The best place we ate, and the best service was in Beach Blanket (and yes we went to Palo's..was I the only person not impressed?) on pirate night. It was casual, but we were served. The service was great as was the food. The chef up there was a great cook! There were only about a dozen families, and I just couldn't get over how good it was. Better than Palo at no extra cost.
As for Disney being on top of injuries..I didn't get that impression from others I talked with. I was really surprised to have so many people share stories with me. I think they are really dropping the ball. Tonight we ate at Cat Cora's restaurant, instead of Cape May, where we have had reservations for weeks. I explained my husband had been ill on our cruise, and that he would like to just sit with tea while I ate, or even pay for soup, and they said no, he had to pay for the buffet. I even talked with the manager, because guest services said it was up to him. So we went across to Boardwalk and ate at Cat's place, where hubby just had a bowl of soup (yes, I realize that Cape May is a buffet, but exceptions are often made at Disney. I know they have an exception for those who have had the stomach stapling, because someone was with us last year, and they offered her children's price). I think I am freally Disney'd out.
