First, the DIS is the best place to learn about codes, and this thread! They will be posted here!
I would register on the WDW site for Planning DVD's.....that gets your name on some "lists"....I had applied for some for my brother and cousin, and I have received about FIVE pin codes for them thru my email account
Disney Visa offers discounts/specials as well.
Decide what resort you want to stay at...with 5...a deluxe ? A mod..POR AB sleeps 5, or 2 rooms at a Value or the family suite at ASMusic

Sometimes specials/codes arent released until a few months prior...you can contact Dreams unlimited as well if you wish to go the TA route for additional assistance

How many others will be pulling kids out of school to go? I'm feeling guilty about pulling my three year old out of preschool for 5 days! Help me not feel so guilty

My son is missing 6 days in Feb and he's in the 3rd grade. We do this every year but my son does really well academically. If he struggled at all, we would not pull him out. Besides, his teachers generally give us his work ahead of time and we have him complete it before he returns from vacation.

My kids are missing 6 days. We have Daytona 500 tix, and we kinda have to work around that. Vacation isnt til the last week of Feb. So that kinda sucks. But its a once in a lifetime vacation for us, and my kids never miss school. So I dont feel so bad. I did at first, but then I was like, whatever, they will make everything up and be okay.

Why is the second half of Feb considered PEAK season?

It's AFTER President's week and before Spring Break? I would think it would be Regular Season or even Value Season.

What am I missing here? Thanks.

I have pulled my kids out of school the last three years and am pulling them out this year again. I don't feel guilty at all. I talk to all of the teachers ahead of time and they give us the homework and classwork to be completed while on vacation. BTW, my kids are in 6th and 4th.

Thank you so much for this post!! I am feeling SO guilty about taking my kids out. I did not specifically plan the date of this trip, my DH's work did....he will be down there for business and has a horrible fear of flying. I cannot see driving with him and leaving our kids at home! My kids are in 2nd, 8th, and 9th..........mostly worried about the 9th grader, but I will just be proactive and speak with the teachers before hand!

I used to live in Massachusetts and we had 2 breaks after Christmas. One week in Feb known as winter break; 1 week in April for spring break. However, we only had one week off at Christmas. I now live in Ohio and we get 2 weeks off for Christmas.

Was this part of a package with hotel, etc.? Or was this just the tickets? In other words, could I buy just the tickets in February for our trip in April? Thanks!

Ok, please forgive my ignorance, but this is my first "code post" ever. I am not familiary with how this works at all. I am looking for a code to apply to either mod or deluxe resort for mid Feb. If there is one, will it be posted on this thread? Any guidance would be grately appreciated

The code you are looking for will most likely be posted the first Monday in Nov. Look under "resorts" on the main thread page and then under "codes and rates". Once it comes out, it will probably be posted all over the place.

For the past two and a half years of NOT going to disney (I was getting a divorce and needed some space lol) I got codes all over the place.
Since deciding to actually go back, I have been TRYING to wait patiently for a code for Feb LOL.

I open my email today.... and WOO HOO! An email from Disney!....Photopass.

*bangs head into computer*
Why oh why would I want to buy junk from photopass when I HAVEN'T BEEN BACK TO DISNEY YET, LOL!

Yup! I've booked my airfare for 2/1 -2/4. I'm holding reserving a room to see if a code comes out! I'm *hoping* to stay at the Contemporary for this Adults only trip on my POFQ budget!
