The part where it goes backwards can confuse you because its in the dark and the track is actually on a "decline twist."

Pay attention to this. If you are at all prone to motion sickness, this will tip you over the edge. I have no problem with drops, and usually love coasters. However, I can't ride Teacups --I get sick; (I also can't read in a moving car) This section of Everest really made me queasy for the rest of the day. There is a point where it stops and goes backwards, then does a bizarre turning dip in the dark. Just so that you are aware of it. The details are fantastic, the theming can't be beat. Just be cautious if you suffer from motion sickness.
To me it feels like there is an incline at first as it's going backwards, but people say it's a decline....all I know is that I do much better when I sit in front.
