Fear of Costumed Characters?

I remember being slightly intimidated as a kid, simply because they are so big and they come up and start touching you and hugging you.

I sought counseling and therapy for years and now I'm OK. j/k

I wonder if Kramer would be terrified of DL characters in the parks like he was of clowns... No soup for you!

Gotta love a Seinfeld reference! I can just hear Kramer answering your question and saying in a low voice and dragging out the word, yeaaahhh..... :guilty:

Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum creep me out too.

I think I'd scream if one touched me.

NO, YOU HAVE A MAGICAL DAY! *run*

Oh my, yes! I freakin' HATE Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.
Other than that, costumed characters don't scare me at all.
Clowns on the other hand.......:scared1: :scared:

Like Bumbershoot, Stephen King's IT did NOT help.......:lmao:

How about this......I once arm wrestled Tweedle Dum. He pointed at me then we went at it on top of a trash can. And yes, there was photo evidence. :rolleyes1

I somehow knew I'd have to post the evidence!

First these 2 guys were going at it.......

After crippling Tweedle Dee, he went after my son....

Then it was my turn......

I actually let him win as I was having mixed emotions going through my head about beating him in front of little kids. I didn't want to look like the bad guy! :thumbsup2

Haha! That's a pretty interesting little story!

I see those two almost every time I am at DL, it's like they know I'm afraid of them! :rotfl2:

Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum have always freaked me out, ever since the first time I watched Alice in Wonderland. However I can't think of any other characters that scare me. I go crazy when I see Mr. Incredible or Mulan, who are two of my favorites. However, I also get crazy excited anytime I see a villian, lol. ESPECIALLY Captian Hook. And of course there is a special spot in my heart when I see any of the princesses, especially when they are escorted by their beaus. Its just so cute :)

However, when I went two years ago with my two nieces and nephew, the two neices were very timid around the characters, and clung very close to their parents. I think they just can be physically intimidating.

HAHAHAH Aw Danny, what a good guy. Sacrificing your win for the kids ;)

hehe. Awesome story! I wish I wasn't so afraid of characters for this precise reason hahahah

Oh and seriously, even tho the story and pic is cute, I still wanna gouge their eyes out. At least you're positive you're the most attractive one in that pic LOL

Maybe I should tie my hands to my sides when we go HAHA

Hi everyone !! I'm shyboy72's fiancee and have my own account now !! YAY!

From when I can remember up to when I was about 13, I used to be TERRIFIED
of people dressed up at theme parks. Even ones who just had makeup on.
I don't know what it was, but they freaked me out. My mom said that one time
at DL, a character went to greet me (I think goofy), and I ran from Main Street
to Fantasyland ! She said that I used to run so fast that the only way they
knew where I was going was by watching the crowds part. It was like a road
map for them haha. I feel so bad for them because I used to do that at
Great America as well!!!

you know, I actually wondered if I should post this, lest one of the first impressions of me be that I fear costumed characters.

But I can now claim I am not alone. YAAAAAY haha

My Dd is scared to death of E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, she thinks he is just too creepy. We recently traded scary movie for scary movie, because I hate scary movies . I had to watch 2 of hers, Secret Window, and Sweeney Todd and she had to watch E.T. She still hated E.T. with a passion!! I liked Secret Window. But the blood in Sweeney Todd was very gory and I had to hide my eyes!!
