FD and F&W

Since no one knows for sure, I want to hear opinions. With F&W starting a week earlier this year, do you think FD will end a week earlier, too? I know, I know- "this is the year that they get rid of FD, so it will not happen this Fall." For kicks, let's imagine that they will still have it this Fall. What do you think?

I assume you are really talking about the late summer offer (meaning September dates)?? Too soon to tell, but my gut says that F&W will not have an impact on offered dates. They offer FD in Fall (Oct-Dec), and it covers several dates for F&W. Sept. will still need a big discount to get rooms filled, so I don't see much changing.

Thank you for asking for clarification. I was not clear, was I? Yes, I was speaking of the FD offer that has come out in April or May of previous years that covers most of September, ending usually around the last Wednesday of the month. We used it at least 3 years in a row because it worked with our fall break. This fall it will work once again as long as it goes through the last Wednesday of September.

I just hope they don't think it should be ended sooner because F&W is starting sooner. Of course, this assumes they have FD at all.

Reminds me- our first couple of times to book FD with the Disney Visa, the rumors were all over the board a few days before the actual release date, so I knew to get up early and make the call. One year I suspected it would be released a certain day, but when I checked the Dis the night before, no one knew a thing. Imagine my surprise when I just happened to log in the next morning and saw "FD is released....here are the codes!" I went from half awake to panic mode.
