Feb.13th(lucky for some) 2010 Eastern Valentines Cruise - The Love Boat Sails Again !

Thank you so much!! I will let them know.

Does anyone know if the olympics will be shown onboard. I would think that they will at some point. Also, Starstruck is premeiring on the Disney Channel Sunday, is there a chance they may show that too? My DD really wants to see it. All of these little details are distracting me from work. :lmao:

Work who the heck can work a week before a cruise :rotfl::confused3 I'm too busy worring about the weather, packing, buying new shoes (still need to do that). Getting food in the house before the BIG snow this weekend. WORK NO time for that. :rotfl2:

pirate:pirate:What are people doing for Pirate Night? Is anyone bringing costumes?pirate:pirate:

I asked this a few days ago and got no responses... but I have a costume for my DS4. DH and I have some pirate-y accessories but I haven't dug them out of the Halloween-costume box yet.

When I did the 4-day cruise a couple of years ago, it seemed most adults made do with the pirate bandannas given out at dinner and a few accessories bought in the ship gift shop. pirate:

I do have Pirate Goofy ears w/bandana and also Pirate Mickey Ears, that I hope to REMEMBER to pack!pirate:

I'm not big on pirate night, but I bought some pirate t-shirt/costumes at Wal-Mart for few dollars each after Halloween . I think I'll probably pack them, if we wear them, fine, if not fine too. This is our one chance to dress up a little since my husband isn't coming. He would sooner die than don a pirate (or any other costume!):rotfl2: Can't wait to see your DS in his outfit! pirate:

I've been watching the weather for our cruise locations for the past couple weeks, and except for the time when they had unusually cold temperatures, it's been in the high 60s/ low70s fairly consistently at Port Canaveral, and both St. Maarten and St. Thomas have been high 70s/ low80s . CC has been slightly cooler. This sounds good to me, but remember when packing that it can be very cool/windy for the first few days at sea, until we get further south!

I am defintiely jealous of all of the snow you guys are getting. I really miss it. But of course if I was there I probably would feel different about it! :rotfl:

Hey TampaFamily where in Tampa are you guys? We are in the Land O Lakes/Wesley Chapel Area. The weather has been a bit gloomy lately.

Hi - we're in the Carrollwood area, it has been a little cool for Florida, not sure we'll get much sympathy from those with all the snow though! :)

We just booked my friend Diane in our room at the last minute. Only Gabby and I are doing the FE exchange, but now we have another fun lady added to the cruise. I am SO ready for a vacation (even though my boss is making me buy internet time on the cruise and keep up with my email :( ) Feb is the end of the quarter for my company, and it is a terrible time for me to take vacation.

Hi Diane, Welcome

Kim, did you get your room as of yet? Did you get a upgrade?

Yes, we are in room 6510 and I think it's a CAT 8 and we booked CAT 9 GTY (slight upgrade). We don't even care. I would take the laundry room at this point. I just want to be on the ship!!!!!

Congratulations on finally getting a cabin assignment and a warm welcome to your friend Diane! :yay:

Called DCL today to order myself the refillable beer mug, and they let me know we got moved to the early dinner.:thumbsup2 When we booked it was the late seating, but I sent the medical form in for my daughter back in November; she got diagnosed as a type 1 diabetic back in October, we were trying to stick to regular mealtimes like home. Now we just need to keep her away from the ice cream stand, Pinocchio's, Pluto's, etc.

Welcome Diane!!! :banana::banana::banana:

Sounds like we are all accounted for and ALL of us have cabin assignments! WOOHOO :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

NOW let the packing BEGIN!

I heard we are having snow here in Long Island on Friday night into Saturday, and Saturday is my future DIL's bridal shower. I hope everyone still comes. I'm going either way, but I hope she gets a nice showing. They said maybe up to 6 inches. But better now than next weekend!! Their wedding is March 12, and they got engaged in Disney in front of the castle! We were all there together, but the rest of us were anxiously waiting in Adventureland having a Dole Whip.

As to Pirate Night, my DH and I got matching shirts in PoTC on our last trip for the cruise. I'm bringing mine, but his won't fit Betty, so I don't know what she'll wear.

Barbara--Happy Anniversary! Another reason to break out the blender! What day is it?

I was wondering what you all think about us getting a group photo in the lobby one day or night? I feel like I know you all already, and I want to have something to remember this great cruise with. Do you think that's a good idea?

If you want to add to the countdown excitement, you can have the DCL horn as your cell phone ringtone ! Go to www.phonezoo.com and you can download it for free. I am dying to put mine on, but I don't want to give Kelly any clues! There are also some other great Disney ringtones - I have the recording from the monorail ... "Please stand clear of the doors... " and M-I-C-K-E-Y, and Wish Upon A Star

LOVE the Group Photo idea!!! :grouphug:

My Anniversary is FEb 16th

They just listed a Winter Storm Warning here! 12-18 + and the event will including high winds and blowing snow WOOHOO!

No snow here in GA...but still colder than I like it!

I also like the group photo idea. I know we'll get some good pictures at dinner each night --- but since some of us are scheduled for early dinner, we need to make sure we get some pics of the entire group.

I will let Diane know that everyone says hi and welcome. I just happened to talk with her yesterday and she sounded like she needed a vacation, and I told her we could fit another person in our room. I thought she was joking when she told me to call Disney and see if we could add her. Well, she wasn't. She's NEVER been on a cruise before (won't give her exact age but will say she's in her 50's but acts like she's in her 30's) and she is so excited. She said she'd give anything to get away from her husband for a week and stick her feet in the sand :)

You guys are all packing so early. I will end up waiting until the night before we leave.

She will be in good company.... Jody and I are "in our 50s" too. Anyone else??? And. of course we are also leaving our husbands behind... we already have a lot in common! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
