your outfits so you don't need a different pair of shoes for each one - you can wear your pants more than one night, just change tops - saves on packing. Alot of the stuff on the packing lists are not necessary, but can be nice to have - you have to decide what you really need.

We are staying at POR on Friday night and Saturday night. We'll spend Saturday at the MK and on Sunday will take the disney transportation to port.

I think I am driving my family nuts today - I keep saying 2 weeks from now we'll be at the port, 2 weeks from now we'll be eating lunch on deck at Beach Blanket, 2 weeks from now...

"Wonder" which restaurant we'll be in on the first night - 2 weeks from now we'll be watching The Golden Mickeys - geez I really do need a life

LOL; me too...even worse, i've printed off menus, and every day at work I say "two weeks from now, I'll be eating in Triton's, etc" and hand them my menu with my selections circled!

I don't know why everyone at work seems so bitter.

- I don't understand it either. I don't even mention it any more - when I say Disney - people roll their eyes and ask "Why do you keep going back there?" They just don't understand
