Totally fine. A bit run down, but clean and overall nice. Friendly. Fine for a night. How was the surise hotel?
Hi goiu! Because of a storm near PV, we ended up going to Cabo for 2 days and then Ensenada for a day. There was a notice of the itinerary change once we checked in at the LA Port. Originally, we had signed up for the city tour of PV, since it was an excursion the babies (2 1/2 and 15 months) could go on as well.
Cabo: While the babies stayed on the ship at Flounders, we took a water taxi to Medano Beach and had lunch at Mango Beach Club. Afterwards, we checked out the souvenir shops along the dock. We bought a few brightly-colored, touristy Cabo t-shirts for the kids and a small bottle of Mexican vanilla. The 2nd Cabo day, we stayed on the ship.
For Cabo, I was worried the kids might feel seasick on the tender boats but it was a short 5 min ride to the dock. They would have been fine.
Ensenada: We borrowed a stroller from GS and walked 20 mins to the main shopping area. Ladies selling jewelry and hair braiding services were on every block. The only thing we ended up buying there, was a bottle of tequila that wasnt sold in the US.
I have been trying to figure out where to stay before the cruise and how to get to and from airport - hotel - cruise terminal - disney -airport???? Does anyone have any suggestions? We land at 9:30 am the day before the cruise, so I was thinking about staying right by the port and am trying to find a decent inexpensive hotel. Then after the cruise we are staying 2 nights at DL so I need to know how to get there after the cruise. Then of course how to get back to LAX.![]()
I would so appreciate any help!!!!
Thanks for your suggestions! Was Medano Beach a kid friendly place? Another friend of mine suggested that place too for us. We have a 5 and 3 yr old and are looking for a beach that we can take them to in Cabo.

We are flying in the day before too. We are staying at the Embassy Suites LAX airport north. They have a free shuttle service to and from the airport. Plus, we loving having a suite, free breakfast and manager's reception the night before. Then we will take the Disney bus to the ship from the airport. We've never done it in LA, but this is what we've done the last 4 cruises in Orlando and works great for us. Sorry, can't help with the return part.
What time do you land at LAX? and what do you do for the day? Are there things around the area to do? We are getting in at 9:30am and want to try and do something for the day, as it is my dd birthday on that day.
We've actually never stayed at this hotel in LA. This is what we normally do in Orlando. So, not sure what's around this hotel here.We get in at 1:20p. So, by the time we get our suiitcases and get to the hotel it will take a little while. My little ones will either go swimming or sometimes take naps. So, you're right we don't usually do anything much. So, you may not want to stay here since you'll want to do something special. We've actually never stayed at this hotel in LA. whoo hoo!!! I was able to book my Palos brunch and dinner reservations at 12:01 this morning!!!
Love being a Platinum cruiser!!!![]()
