Feb.13th(lucky for some) 2010 Eastern Valentines Cruise - The Love Boat Sails Again !

We are fans - Liverpool is good as well, though. My daughter is a goal keeper but its hard to find any team gear over here. I would be interested to know how much a goal keeper jersey is, if those exist. Soccer over here isn't big enough to really find a store that carries much.

Today we made our Palo reservations and a spa reservation. We are now looking into what excursions we want to do.

I'll try to put together a listing of those going and all the pertinent information. It probably won't be until next week, so if anyone else wants to jump in ... feel free. ;)

We are super excited!

Hi everyone. Besides planning a meet, is anyone interested in doing the Fish Extender thing? I read about it on the DIS and it sounds like a fun thing to do. I'd be happy to help plan it if people are interested. Any one want to be a part of it??

We would like to do the Fish Extender. I am no good at computer lists/spreadsheets, etc, so I can't get that part going, but would love to participate. If we decide to do it, we need to set a cut-off date so that we have time to shop/make things. Ive recently realized that after the holidays there won't be much time before the cruise! :dance3:

So - we are considering doing an ATV tour in St. Maarten and a jet skiing tour in St. Thomas. Probably through an outside company unless the Disney excursion prices are close.

Anyone else have plans?

I think we are staying the night before at the Country Inn and Suites. They have a park and stay rate to avoid the $105 to park at the port. We'll get there really late though, so meeting up with anyone wouldn't be possible. Would love to have a meet up on board though, maybe sometime after sailing? Or before? Any ideas? I'll work on list this weekend of who is on the cruise and with whom, along with any other information I can find.

I don't know about the FE thing. I'll have to think about it. I guess it depends on how many of us want to participate and how to handle the 'surprises' ($$ amount, daily, once during the cruise, etc.?)

We've got Palo booked for dinner and for a brunch, so I'm glad that's taken care of! Last time I remember arriving really early at the port just so we could be early on the ship to make dinner reservations at Palo.

Oh - and youngest DD needs her passport renewed. Must get that done soon!!!

Ok all you experienced cruisers - what is the weather really like this week? Rainy, cold, warm, hot? Just trying to get some ideas for packing, more jeans and sweatshirts, or shorts and tank tops. Thanks for your input.:)

I'm not sure if this is going to work, but I've made a spreadsheet from the thread of who's on the cruise with all the information I have found. I'm sure with the balance due now, there may be some folks that decide not to go.

Oh - and let me know if any changes or additions/corrections to names and ages. As nikitta28 said, let's all try to meet before or after sailing. Isn't there a secret deck somewhere that we could meet at? Also - we should plan to wear something identifiable (like lime green mickeys or something).

Kim

We've had hot, warm and rainy/cool during cruises on this particular week. The further south we get, the warmer it will be, but the days at sea and the Florida days may be cool and/or windy. My best advice is to bring at least 1 pair of long pants and definitely a sweater/jacket. Hopefully we won't need them!

Is anyone else going to the cruise from WDW ? We are staying at Boardwalk. I currently have DCL transportation booked, but if anyone is also at WDW and is interested in sharing a van to the port, I would be happy to make the arrangements. There are 4 of us - me and my 2 daughters and my friend Jody. With 4 it's pretty close to the same price for DCL and a limo service, so I took the easiest route and just booked it thru Disney, but with more than 4 passengers you can save.

We are staying at the Hyatt at the airport the night before and taking the Cruise Line bus over to Port Canaveral on Saturday. A meet in the terminal or on board the first day would be best, I think, with everyone arriving and staying at different places. We're game for whatever works out best for the group. Looking forward to meeting all of you!!

Gosh, we can have a mini meet on line at the Hyatt on Saturdaymorning (I think there are lot's of us staying there the night before)

Pat, a meet at the Hyatt is a great idea! Maybe breakfast at the food court before we go the the bus. We haven't made the reservation yet, but I figure they have a lot of rooms.

Linda, have you tried Hyatt Stay Certificate. You buy in advance, then use on your travel date. Hotels may have a limit on the number of certificate rooms they book for a given night so you may want to check about availability before you commit to buying one. We used it last year the night before our cruise & the night when we got back. It was great & we saved lot's :cool1:

Here's a link to the website - https://www.certificates.hyatt.com/p...CertsStay.aspx

I agree on the day of - those that are staying at the Hyatt will just have a head start. :) I would like the opportunity to meet some fellow Disers. We plan to be at the cruise terminal around noon or so. We should probably just set a time and place onboard and hopefully everyone can make it.

I'm in for the FE. Do we set up days for each person to give their gift? I don't think I could do something everyday, that would be a little much. How does it work?

Pat, thanks for the tip about the Hyatt Stay certificate. I'm going to check it out on Friday, after the holiday. By the way, Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!! Hope you all have a nice dinner and day. I always like to watch the Macy's parade. Love those big balloons, and there's a new Mickey one this year.

I was also wondering exactly how the FE works. I'm in for it, but we never did it before, so I also need some FE 101.
