Feb 12th 2002 Day 6!
Some background:

Myself-40 something Disney nut hence my DIS name nutz4dzny!
DH- 40 something also feels the same as me!

Our 30th trip! 4th time BC Concierge! Also celebrating my birthday at V & A Chef's Table!

Our dear friends also came along,

Tom-His 4th trip but never with a Disney Expert! LOLOLOL!!! Also celebrating his birthday!
Kathy-his lovely wife

We stayed at the BC Concierge.

Today we got up early because we had to do one thing in the MK....Splash Mtn. It just opened from rehab and the day we were in the MK, Feb 8th, it was still down. We met for breakfast in the Concierge and then got to MK at opening and went right on Splash. Well, halfway through the ride, right before the drop into the laughing Place, it decides to shut down. It stayed down for 15 minutes and they sent 2 CM's to talk with us and keep everyone in their seats etc. Finally we had to get off. We got to go through the inside of the Mtn. and then to the back entrance. I took a lot of Pics, I will Post them later. We then went on BTMR and took the train all the way around and then Splash was open again. We did get Passes to get to the front of the line for Splash and BTMR. We finally started to leave by way of Tomorrow LAnd and we all decided to go on TTA and since Space was down for rehab we saw it all lit up inside! I had seen this before but the others didn't so they thought it was cool!

We got back to the BC and went to Concierge for snacks and then walked over to EPCOT. Went on SE and HISTA and then back to room to rest and we met at the Concierge for Wine and appetizers at 5 PM. We had PS for CG at the Contemporary so we made it there just in time and got a perfect Fireworks table.

Our meal was one of the Best! We had the best time and I took a lot of Pics. Here is a link to them!

They even made me a special birthday dessert! After that we went back to BC and had cordials at the Concierge and then we took a nice walk on the Boardwalk. This is one of the reasons I LOVE staying at the BC, wlking to EPCOT, the wonderful Concierge staff and the Boardwalk!

Once again a perfect ending to a wonderful day! Thanks to all who read this! I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am by re-telling it!

I am really enjoying your trip reports!! We must have been on Splash Mountain at the same time. That Wednesday was our last day of our trip....we had done MK 1 full and one half day already, but Splash was down then. So on that day, we went straight to Splash mountain. My DH rode with the 2 older kids while I waited with the 4 year old that didnt want to ride...then we swapped and it was my turn. I was really looking foreward to the ride as it was my favorite ride at MK when we went 2 years ago. The ride stopped several times, and then,....just as we get to the top of the BIG drop......IT STOPED FOR GOOD!!! Like you, I found the walk out quite interesting. Did you notice the parade floats parkes out back of SM? I found it interesting that the trees were planted in huge concrete "pots" (pots were at least 20 feet high) to give the impression from the front of the mountain that they were taller than they actually were. Thnkas for the reply! I did notice the floats and I took a few pictures with my friends 35mm camera, they are bring me the pics this weekend and I will Post them! I thought the Mountain was much higher also! They really do tick with with that forced perspective stuff! Stay tuned for Day 7!
