Feb.13th(lucky for some) 2010 Eastern Valentines Cruise - The Love Boat Sails Again !

Linda, this will be the plan! I think I'll ask her Thursday night if she thinks she can "skip" school Friday (I will have to hope she doesn't have any tests scheduled !!) and tell her we have a chance to go on a "mystery trip". We have to leave here around 5 AM to get to the airport. She'll be really confused when my friend Jody shows up at that hour of the morning! When we get to the airport, she'll see that she's flying to Orlando, but you're right, she'll think she's going to WDW for the week. Won't she be surprised when a limo arrives at Boardwalk Saturday morning for us!

The time is just moving so slowly now.......I just want to on the ship meeting all my new friends and enjoying frozen drinks made with my new cruise blender!!

I started packing, for myself. Getting these boys put together is a whole other story.

I surprised my 2 kids the first time on a 4 night cruise ....told them we were going to the coast for a couple of days (we were already in Orlando)....we even got them through security, into the terminal building, by saying we had suddenly decided to stop off at the DCL museum (fictional of course) !!

........their faces were a picture when I gave them the boarding card to read !!!

I need some transportation help... we are actually driving over Friday and staying at the Country Inn and Suites. But my DH sisters are flying into Orlando and staying at the Hyatt. I have read/heard conflicting info about being able to do all of the check in at the hotel vs having to check in at the port. Does anyone know what will really happen? Thanks!

We stayed at the Hyatt last year. It was so simply & easy. When the sisters check in just let the clerk know that they are on the DC. The Hyatt will give them detail directions. Next morn all they have to do is show up in the lobby & sign there names on the DCL bus list.

We were at the port by 10:30 am, & check in at the port. I have heard that you can check in downstairs in the airport. IMO I think's more fun to check in at the port, since there is much time to kill at the port. It will make time go by faster. I don't think we can enter the Magic till at least 11:30 or noon??

I told John that we will be on that BOAT no matter what!!! Snow or no SNOW we will be there!

We are celebrating our 21 anniversary while on the ship! The year we got married (in West Palm Beach) we were driving home to Philly in a RAGING Ice Storm! I am hoping that our drive to the Port does NOT bring back those memories! Of the drive of course.....not the wedding

wow Barbara - VA has gotten lots of snow this year, quite a winter. All the more you'll enjoy a cruise in the Carribean.

It's been a little drizzly here in Tampa but Judy just went to Chicago today for work and landed in snow.

Lacy is counting the days till we pack, and separately counting the days until we cruise

I can honestly say that it snows almost every day here during the winter, sometimes just flurries, sometimes quite a bit (we are at very high elevation). We're used to it and life just goes on. But it is SUPPOSED to snow in Massachusetts ! Not in Virginia!

Does anyone know if the olympics will be shown onboard. I would think that they will at some point. Also, Starstruck is premeiring on the Disney Channel Sunday, is there a chance they may show that too? My DD really wants to see it. All of these little details are distracting me from work.
