How busy is mid Feb? We are looking to go during this time but don't want to fight crowds (if at all possible).

Very Very busy... Its the Daytona 500 time of the year and there are lots of people staying at Disney because hotels in Daytona are sold out.
It is also winter break for schools in the New England area and that means there will be lots of kids.
We have gone the past 3 years and the parks are crowded.
Fast Pass go quickly and lines are long.
Disney also host a cheerleader competion during that time so staying at Pops, All Sports, ect will be over run with kids. We went to the Pops for lunch once and man it was a zoo. Buses were over crowded.
So if you are planning to go reserve your room now!

Thanks for the info, we won't be going in Feb. Any suggestions for March, April or May? When would be the best for smallest crowd? Is Jan a better option or end of the year like Sept. We don't have any restrictions on time of year but prefer to be when school is in session and not too hot. We are from Florida so we know the weather but just never did Disney. Thanks again for any recommendations.

Also presidents days are very crowded. last week is not too bad.

I have been to WDW twice and the best time to go in in November. But I have found a calendar online at the offical disney website that shows the best time to go(At the home page click on travel then on WDW then Calendar which is on the blue bar near the top then click on the box that says ligter crowds).:cool1: :thumbsup2 :cool1:

We went in Feb this year, the 10 - 16 and it was not crowded until the last day. It was presidents weekend and we noticed people pouring in on Friday. The beginning of the week was awesome though. I think the longest we waited was 20 minutes and many times we were able to walk right up!

We went at the end of May and stayed through Memorial Day weekend. May 22-28. MK & HS were never overly crowded. MK was lovely and quiet on Memorial Day (it was also a Pirate and Princess night, so my guess is many people stayed away until that event in the evening) Epcot was extremely crowded on Sunday (before Memorial Day) and AK was unbearable the Tuesday afterwards. I had friends that went the week before us, and they said it was perfect. So I'm planning our trip the week before Memorial Day next year. We also stayed at the CBR so we were never bothered with hugh crowds at our resort. I've never wanted to go in the fall or winter months because if my kids get sick... it will be then. That's not to say that they never get sick in the spring/summer, but our odds go down tremendously.

posted ? on codes& rates already but maybe ya'll can help too...
Would President's Day affect crowds the weekend following?
Also what about MardiGras?
Thinking about Feb 20-25 2009 as kids will be out of school for Mardi Gras.
