Hmmm...I haven't got much packed, but I did pack my bathing suits and sunscreen. I'm ready. I'll just buy anything else that I need once we get there. What time should we meet you there?

Don't I wish. Still have two huge reports to complete before I can leave. Tomorrow Jim is getting measured for his tux, then I'll order that.

I never thought of prepaying my Palo charges, etc. That's just too organized for me!

After sledding for 1 1/2 hrs I am ready to get WARM! Perfect winter day (is there such a thing) high of 28, no clouds, no wind... have a wicked sore throat and just popped 2 nyquil...better now then on the cruise! Hello Mr. Sandman...

I just called DCL (866.325.6685) and asked to prepay gratuities. They calculated them for each room and give you your totals.

After I asked to apply another amount to our stateroom for incidentals. So right now its just a chunck (big chunck, gulp!) of money sitting on our account until we start charging our stuff back the the room.

Sledding sounds fun. To icy here for that. Beautiful snow... all covered with about 1/2 inch of ice.

You might want to check with Disney or your TA. My taxes/govt fees just dropped by $15.

You may have to ask for it to get the refund. Not sure if Disney does it automatically.

Wow, great idea on pre-paying...I remember the giant lines on checkout day with people freaking about their bills... sledding was great, went with my sister and family while David took the girls skiing... We are supposed to get 1.5 inches of RAIN tomorrow- WHAT!? Not like I am a winter lover, but rain is so depressing, as depressing as snow in April! Tried on one of the 'gowns' I ordered from Nordstroms...now just have to get some sandals to go with it...sounds like a mission for Zappos! where are we with the countdown, 26 days??!

Hello, all!

No rain, no snow, just some misty fog here right now, although they say we're going to get a serious rain storm just in time for the morning commute. I guess that means I'll be bringing dry shoes to the office with me!

Jim and I are on our way out so that he can get measured for a tux, and then I'll come back and order it for the cruise. It seems that the only time we ever get a decent picture of the two of us together is on the cruise, so we might as well get all dressed up so that people can see that we really DO wear something besides jeans and sweaters once in a while. I'm going to make myself a couple of nice camisoles or other simple tops and wear one of my long black skirts or really dressy pants for semi-formal night, but formal night isn't decided yet. Jim wears the tux for both, and quite possibly to Palo. That gives us three chances to get a nice dress-up picture.

o.k. here is my FE . I really have no idea what I am doing so we will see if it works or not. It is pouring rain here today an dthe snow that is left looks so ugly. I can't wait to be in the warm sun sipping on a tropical cocktail!!! Started packing and have a few more projects to finish. Is anyone dressing up for pirate night? Can't wait to see everyone. Hang in there gang the day is drawing closer.

My darling children are driving me nuts today...won't stay outside! Thinking of hiding upstairs for a while....I remember as a kid staying outside all day long, not running inside every 5 minutes...

I went on DCL site to hve a look, and our amount paid has dropped by $30, so I'm guessing 2x the taxes/govt fees.

Could be they would give it us as onboard credit, but really they should let us know.

No Palo ressies for us either as we only booked a few weeks ago. Not sure I will bother trying onboard. I would like Brunch or tea, but not too bothered this time.

As far as the rebate goes, I only heard from Kathy's post above, just went to look online and saw the price we paid is now less that it was when we actually paid. Go and have a look at your reservation.

Let's see...Palo Brunch on Sunday (Key West Day) at 11, Palo High Tea on Monday at 3 (Sea Day), and Palo Dinner on Wednesday (Grand Cayman Day) at 9. I guess you could say that we enjoy Palo! Weve never had High Tea there, so that should be a nice experience for us.

We aren't dressing up for Pirate Night. In fact, I don't even know which night that is. We're traveling as light as we can this trip, which is another new experience for us! I don't like to take any more luggage than I can comfortably handle on my own. Yes, I know there are skycaps and porters, etc., but I like to know that I can manage by myself if I have to.

No palo for us this time around. I called my TA this am and was told that I would see a credit on my credit card for the decrease in govt fees/taxes. Was told I should see on my account in about 3 to 4 days. The girls dress up for pirate night . DH and I usually just wear our bandanas. Hope everyone has a great week

Shauna - It should not matter what you paid or the availability left on the sailing. I would call DCL or your TA (if you booked with one) and check on your rebate.

Hi Shauna,

I think the Taxes/Govt fees decreased by $15 per person. You should definitely call either Disney or your TA to get the refund processed. For those that don't notice and ask, I'm not sure they refund the money. Like I said, this is my first Disney cruise and on other cruise lines you have to notice and ask to get the refund.
